Now reading: Chapter 810 - 605: Church Reform and the Founding of a Natio from Elf Kingdom: Game of the World Tree, a Action novel by Crunch.

The situation with Chosen City exceeding its population capacity was similar before.

When Eve opened up the construction of new cities to players, it wasn’t just because of the supply limitations of Chosen City’s productivity, it was also because the existing church managent was overwheld and players needed to branch out to form new managent organizations spontaneously...

After figuring everything out, Eve said:

"So... you’re suggesting that we need to appoint a Grand Priest and further refine the church structure?"

"That’s right, that’s exactly what I wanted to say, and I believe you are certainly capable of taking on the role."

Alice replied.

?

I’d rather not, I just want to slack off.

Eve complained inwardly.

She pondered for a mont, then said:

"The Life Church does need reform, but I’m not interested in becoming the Grand Priest."

"Why?"

Alice asked.

"Lazy."

Eve replied succinctly.

Alice:...

This... really leaves one speechless.

After a mont of pause, Eve spoke again:

"What about Serenadil, what do you think...?"

"Serenadil?"

Alice was slightly surprised.

She hesitated for a mont, then said:

"Lord Serenadil has been getting close to many female Chosen Ones lately. The clan’s opinions about him seem a bit ambiguous..."

After speaking, she lowered her head slightly and said sowhat remorsefully:

"It’s all my fault, I haven’t taught him well. He seems to have been imparted with so peculiar knowledge from the Chosen Ones..."

Upon hearing Alice’s words, Eve’s expression beca strange.

She also recalled seeing him being attended by a group of lively female players when relaying divine ssages to a certain Primordial Elf.

That guy... seems a bit spoiled.

He’s capable but doesn’t behave like a traditional elf, more like a cunning dragon overlord hiding beneath elven skin.

If Eve hadn’t disabled their GHS abilities among the first batch of players early on, this guy might have arguably started a harem among players...

It’s sowhat eye-burning in a sense.

After all, he isn’t human, he is an elf.

If not for the NPC protection chanism, he would probably have been harassed by male players.

Getting this guy as the Grand Priest might be feasible with his abilities, but you’d better weigh it carefully.

Serenadil is not suitable, Eve contemplated for a mont, then another na popped into her mind:

"So, what about Taylor?"

"Taylor?"

Alice was slightly surprised.

However, she quickly rembered whom Eve referred to.

Taylor Yan Sha.

He was the first elf purified of bloodline from the Oros Half-plane, and also a Life Priest from the initial batch of the Oros Half-plane.

His faith is incredibly devout; he’s a fanatic follower of the Goddess, yet he doesn’t possess the traditional rigid mindset of elves.

Moreover, although he’s an elf from the Half-plane, he is deeply passionate about Elf culture, and quickly bonded with the elves from the Sages Half-plane after his bloodline purification.

Currently, he is a Priest managing the Oros Half-plane’s Life Church, and it’s run well; unexpectedly, he’s a natural managerial talent.

With this thought, Alice’s heart fluttered.

A church’s religious leader most importantly needs excellent managerial abilities.

The candidate Lord Ling proposed is indeed not bad.

If there’s any drawback, it’s that his foundation is too thin, lacking enough prestige.

To beco a Grand Priest, one does need a certain degree of prestige to command respect.

"Taylor is indeed good, but his prestige within the clan isn’t enough to beco a religious leader, and his strength is sowhat lacking."

Alice thought for a while and said.

After becoming a true elf, although Taylor’s strength increased rapidly, he has yet to reach the silver level.

While there are plenty of silver rank elves in Elf Forest.

"Prestige and strength aren’t an issue; as long as True God recognizes them, everything can be resolved. We just need to inform True God of the candidate, the rest is naturally decided by True God himself."

Eve said.

Alice paused for a mont, then nodded:

"Indeed, if True God approves, these aren’t problems."

The more Eve considered, the more she thought Taylor was suitable; at this mont, she almost ntally decided on him.

But it’s only the kind-hearted and simple-minded Elf Clan that would do such a thing.

If it were another intelligent race, soone like Taylor as an "outsider" could never be accepted as a religious leader.

"Let it be Taylor then, I will report this matter to the Goddess, and everything will be decided by Her."

Eve said.

Alice had no objections either.

After thinking for a while, the Life Saintess added:

"Moreover, I believe the old Nature Church system no longer fits Elf Forest today. The ergence of Chosen Ones has changed the structure of the church; if we’re reforming, I think we should explore a new chanism suited for ordinary Elves and Chosen Ones based on the existing church foundation."

"The abilities of Chosen Ones are strong; I believe we can gather them like before, releasing quests through our current church structure, to optimize the existing model."

Eve nodded in agreent, quietly noting Alice’s increasingly blue star-like way of speaking.

"Letting Chosen Ones participate is indeed a good strategy. The previous Life Scripture was excellent, but the matter needs to be reported to the Goddess, only she can mobilize the Chosen Ones’ enthusiasm maximally."

Eve said.

"That’s exactly what I was thinking."

Alice said sweetly.

Eve nodded and said:

"Then let’s settle the second matter, as for founding a nation... We currently don’t have enough population, but we can consider it in advance."

All those Elf-Human Hybrids in Oros Half-plane will be purified sooner or later by Eve; the speed will only accelerate, so the elf population isn’t large now, but will surely explode in the future.

Ideally, it might even reach nearly three million.

And players, they are even more nurous.

In Eve’s view, players also count as population.

The "Elf Kingdom" operates well on Blue Star; she has long planned to run it long-term, even preparing to draw willing souls to Segis World upon player death, to remold their bodies, making them true elves.

Of course, right now, the hundreds of thousands of players on Blue Star haven’t faced death scenarios yet; as for whether mories are retained after player death, and if so, whether other restrictions are added, that’s another discussion.

However, one thing is certain, as Elf Forest develops, Serenadil’s downturn has made Eve realize that if the elves truly want to restore their nation, there’s actually no need to build a "Kingdom" like before.

Historically, the Elf Kingdom was established autonomously by the Elf Royal Family, centered around royal authority. It existed before the Nature Church spontaneously worshipping the World Tree, and eventually ford the well-known elven civilization.

But now the situation is different from before.

Religion and royal authority have always been opposing forces, conflicting.

In the past, Eve did not delve deep into it, but now when thinking about it, a nation where religion and royal authority unified is actually the best for True God.

Of course, this isn’t absolute.

Like in the Human World, many deities and churches exist, making a single tribal unified regi unlikely.

Even if it does exist, it’s only in so minor human nations.

But since the Elf Clan only believes in one True God, Eve?

This is the optimal soil for tribal political-religious unification!

Furthermore, connecting the ga system with the faith network under Eve’s control also makes a unitary religious-political system beneficial for better controlling players.

Of course, this must wait until the church system is further perfected to be considered.

With this in mind, Eve said:

"Regarding founding a nation... there’s no rush, let’s complete the church reform first; once the population increases more, then pray to the Goddess for divine guidance."
