The elf known as Bruce was still a bit puzzled,
“But… why would they do that? What’s in it for them?”
“I’ve asked other fellows.”
The indignant elf continued,
“All the fellows rescued are those exchanged with two or even three others by these people.”
“So… they must have a ans to enslave us! They’re planning to take us back, enslave us, and sell us at a higher price!”

Bruce remained hesitant,
“But… when they ca to communicate just now, they looked like elves, and… you should have sensed it too, they indeed felt like our kin.”
Upon hearing his words, the elf continued to sneer,
“Kin? If they can enslave us, they can certainly have enslaved elves deceive us! Did you forget how our stronghold was destroyed this ti?”
“Enough!”
As the two elves argued, the golden-haired elf Selena, who had been silent, finally spoke.

Selena was one of the leaders of the Oak Guardian, as well as their superior.

At this mont, a soft voice spoke up.
It was a half-elf girl.
“Mother Goddess’ revival?”
The elf who first spoke against shook his head,
“The Mother Goddess has long since fallen; it’s sothing the Elf Clan has already confird. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have left the Elf Forest to join the Oak Guardian to save our people.”

At this mont, she noticed that the entire group’s direction seed to be heading toward the Elf Forest!
However… considering that if they were heading to the Aries Kingdom, this route, though remote, was still viable, she wasn’t too certain.
And just at that mont, the wagon ca to a halt.
The door opened, and the elves and half-elves saw the dazzling sunlight outside.
The “humans” who had swapped them out of the comrce appeared before them, only their expressions were much more serious than the last eting.
For a mont, everyone on the wagon beca vigilant.
*What were these people planning to do?*
However, to the elves’ surprise, these people led all the elves and half-elves out of the wagon and, under their astonished gaze, released their bindings and handed each one a human weapon.

After all, having failed to exploit a glitch for resources, these rescued elves and half-elves were the players’ final spoils of this operation!
