Her tone was cold, eyes unwavering: "Can you think about it properly, would I look down on you? I’ve known all along and still stayed by your side, urging you to see a therapist, is that disdain? What I want is nothing more than your honesty."

"What angers is that you didn’t tell , what angers is that you shoulder everything yourself, pretending to be unfazed, but in reality, you’re more exhausted than anyone."

The more Song Yi spoke, the more her nose tingled with emotion, her heart wrenching, and her eyes felt warm, misting over with tears.

She avoided looking at Tang Si, turning her eyes away, choking up slightly, with her view blurred by tears, yet she suppressed her grief and continued: "Conversely, I worry about you being overwheld, that negative emotions impact your condition, afraid to tell you anything."

"I fear that after telling you, you’d worsen, unable to bear it, and then what am I to do? I’m also afraid that exposing you directly would hurt your pride."

She had many worries.

But every concern was just like him, aiming to spend a long ti together.

Song Yi spoke, taking a deep breath, sniffling as she tried hard not to cry.

Then, she turned back, eting Tang Si’s eyes directly.

"Tell , since being with , how many tis have suicidal thoughts crossed your mind, how many tis did thoughts of resisting treatnt arise?"

Her words fell on Tang Si like a fine cold rain.

It made him feel a chill throughout, and when everything was laid bare, it felt like an execution scene, oppressive and unbearable, with no right answers in sight.

He knew how unpleasant, how dark, his buried rage was within.

Faced with her questioning.

His thin lips quivered slightly, forcing himself into calmness.

Yet his slightly trembling hands gave away his inner turmoil.

"Many tis." The man’s voice was hoarse, resonating with a mournful rasp: "This isn’t sothing I can control. I want to live well too."

"You let see that the world can still be beautiful, and there’s aning to life."

The man’s deep eyes revealed traces of suffering: "So I chose to take dication and accept treatnt."

"Hiding it from you was out of fear you’d think less of ." Tang Si’s Adam’s apple bobbed, spilling words from his throat: "I’m sorry."

At this mont, saying more was futile, all words were pale and powerless.

His tone was heavy, serious: "I didn’t know."

Didn’t know that hiding this would bring about such a series of negative effects.

And didn’t know how to navigate a relationship for the first ti, nor how to get along with soone who likes him.

Song Yi was the first.

But indeed, during this learning process, it had been hard for Song Yi.

He thought he could handle it well, but with any first-ti endeavor, no one does it perfectly.

Just when Tang Si thought Song Yi might give up on him.

He heard the woman’s soft voice: "I don’t bla you."

Tang Si lifted his eyes, a light erging in his peach blossom eyes, his gaze intense and focused on her, his heart trembling, his body rigid with surprise.

Even her eyelashes were soaked with misty tears, making her look enchanting, yet she spoke earnestly: "But you still have a lot of faults."

Tang Si frowned, remaining silent, waiting for what Song Yi would say next.

Song Yi suddenly collected herself, sitting calmly, her gaze unwavering on him.

"If you want to pursue , you must et three conditions: first, you can’t hide anything from , when I ask, you must answer truthfully, about your job, I won’t pry, nor your tasks, but I need to know where you go and when you’ll return."

"Second, you must comply with the therapist’s treatnt, diligently taking your dication, no resistance allowed."

"Third, mistakes demand correction, but mistakes also co with punishnt. To prevent you from repeating them, you can pursue until I’m satisfied."

"That’s all."

Tang Si listened quietly, the fine sweat on his forehead gradually disappearing, the taut line of his lips relaxing, lips returning to their natural pale red hue, and a few seconds later, he suddenly curved his lips and smiled.

The tight string in his heart slackened at once, fortunately.

He had a chance; she didn’t just push him away.

Even though she was still just a young girl herself, she was here comforting him.

The man lightly pressed his lips together, eyebrows lifting into a graceful arc: "So...does this an you’re setting guidelines for ?"

Song Yi raised her brows, nodding, her expression unyielding, unwavering.

Indeed setting guidelines.

Tang Si chuckled lightly, his voice lazy and hoarse: "Then can I make requests?"

"You still dare to have requests?" Song Yi couldn’t help but glare at him.

"Song Yi." Tang Si’s tone was earnest: "I’m already twenty-eight, almost thirty next year. You have to give so assurance, right?"

When he said this, Song Yi thought over it seriously, and it did seem reasonable.

"Go ahead, let hear them." She couldn’t allow herself to be shortchanged.

"While pursuing you, don’t run off with other n."

"Hmm, and then?"

"And then..." Tang Si licked his lips, his voice very low: "If you don’t like anymore, give a clear sign, I’ll continue to like you, for a lifeti, but I won’t cling to you."

These words were spoken lightly.

Yet they weighed heavily on Song Yi’s heart.

"I won’t..." Won’t stop liking you.

"Promise ." Song Yi couldn’t finish speaking before Tang Si interrupted her.

"Hmm." Song Yi responded sulkily.

"Are you unhappy?" She stared at Tang Si and asked.

"Why would I be unhappy?" Tang Si: "We’ve talked it out, misunderstandings are cleared. I’ve got hope while pursuing you."

The man’s tone held a touch of satisfaction: "So I’m not unhappy, today is a happy day."

"Song Yi." Tang Si called to her: "If sothing cos up, don’t bear it alone, like today’s matter." Tang Si’s gaze deep, "What if you encountered sothing unexpected, what then?"

Song Yi pursed her lips, feeling a softness in her heart: "I understand."

"So." Tang Si’s Adam’s apple moved, staring at her fair little face: "What do you think of your skills and abilities?"

Song Yi furrowed her brows, feeling confused about these things too: "I have a few years of washed mories; those years are blank. I want to know what I used to do, but I don’t know where to start looking."

"I’ll help you investigate." Tang Si said: "But in the future, don’t show these abilities to others, to avoid being targeted by those with bad intentions."
