If she wasn’t mistaken, this ship was likely ant to escort her upstream along the Vimur River to find Duke Rosen.
And those Dragon Scale Horses might just be the mounts provided by the Elf Clan.
With this thought, Sofia’s gaze turned to the shore, where the port area was already filled with nurous half-elf girls, so familiar, so unfamiliar.
These were tall elves, about twenty or so, both male and female, fully ard with luxurious equipnt, each possessing silver power, making Sofia take a few more glances.
Although magic power on the Segis Continent was continually rising and more Transcendents were breaking through ranks, this level of strength was still barely considered as powerful.
Elves stood in two rows, their postures upright.
The leading few were acquaintances whose nas the half-elf girl already knew.
Li Mu, Dema, Dongdong, ng Zhihan, and Moonlight Jasmine were among them.
They were gathered around the Divine Favored Ling Moonlight of the Elf Clan and the Life Saintess Alice Gale, engaged in a conversation...
Seeing Ling and Alice, Sofia’s eyes lit up slightly.
She approached them, pinched the corner of her clothing, and saluted:
"Good morning, Lord Ling, Her Highness Alice."
"Good morning, Miss Sofia."
The Saintess Alice also perford an elven greeting, responding warmly.
Divine Favored Ling also turned around and gave the girl a gentle smile:
"Good morning, Miss Sofia. How did you rest last night?"
"Very well, the food of the Elf Clan is delicious, and the wood beds with incense help with sleep."
The girl replied respectfully.
Of course, her slight dark circles betrayed her state.
Even though she clearly hadn’t slept well, the girl’s spirits were high and filled with energy.
Ling didn’t reveal the truth about the girl’s words; she nodded and introduced the surrounding elves to Sofia:
"Miss Sofia, they are mbers of the Iris Knight Order of Heart of Nature. Each one of them possesses the strength of Silver Lower Peak, and they will escort you to find Duke Rosen."
An Elf Knight Order?
Sofia was slightly taken aback.
She examined these elves more closely, then noticed an identical gold iris emblem on their chests.
Subsequently, Sofia’s expression beca solemn. She again pinched the corner of her clothing and saluted the elves:
"Sofia von Wels, greets the esteed Elf Knights."
Seeing the polite half-elf girl, the players returned the salute, though many cast odd looks toward Dema in the group.
anwhile, unbeknownst to Sofia, the teasing had already begun...
In the chat channel of the Heart of Nature’s Knights—
Xia Mu: "Weren’t you supposed to be sharp-tongued? They seem quite polite to !"
Moonlight Jasmine: "Probably Dema did sothing to annoy the NPC again?"
Dongdong: "Ahahaha... You guys don’t know, this guy just ate garlic fruit and then pulled a bold kiss on soone. It’s a miracle he wasn’t hunted down; his thick skin saved him, ahahaha..."
All players: ...
Xia Mu: "You truly are a genius!"
Dema: "Dongdong, don’t talk nonsense! I was performing artificial respiration!"
Dongdong: "Are you saying you didn’t have any ulterior motives? You ran faster than at the ti."
Dema: "..."
All players: "..."
"As expected of you..."
"Serves you right."
"Hahaha, Dema, your misery is always my source of joy, ahahaha..."
The chat channel was filled with a cheerful atmosphere.
Players chatted rrily in the channel, but outwardly, they maintained serious expressions, like disciplined soldiers.
Having played for so long, knowing how to chat in the channel while pretending to take tasks seriously in the ga had beco a necessary skill for veteran players.
Anyway... locking the facial expressions in the system was handy.
Though slightly inconvenient, it was perfect for preventing laughter during tasks or any accidental situations.
Overall... fooling NPCs was quite convenient.
This was a classic thod veteran players had developed through countless drops in favorability.
All this led the uninford Sofia to observe the players’ solemn expressions, nodding inwardly, for her evaluation of the Elf Knight Order rose slightly...
After introducing the escorts, Ling looked toward the schooner by the shore:
"This is the Natural, the fastest schooner in Grey Harbor. It will carry you and your escorts to the upper reaches of the Elf Forest. You will reach the human port town of River Bay in about half a day, then travel half a day on Dragon Scale Horses to reach Morning Star City, where Duke Rosen’s army is stationed."
Upon hearing Ling’s words, Sofia’s eyes lit up:
"Lord Ling, have you already located Duke Rosen?"
"Heh, it’s the Amway Chamber of Comrce’s intelligence network that found out. Our network extends throughout the western empire."
Dema interjected proudly.
Yet, the half-elf girl ignored his words.
She didn’t even glance at him, treating him like thin air, leaving Dema, who wanted to boast a few words, with an embarrassed expression.
Ling glanced at Dema, then said to Sofia:
"That’s the current situation. It’s said that the Imperial Army is gathering rcenaries there."
Sofia’s eyes lit up, and she expressed her gratitude:
"Thank you so much, Lord Ling. I will never forget your help."
As she finished speaking, a new scroll appeared in her hand, glowing with light:
"This is the vow contract I penned using borrowed paper and pen last night. I’ve sworn by my soul that once I return to my family and take control of my territory, I will fulfill my previous promises!"
The girl’s expression was serious as she spoke and handed a scroll to Ling.
Ling took it, but seed uninterested in the content of the scroll.
Without even looking, she put it away and nodded slightly at Sofia, saying aningfully:
"Miss Sofia, wishes you success. When you encounter difficulties, please rember to seek help from the Goddess’s statue."
Sofia was slightly stunned, then solemnly nodded:
"I understand."
After bidding farewell to the two leaders of the Elf Clan, the half-elf girl boarded the ship with the Iris Knight Order.
The ship hoisted its sails and left the port, gradually sailing into the distance...
As the schooner slowly disappeared from sight, Life Saintess Alice couldn’t help but ask:
"Lord Ling, do you think she will succeed?"
The disguised Evie gently shook her head:
"She won’t."
"Why are you so sure?"
Alice asked curiously.
"Because she is too idealistic."
Evie said slowly.
"Idealistic? Isn’t it because of her elf bloodline?"
Alice was a little curious.
With a slight pause in thought, Evie continued:
"For human nobles... elf bloodline is not an issue; it might even be a plus point..."
"However, even if Duke Rosen can accept a noble with an elf bloodline, he won’t accept an idealistic noble..."
"Why?"
Alice asked curiously.
"Because of the noble’s stance."
Evie sighed.
Listening to her words, Alice couldn’t help but say:
"You... seem to know a lot about the Holy Maniya Empire..."
"Just seen a lot of things..."
Evie shook her head.
"Seen a lot?"
Alice tilted her head, sowhat puzzled.
Evie did not offer any further explanation.
"Prepare to assign tasks to the Chosen Ones. Soon, Elf rcenaries will make their appearance. If luck is on our side, we might be celebrating the harvest festival in Fengye City in a few years."
She said to Alice.
After speaking, she turned and left the dock.
Leaving only Saintess Alice, lost in thought.
