Now reading: Chapter 783 - 593: New Gameplay: Battlefield Summoning! from Elf Kingdom: Game of the World Tree, a Action novel by Crunch.

After returning to the Divine Country, Eve did not imdiately issue the Dwarves and the God of Forging’s commission in the form of a divine oracle.

Although the Dwarf Kingdom was located to the southeast of the Death Desert, in terms of distance, it was still quite far.

Even though the Death Desert now fell within Eve’s sphere of influence, and she officially extended her Teleportation Array system to Sandstorm City, Sandstorm City itself was also located deep within the Death Desert...

In this situation, even with the ability to teleport all the way from Winter City in the northern region of the Elf Forest to Sandstorm City, it was still a considerable journey from Sandstorm City to the Dwarf Kingdom.

Perhaps for Gold Professionals and Legendary Professionals, this journey wasn’t much, but it wasn’t feasible for the players.

*If they had to travel the distance to fight, Eve estimated it would be like the past struggles in the Death Desert, losing people along the way constantly.*

Of course, the number of players was now so large that even if a majority fell behind, as long as enough participated in the mission, there would always be sufficient forces once they arrived at the destination.

But why bother?

*Such a long distance, if no other preparations were made, then if players died, they wouldn’t make it back in ti to participate again, essentially losing their most BUG-like advantage...*

*From this point of view, it was best to establish an ultra-long-distance Teleportation Array like during the Underworld War, directly teleporting players over.*

However, the distance from the Dwarf Kingdom to Sandstorm City was much greater than from Blade City to Black Rock City in the Underworld.

*If they used a Teleportation Array, the consumption... it would be astronomical.*

So, after contemplating, Eve decided to utilize the power of the True God and adopt another more convenient and unorthodox thod...

Not using teleportation, but summoning!

True Gods... especially the True God of Faith, all had the ability to receive summons.

As long as they were within their domain of belief control, or if there was a sufficiently devout believer who could temporarily serve as an anchor point in the faith network, True Gods could receive summons to dispatch items or manpower to the target.

This was sowhat like a reverse sacrifice or an advanced teleportation combined with the faith grid, albeit with more restrictions.

At its core, it involved the True God teleporting or repositioning the entities connected to her faith network to the summoner’s side for a certain ti period...

This form of summoning could be further divided into two types.

One was permanent, and the other was temporary.

The permanent type was often used by True Gods to reward believers and required significant consumption, essentially being spatial teleportation.

The temporary type required less consumption and was often used where followers would set up a summoning array to call high-level "hitn," essentially being spatial displacent.

Teleportation was a one-ti trade, but displacent was the "deception" of spatial laws for a specified ti, which would lift after the ti limit expired.

Of course, since many worldly entities didn’t understand the true difference between the two, they generally regarded both as summoning and teleportation.

In the Segis Universe, when Evil God believers summoned demons, and church primates summoned angels, it was all essentially using the spatial displacent tactic.

However, for the True God, cross-boundary sacrifices were already quite consuming.

And for cross-boundary reverse summoning, even if temporary, the consumption was substantial.

Just like with teleportation, the cost of summoning was related to the energy intensity of the summoned object; summoning a Blazing Angel or a Demigod would entail even more outrageous consumption.

So, even though this thod existed, it was rarely used in ordinary tis.

Not to ntion, True Gods often set high conditions for summoning to pass a portion of the cost onto the summoner...

Going further, so True Gods would raise the summoning costs to an unreasonable level, essentially leeching magic power from the summoner during the summoning.

From this perspective, under normal circumstances, the consumption of magical materials required for requesting summoning from a True God was much higher than for teleportation.

However, this was a general situation.

Eve’s situation was quite special.

Eve’s true form resided within the Segis World, and her cost for accepting sacrifices was much lower than other True Gods, and the sa applied to reverse summoning...

At the sa ti, the players were different from typical believers.

They were individual consciousnesses Eve had drawn over from Blue Star; essentially, they were integrated with the ga system, which Eve had long since rged into her faith network...

So... the cost of summoning the players was actually much lower because there were fewer procedural steps involved.

Previously, Eve’s faith network wasn’t strong enough, but now with millions of believers, she could employ more advanced sacrifice techniques to reverse summon the players.

This ant that theoretically, Eve was now capable of granting believers, or those praying to her, a new ability...

That was to summon players to their side by paying a certain cost!

This was a concept Eve had been thinking about for a long ti.

As the map expanded, it was impossible to rely solely on players running on foot for everything.

If the plan went smoothly, Eve could naturally promote this type of summoning, conveniently using the players to "put out fires" and "gain experience" throughout the Segis World, anwhile boosting her reputation.

Of course, summoning players also used "displacent," and it was temporary.

*The fundantal reason was due to its lower consumption, and additionally, it could sneakily send players back ho via spatial laws after missions were complete.*
