“Lord Li Mu, have you already found out what happened there?”
“Yes, our fleet was wandering outside Zelolan and rescued a half-elf girl who escaped from a noble villa in Zelolan. We obtained so intelligence from her.”
Li Mu paused, his expression solemn:
“Lord Alice, Lord Ling, Fengye Territory… it seems that war is imminent.”
“War?”
“Indeed, the border earl, who governs Fengye Territory under the Holy Mania Empire, seems to have rebelled. This happened just a few days ago… I think soon there will be caravans conveying this news to the Elf Forest. We also saw many rcenaries by the shore, presumably all conscripted to go there.”
Li Mu spoke with a solemn expression.
“The border earl has rebelled?”
Alice was astonished.
“Yes, it appears that the Holy Mania Empire wants to reclaim powers belonging to the border earl, and the cause was a rumor.”

“Rumor?”
Alice frowned.
Li Mu nodded:
“The rumor is that the border earl of Fengye Territory is not truly human but a vampire hiding in the human world who sacrificed his soul to the Abyss Demon… Then, following the ‘Holy Decree’ established by the first Emperor of the Holy Mania Empire and the Eternal Church, the Empress announced the recall of the border earl’s Electoral Prince powers, stripping Cappadocia of its noble status… Hence, the border earl rebelled.”
“Half a month ago, the Empress had already appointed Duke Rosen, one of the seven Electoral Princes, as the Marshal, leading the Imperial Third Guard Corps along with several conscripted large rcenary groups, totaling about eighty thousand troops, heading towards Fengye Territory.”
Li Mu’s voice was deep and forceful.
After hearing his words, Alice and Eve, who were disguised as Ling, couldn’t help but glance at him simultaneously.
He knew too much detail…
“Did the half-elf girl tell you all this?”
Eve suddenly asked.
“Yes, Lord Ling.”
Li Mu replied respectfully.
“Where is she now?”
Eve asked again.
“She is currently in Gray Port, being cared for by mbers of our Nature’s Heart.”
Li Mu said.
“Gray Port? Why not bring her to Feilengcui?”
Alice frowned.
Though the Nature’s Heart Guild gave her the best impression among the Chosen One Guilds, Alice still found so of the eccentric actions of the Chosen Ones a bit odd, thinking that those returning elves should be first accepted by the church and guided by traditional elves to integrate into the new Elf Forest.
After all, countless facts have proven that the Chosen Ones lead the way all too skillfully, and many of the returning elves, especially the younger ones, are easily misled…
Not to ntion, simply learning to eat at and curse is enough to give Alice a headache.
However, listening to Alice’s words, Li Mu was sowhat hesitant.
He gave a wry smile and said:
“Lord Alice, it’s not that we don’t want to bring her to Feilengcui, but her identity is sowhat special… According to the Goddess’s regulations, she cannot venture deep into the Elf Forest before becoming a believer, let alone Feilengcui.”
“She is not a believer of the Goddess?”

After all, every elf and half-elf fleeing to the Elf Forest must have heard of Goddess Eve and chose to embrace the faith.

Eve asked.

Eve asked again.
“Sofia, her full na is Sofia von Wels.”
Li Mu answered respectfully.
“Sofia von Wels, huh…”

The number of rchant ships coming and going seed to have decreased significantly compared to usual, and the typically bustling docks were much quieter.
This starkly contrasted with the lively scenes observed in Gray Castle City, making it seem less like a port city famous for trade and more like a bustling inland elf city.
In the headquarters of the Nature’s Heart Guild, resembling a castle-style palace, in the inner city of Gray Castle, players were coming and going, creating a lively atmosphere.
Especially outside the Guest House of the headquarters, a large number of guild players were gathered, peering curiously and talking amongst themselves:
“Where is she? Where is she? Where’s the half-elf girl that Lord Dema brought back?”
“Tsk, in that innermost room, rumor has it she’s a sharp-tongued young lady, even Dema turned black in the face from her scolding…”
“Sharp-tongued young lady? In Elf Kingdom? Aweso, I love that…”

“So… the rumors I heard at the docks were true? Fengye Territory is going to war?”
“Not sure… Brother Mu and the others seem to know the inside story, but they’re now going to find Alice and the big sister.”
The players were discussing excitedly:
“A war? Does that an… we’ll have a new great battle?”
“Don’t get excited, it’s humans fighting humans.”

The players chatted as they craned their necks to look into the Guest House.
Of course, there were two Silver Bosses at the door controlling entry, so no one could get in.
Until a player dressed elegantly, with slicked-back red hair, walked up with a plate of delicious pastries.
“What’s all the noise? Make way, make way, I still have to deliver food.”
It was Demacia.
Seeing his well-dressed appearance, the players were montarily stunned.
Then they started making a hullabaloo:
“Wow, Lord Dema, why the change in attire?”
“Goodness, with that disguise, I almost didn’t recognize you!”
“Where’s the afro? Your afro is the real deal!”
“Tsk, tsk, is he seriously trying to woo an NPC? No way?”
As the players’ jokes beca more outrageous, Demacia’s face darkened.
He mused why, as a fellow high-ranking guild mber, everyone respected Brother Mu, but he, the vice president, lacked dignity…
“What nonsense are you guys talking? Just changing the outfit to gather intelligence.”
Saying this, he entered the Guest House.
Leaving behind a crowd of curious gazes:
“Gather intelligence? Does Lord Dema really need to gather intelligence? Isn’t he the best at fooling NPCs?”
“Tsk, looks like he t his match this ti…”

Holding the prepared pastries, Demacia reached the door at the deepest part of the corridor.
This was the best reception room in the entire Nature’s Heart, forrly used specifically to entertain Alice and the big sister.
He took a deep breath, put on a friendly smile, and gently knocked on the door, speaking in a warm tone:
“Miss Sofia, this is Demacia, I’ve brought your lunch.”
“Get lost.”
From inside, ca a cold and clear female voice.
Demacia’s smile froze on his face.
