Her wrist was suddenly grasped.

The man’s hand had thin calluses, and the way he rubbed her wrist sent tingling sensations throughout her.

She looked back at him, her eyes misty with confusion, "What’s wrong?"

Seeing her like this, Tang Si’s Adam’s apple bobbed slightly as he lowered his gaze, "Nothing."

His hoarse voice followed, "Go wash up."

Song Yi felt a little lost, not understanding the reason behind Tang Si’s actions.

She hesitated for a mont.

Then entered the bathroom.

Tang Si watched Song Yi’s petite figure, and his eyes darkened again.

He rubbed the spot that had just been hit with his thumb, a raw pain lingering.

She seed to harbor many secrets, was it that she was unwilling to share with him, or did she herself not know?

Why did she co to such a dangerous place and not tell him?

Was he not worthy of being told?

The man’s hand slowly clenched into a fist, lowering his gaze to the gloves he took from her hand, his black hair hid his eyes, a dazed look therein.

He had seen both Fu Jingsheng and Li Wen, she’d rather have them accompany her than disclose even a hint to him.

If not for Wen Mu’s matter causing him such repression and unrest, driving him to seek thrill and pain here—would he have missed her, perhaps never knowing she’d been here this entire lifeti?

And he wouldn’t know... her abilities.

The man’s eyelashes hung low, casting shadows over his eyelids, trembling slightly. He was afraid, truly afraid of drifting further apart from her, afraid that one day she’d vanish from his sight, his world.

Beco soone irrelevant to him.

The aura enveloping him was chillingly dark, heart-stopping.

The surrounding cold air like icy seawater suffocatingly subrged him, affording him no respite.

No one is born with a lazy, humorous facade, always joking with a smile, no one is heartless pretending never to be hurt.

Tang Si, such a person, was most sensitive, any small thing could be seen through with just a hint.

Yet before the one he loved, he didn’t want to say anything harsh.

Even if it was self-deception, he could lie to himself, as long as Song Yi didn’t say leave, he would never let go.

Even if it’s illusory, lacking any sense of reality.

He appeared indifferent and calm, but was cold to the core, nothing and no one could harm him, except the one he loved.

He willingly bore it, all his thoughts were centered on Song Yi.

It didn’t matter if he got hurt all over.

...

Song Yi went into the bathroom to take a shower.

Tang Si also went to another bathroom to shower.

In the bathroom, steam blurred the mirror, Song Yi rinsed the soap suds off her body and gently wiped the mirror with her hand.

In the mirror, her face beca clear, she lightly pressed her lips together, and water from her hair flowed down her face, wetting her eyelashes.

It made Song Yi lower her gaze, watching as water droplets fell one by one.

Her mood felt as if weighed down by a boulder, dragging her heart and lungs along.

What should she say if Tang Si asks later?

He’d long asked her where she learned those things, yet she truly didn’t know.

If she answers she doesn’t know, would Tang Si think she’s being dismissive?

Song Yi ran her fingers through her hair, exhaling deeply, her emotions wound so tightly around her she could hardly breathe.

Let it be...

...

Both finished their showers.

When they ca out, they were both dressed.

When Song Yi reached the backstage eting room, he was already sitting there waiting.

The black shirt and trousers outlined his tall figure, his leg was crossed casually, relaxed and laid back, an easy air effortlessly exuding.

His head was lowered, looking at his phone, the glow from the screen casting light and shadow on his face, both bright and dim.

Hearing movent, the man raised his eyes, looking towards Song Yi at the door.

A slow smile drew on his face, gesturing at her amicably, "Co sit."

At this mont, he had an air of laziness but also restrained composure.

Calm with the sa gentle mirth in his peach blossom eyes, seemingly unchanged in tranquility.

However... being too calm was unsettling.

She never seed to have seen Tang Si like this.

Calmly restrained with no signs of anger, yet everything felt normal.

It gave her the feeling of a storm brewing, a wave looming.

Song Yi pressed her lips slightly, sat down beside Tang Si.

He didn’t speak, making Song Yi inexplicably nervous, reaching up to smooth her freshly dried hair.

The feeling of being a guilty thief arose, she hadn’t been this nervous when she’d caused trouble at school and been summoned by her parents.

Sitting straight next to him, her charming eyes shaded with a gentle smile, soft and delicate, she gazed at Tang Si, silent and unspeaking.

Tang Si uncrossed his leg, turned to look at her, seeing her overwheld, a bit dazed, looking slightly pitiable, a strange protectiveness gripped his heart.

He couldn’t bear to face her with such an expression, Tang Si subdued his concerns, letting go of all the negativity.

Suddenly, he chuckled softly, gently touching her cheek with the back of his hand, "Why do I feel like you’re a little nervous?"

The touch of her delicate skin felt divine, as if a gift from the gods, enchanting him to no end.

His voice and rhythm were in that soothing tone, making people naturally relax, as if having a magical power.

Song Yi looked down at him, observing the pronounced muscles along his arm, utterly seductive.

Her gaze rose along his arm, eting his peach blossom eyes.

A gentle smile swiftly blossod in his eyes.

Stably composed, a sudden smile erged, captivating, causing one’s heart to tremble.

Song Yi exhaled deeply, calming herself down.

Now wasn’t the ti to think about those things.

"Not nervous, maybe just a little tired earlier." She sat upright, a softly alluring woman, even without adornnt, was a tender flower eliciting affection and love.

And she was his person.

Song Yi’s mind and body eased significantly, as his smile had a seductive effect, relaxing her entirely.

"Mhm." Tang Si’s thin lips pressed together, his gaze fell on her face, the man seed a bit hesitant, a bit uncertain.

After much thought, he spoke gently, unhurriedly, making it impossible to avoid: "How do you know these things, who taught you?"

Having asked, he fell silent, waiting for her reply.

He was prepared to accept whatever her answer might be.

For he loved this person.

Song Yi seed to feel his unease, eting his deep eyes with furrowed brows, his pupils slightly trembled, his voice a bit hoarse, "What’s wrong? Don’t want to say?"

Before Song Yi could reply.

He let out a light, soothing laugh, his large hand searching his pockets only to find the cigarettes on the table behind her.

This action, conversely, revealed his internal restlessness.
