Bowen asked respectfully.

As he spoke, he glanced at the conference table and noticed a stack of parchnt in front of the seats.

However, what caught Bowen’s attention was not the parchnt, but the two items placed on it.

One was a golden Maniya Gold and Silver Fruit.

The other was a piece of coarse cloth dyed on one side.

At that mont, Bowen’s pupils shrank suddenly, and a sense of alarm rose in his heart.

"Bowen, your face doesn’t look too good... It seems you’re not unfamiliar with the items on this table."

Count Wolf smiled slightly.

As he spoke, his expression gradually turned cold:

"Bowen, is there sothing you need to explain to ?"

"Master Wolf, I don’t know what you’re talking about..."

Bowen masked the fear deep in his eyes and spoke in a deep voice.

"Ha, still trying to play dumb? Look at the list on the table!"

Wolf snorted coldly.

Bowen’s heart skipped a beat.

He instinctively looked at the parchnt on the table, and his expression quickly changed drastically.

It recorded a list of nas.

More precisely, it was the nas of high-level officers who had joined the rebels and planned to rebel together in two days.

Among them, Bowen’s na was prominently listed.

Not good! It’s been exposed!

In an instant, a storm of panic surged in Bowen’s heart.

Without hesitation, he burst into rage, pulling out a hidden dagger from his boot and lunged at Count Wolf.

However, Count Wolf reacted faster.

He snorted coldly, kicked Bowen in the chest.

Bowen felt a sharp pain, couldn’t help but spit out a mouthful of blood, crashed into the wall, and slowly slid down...

At this mont, Bowen felt as if the bones in his body were about to fall apart.

There was nothing he could do, the difference in strength was too great.

Although he was an Upper Gold Knight, Wolf was half-step Legend.

In the next second, a row of fully ard knights burst in, clearly prepared, surrounding Bowen completely.

Among the knights, there was also a high-level officer.

Seeing the officer’s appearance, Bowen’s expression changed slightly, then turned to fury:

"Andre! It’s you!"

He recognized him, one of his trusted aides, and one of the earliest comrades in the rebellion, unexpectedly betraying him at the most crucial mont!

Hearing Bowen’s rebuke, the officer’s expression was complex, a hint of guilt flashing in his eyes.

He lowered his head slightly, sighed, and said:

"Sorry... Master Bowen, I’ve been exposed, but I still have a family, and I must consider their safety..."

"You!"

Bowen was furious.

He coughed blood as he struggled to sit up.

But he was quickly subdued by the knights again.

Count Wolf looked at him coldly:

"Bowen, tell your contacts and plans, and I can spare your life."

"Pah! Dream on! You noble dog!"

Bowen spat out a mouthful of blood foam, cursing.

Wolf’s expression darkened.

But soon, he sneered and said:

"Quite stubborn... "

"However, you may not care about your life, but I wonder if you care about the lives of your wife and child."

Count Wolf squinted his eyes and said.

Hearing this, Bowen’s expression changed drastically.

The next mont, he saw his wife being roughly shoved in by the knights.

"Manina!"

Bowen exclaid.

He wanted to struggle, but he was already gravely injured and couldn’t move under the knights’ restraint.

"Bowen, I’m giving you a chance, tell us your plans and accomplices, and in consideration of your years of service, I can spare you and your family."

Count Wolf said.

Bowen’s expression flickered, showing a struggle.

However, his wife Manina cried out:

"Bowen! Don’t tell him! Nobles can’t be trusted! Little Bowen has already escaped successfully! I’m not afraid to die! Don’t worry about my safety!"

"Silence! Gag her!"

Count Wolf roared.

Following his orders, the knights roughly stuffed a cloth into Manina’s mouth.

"Manina!"

Bowen was filled with anxiety.

The next mont, he saw a resolute gleam in his wife’s eyes.

Taking advantage of the knights’ unguarded mont, she suddenly struggled, dashed towards the knight’s longsword, and with a muffled sound, the longsword pierced through her chest.

