As night fell, the sky turned crimson with fiery clouds, and the entire forest, the mountainside village, was enveloped in this blood-red hue.

Having spent a whole day here, Song Yi hadn’t found anything peculiar about the people in this place; rarely did anyone co out.

Li Wen must have heard them too.

She didn’t call Li Wen.

Minute by minute passed; Song Yi couldn’t fall asleep at all.

Suddenly, she opened her eyes, staring out the window. Under the chilly moonlight, a shadow seed to pass.

The window, once shut tight, now rattled in the wind, yet outside, it was empty.

Song Yi propped herself up, the blanket slipping down to her waist.

"Li Wen..." she called out.

Tang Si flipped in from the window, checking along the way, squatting by Song Yi’s bedside, hiding.

When he heard Song Yi’s trembling and light call, he froze.

"Song Yi." He murmured softly.

This familiar voice rang in Song Yi’s ear.

"Tang Si." Song Yi’s heart tightened, imdiately tossing aside the blanket to get out of bed.

In her rush, the room was dimly lit except for so moonlight.

Just as she hurriedly got off the bed, Tang Si stood up directly.

Song Yi’s foot stepped right on his head, causing her to trip, her center of gravity shifting forward.

Even with Tang Si’s quick reflexes, he couldn’t catch Song Yi.

Frantically trying to find a support point, Song Yi’s hand landed on a nearby shelf.

Gripping tightly slowed her fall, but the shelf shook under the force, threatening to topple, as Tang Si slipped past from the floor.
