Chapter 338: Chapter 321 Caught You

The battle between the players and rcenaries continued fiercely, while the clash between the Black Dragon Mairrel and several Silver rcenaries was heating up…

With each passing mont, players and rcenaries fell in battle, blood splattered across the ground, and bodies slowly faded away or turned to ashes scattered by the wind. Mairrel, too, accumulated nurous wounds under the onslaught from all sides.

Of course, the dozen or so Silver rcenaries besieging Mairrel did not gain much of an advantage.

They found that this juvenile Black Dragon was far more powerful than they had imagined.

Even with thirteen of them besieging together, and having used a Six-Circle Magic Array in advance to control the dragon, two less skilled Silver Professionals still unexpectedly perished under its sharp claws and Dragon Breath.

The standoff between the Black Dragon and the Silver rcenaries gradually stabilized, but the ordinary rcenaries found their battle growing more difficult due to another sudden incident.

In the archer and mage areas of the rcenaries, which were tightly protected, hundreds of rcenaries suddenly drew their weapons, turning to kill those who had focused their efforts on dealing with the enemies on the outer edges.

These were the first-test players disguised as rcenaries who had infiltrated the rcenary group.

As the war wore on, they had gradually moved to the poorly defended and unguarded mages and archers among the rcenaries.

In the confusing eyes of other rcenaries, these powerful first-test players suddenly turned against them, laughing uproariously as they caused mayhem within the rcenary ranks…

With the attacks from the first-test players, the entire battlefield beca even more chaotic, players on the periphery cheered, while the rcenaries showed signs of collapsing.

The battle grew increasingly brutal, the ground was already dyed red with blood, yet no one noticed that the blood splattered on the ground seed to be drawn by so unknown force, starting to move along a specific trajectory.

Thus, a huge and complex magic array ford beneath the battlefield.

At the very mont the array took shape, dozens of “Duke’s Mages” hidden among the rcenaries drew daggers from their bosoms and decisively stabbed them into their hearts.

The surrounding rcenaries were bewildered by their sudden suicides.

Then, in horror, they witnessed jets of black blood beginning to spurt from the chests of these self-sacrificing mages.

The bodies of these mages lted instantaneously, like ice and snow eting a fla, transforming into a vile black sludge.

This sludge quickly rged with the magic array on the ground, and the quiet array emitted a deep and glowing brilliance, releasing wisps of black mist.

An evil and chaotic aura began to spread incessantly throughout the battlefield.

The rcenaries in battle felt their bodies beco heavy, as if sothing was tugging at their legs.

Instinctively, they looked down, and in horror, they discovered black arms erging from the ground, grabbing onto their bodies and emanating a sinister, dark energy that relentlessly invaded their bodies…

As the encroachnt continued, the rcenaries were appalled to find their bodies beginning to swell, growing layers upon layers of black and hideous scales.

Players also fell victim to this bizarre power’s encroachnt.

However, the black arms could only grasp the players’ bodies without penetrating their flesh.

Even so, the players were startled by the sudden change:

“Holy crap! What the heck is this? It scared to death!”

“Shadow? Shadow monster? This thing is pulling at my leg!”

“Chop them down!”

The weapons exchanged from the shop seed to have an unexpectedly destructive effect on these strange arms.

The players expended little effort in clearing away the bizarre black hands ensnaring them.

However, the rcenaries at the center of the massive magic array almost entirely began to mutate toward monstrous forms.

With the invasion of black energy, most had already lost their senses, letting out bestial roars.

At this ti, the first-test players finally recognized the changes in the rcenaries:

“This is bad! They’re mutating into Despair Scale Monsters!”

“We can’t let them change! Kill them quickly!”

The dozen Silver rcenaries battling the Black Dragon also noticed the changes occurring on the battlefield.

They were shocked and angered to witness the rcenaries being relentlessly overtaken by the bizarre power, turning into monsters.

However, they soon ceased to pay attention to others.

For, to their horror, their bodies too began to succumb to the encroaching black power.

At this mont, the earliest mutated rcenaries fully transford into complete monsters.

The nacing black armor and signature dragon tail marked them as the Despair Scale Monsters the players had once encountered!

Yet, even after becoming Despair Scale Monsters, their bodies’ mutations did not end; they continued to swell.

With the swelling, countless cracks appeared on their bodies, from which black mist endlessly spread…

In the end, they reached their limit, and with agonized howls, their bodies burst into masses of black mist-shrouded sludge.

These sludges, seemingly coming to life, instantly surged toward the Black Dragon Mairrel, who was restrained by the Devil Vine.

Mairrel was also suffering from this bizarre power’s encroachnt.

Though its body had not undergone any mutation, its gaze grew vacant and dull.

Almost without resistance, it was wrapped by the surging bizarre sludge.

“Caught you.”

In a hidden space, an elderly voice slowly echoed, carrying a hint of satisfaction.

Then, intense spatial fluctuations began to ripple across Mairrel’s body.

Under a deep radiance, its enormous body suddenly beca illusory, twisted, and gradually disappeared…

This was the Teleportation Technique.

Not magic, but a teleportation unique to mythical creatures.

Every mythical existence, upon entering myth, could consu divine power within their plane to teleport to where their abilities could reach.

However, this ti, the one casting the teleportation was not Eve, but the Despair Dragon Nidhogg.

The notion of rcenaries hunting the Black Dragon was rely a facade.

Her true objective was to take advantage of the chaos to infiltrate her power into the battlefield, capture the Black Dragon, and teleport it back to her domain.

She didn’t need to reveal herself, and refused to expose her presence.

No matter who the opponent was, nor what traps were laid, Nidhogg would never step into them.

The only goal was to capture the target.

Nidhogg believed no one knew she could execute such a teleportation.

For in truth, this teleportation was easily interrupted by other mythical beings. Within a realm governed by another mythical being, it could easily be stopped if not disturbed.

However, having harnessed Abyssal power, Nidhogg had a thod to simulate a Divine Domain from afar using Abyssal power, temporarily isolating the powers of other True Gods.

The large magic array on the ground was used by her to simulate a Divine Domain.

Thus, no matter who the opponent was, they couldn’t prevent her from teleporting the Black Dragon away within her simulated Divine Domain.

Of course, this Divine Domain was fake and could be easily broken by a mythical being.

Nonetheless, Nidhogg seized this ti gap.

She had succeeded.

Mairrel’s figure vanished, the magic array on the ground collapsed suddenly, leaving a group of mutated rcenaries and players continuing to battle amidst the havoc.

anwhile, in a hidden underground ruin sowhere in Fengye Territory.

An illusory dragon-shaped figure coiled in the depths of the ruins.

Suddenly, before her, a deep radiance flickered, revealing a wounded juvenile Black Dragon.

It was Mairrel.

Seeing the Black Dragon appear before her, the hazy dragon face of the illusory figure displayed faint satisfaction and joy.

She extended an illusory dragon claw, reaching for Mairrel.

Yet, just as she was about to grasp him, Mairrel’s vacant gaze suddenly turned vibrant.

Its scarlet vertical pupils transford into a pair of resplendent purple eyes, instantly locking onto the illusory dragon silhouette.

“Caught you.”

An ethereal and lodious female voice echoed throughout the ruins.

The smile that had ford on the dragon-shaped spectral face froze.