Blood sprayed everywhere in an instant.

"Manina!"

Bowen stared wide-eyed, his expression ferocious.

Manina slowly slid down.

She made a few mumbling sounds, unable to speak, but her gaze towards Bowen was filled with infinite tenderness.

Bowen understood her gaze.

Within those eyes, there was comfort and encouragent.

Then, she closed her eyes heavily.

"Ahhh—!"

Bowen roared in anger, his expression sorrowful, bursting with unprecedented strength, and instantly broke free from the knights’ control.

In a mont, he punched a knight to the ground, then snatched the other’s longsword, and stabbed towards Wolf.

Wolf snorted coldly, casually drew his longsword, and cut down the enraged Bowen once more.

This ti, he did not hesitate, and with one stroke, chopped off Bowen’s head.

As Bowen’s commander for years, he was very aware of his character. With his wife dead and his child fled, this deputy commander would surely never divulge information about the Life Church again.

Scarlet blood sprayed, and even at the mont of death, Bowen’s gaze was still filled with endless anger.

His head rolled to the ground, his eyes bulging, staring at the sky.

And his body slowly collapsed, falling together with his wife’s corpse.

Count Wolf tossed aside the blood-stained white gloves, throwing them to the ground, and ordered the knights:

"Hang their heads in the camp to serve as a warning!"

"Don’t wait to find other traitors, first capture those guys on the list, bring more knights, don’t let them all run away."

The knights respectfully saluted, and dragged the bodies away.

The high-level officer who betrayed Bowen had a complex expression.

He cast a fearful glance at Count Wolf, struggled for a mont, and then replaced it with a face of apprehension:

"Boss... Boss, now, now can you spare my family?"

Wolf looked at him, and said nothing.

The high-level officer grew increasingly anxious.

He was about to say sothing more, but suddenly felt a pain in his chest.

Looking down, a sword tip had pierced through his chest, erging from his back.

It was the knight standing behind him.

He opened his mouth, bewildered, looking towards Wolf, but saw only a cold face.

Then, his body weakened, and he slowly fell to the ground.

In the last second of consciousness, he heard this sentence:

"I hate traitors the most, hang this guy’s body up too."

Then, the high-level officer knew nothing more.

"Boss, what about his family?"

A knight asked.

"Kill them all."

Wolf said nonchalantly.

"Oh, and also, chop up that little tail outside that’s been following us."

He added.

...

Ti passed minute by minute.

The trusted aide stationed at the base had not received any news, nor had there been any warning signals.

"Jibel, did the boss really say that?"

Beside him, the corps captain Fabian frowned, asking.

"Yes, the boss said if we see the signal, activate the ergency plan."

The Personal Guard Knight replied.

Fabian nodded, pacing back and forth in the room.

A mont later, he looked at the ti again, growing increasingly anxious:

"It’s been too long..."

After struggling for a mont, seemingly making so decision, he said sternly:

"No, we can’t wait any longer, change the plan now, activate the ergency plan."

"Not wait? But... there hasn’t been any signal..."

The trusted aide was startled.

"No waiting! It’s been so long with no news, there must be trouble, probably big trouble, we might have been exposed, maybe even Jurgen who followed us has t with misfortune."

"We have no ti to hesitate, nor the capital to gamble, everything must be prepared for the worst case scenario!"

Fabian said.

After speaking, he ordered the trusted aide:

"Jibel, prepare, we begin the ergency plan."

"But... Lord Fabian, what is the ergency plan?"

The trusted aide was sowhat puzzled.

"Plan exposed, advance actions, imdiately rebel!"

Fabian said.

Saying this, he took out a new Magic Scroll from the office, opened the window, and tore it open.

A dazzling light blossod on the scroll.

In the next mont, a blinding light shot into the sky, accompanied by an ear-piercing long whistle.

With a roar, a giant firework blood in the sky.

At this mont, even far away in Maniya City, it was clearly visible.
