If she rembered correctly, Tang Si’s car was just like this one.
Song Yi felt a flutter of excitent and quickly locked her gaze on the license plate. The license plate... wasn’t Tang Si’s.
A certain disappointnt instantly appeared on her face.
Jiang Jiayou noticed Song Yi looking in a particular direction and, curious, he followed her gaze.
Upon seeing the car, Jiang Jiayou lightly licked his lips. "Do you know soone over there?"
"No," Song Yi said as she unbuckled the seatbelt. When she lowered her eyes, she suddenly noticed a flyer on the ground.
That was from the place she and Tang Si ate at yesterday.
Song Yi’s hand froze for a mont, and she looked at Jiang Jiayou.
Ready to sense her strange gaze, Jiang Jiayou t Song Yi’s eyes. "What’s wrong?"
"Nothing," Song Yi shook her head and said, "I want to wait for my assistant before going in."
"You can go in first and wait," Jiang Jiayou said. "Your assistant might not pass the review, but we go in first, no ti wasted for anyone."
Song Yi laughed lightly, her tone indifferent, "If he can’t get in, I won’t either."
"After all, I ca here to check the venue with him, and I have to discuss things with him. Besides, you said everything here requires a review. Even if I ca to an agreent with the owner, it doesn’t guarantee my actors can get in later."
"I need to consider all these factors. As a boss, I should prioritize the bigger picture."
"If it’s not feasible, there’s really no need to waste ti going inside."
Jiang Jiayou’s lips moved as if wanting to say sothing but ultimately closed his mouth.
Song Yi opened the car door and got out.
The place was surrounded by forest, with a large gate above which hung a wooden plaque engraved with words.
[Yusui An Gu Resort]
The door was also made of wood. Next to it was a small hut under a large tree, inside of which sat two unsmiling n, with many people queuing.
Many left disappointed.
Song Yi frowned and wanted to pull soone aside to ask.
The people only said, "You’ll know if you try. We can’t talk too much, or we won’t get another chance to return."
Song Yi: "..."
Mysterious.
She licked her lips and looked at Jiang Jiayou. "You should know, right? You’ve surely brought many people in."
Jiang Jiayou smiled, "I know, but I can’t speak freely, otherwise I’d lose my job."
"Besides, I think you might be able to get through," Jiang Jiayou said. "From what I see, their review likely favors soone like you—single, pretty, good figure, nice height."
"These might be part of the criteria."
The more she listened, the more unreliable Song Yi felt this village was.
She started considering backing out, yet the environnt and layout here, along with the natural lighting, were perfect for shooting, and cars could drive up.
Song Yi didn’t wait long before Li Wen arrived, during which she kept staring at the car similar to Tang Si’s, thinking soone might get out from it, but nobody did.
They probably already went inside.
Li Wen got out of the car and saw Song Yi, asking, "Why haven’t you gone in yet?"
Beside them, Jiang Jiayou squatted on the ground, chewing a blade of grass, and upon Li Wen’s arrival, he spit it out with a ’pah’ and got up, "Wasn’t she just waiting for you? She said if you can’t get in, neither will she."
"Since we’re already here, let’s go in."
...
Elsewhere.
Zhou Liang looked at the high walls.
"Do you think if I fall and get crippled, the boss will cover it as a workplace injury?"
