"Um... When you beca a bartender, did soone appoint you?" Bologue inquired.

"Are you trying to ask if there is a founder of the Undying Club above us?" Serey caught Bologue’s implication.

"I rember this, we discussed it before." Serey felt that the sa conversation had happened once before, a long ti ago.

"I know, it’s just that after so events, I thought about them again," Bologue said.

The last ti they talked about this was due to Sai Zong’s departure.

Bologue had already beco quite familiar with everyone in the Undying Club, including the indestructible sculpture and the mummy-like "Old Undead."

As for whether they were familiar with him, Bologue wasn’t sure, but at least he always greeted them properly.

But Sai Zong was different; Bologue hadn’t interacted with Sai Zong for long, and Sai Zong’s obviously neurotic dog-like posture made Bologue uncomfortable. Even until Sai Zong left, Bologue hadn’t had much exchange with him.

After his departure, Bologue speculated with Serey that Sai Zong’s seniority might even be older than Serey’s, and maybe he knew sothing. More speculation arose because of the undead’s long lifespan, making the ti span incredibly vast.

Bologue thought he could uncover the secrets of the Undying Club, but considering the undead’s perception of ti, it would take him at least several decades.

"I’ve said this before, no one appointed . By the ti I realized it, I had already beco a bartender."

Serey looked around the Undying Club, "It’s like the Cultivation Room of the Order Bureau, you might have similar illusions. The Cultivation Room seems alive, endowed with life force.

Sotis, I feel the Undying Club is the sa. It’s a twisted, deford organism that provides shelter for us undead. In return, we have to pay the price. When it needed to beco a bartender, I inevitably did, serving to maintain the club."

"That sounds pretty scary."

"It’s fine, just consider it rent," Serey replied with an indifferent look.

"When you’re tired of this world, you can co live here," Serey continued with a delicate tone, "reach the future."

Bologue chuckled at this, thinking Serey looked quite silly, "I wouldn’t waste ti sleeping."

"It just ans you’re still excited about the world. When that excitent fades, you’ll understand."

Bologue put his foot up on the table. Chatting with Serey was quite enjoyable, like conversing with an even more unruly Palr.

"Serey, have you ever thought about who the master of the Undying Club is?"

"I have thought about it, but I can’t figure it out," Serey replied, "The Undying Club seems to impact us, making us fulfill our roles, so the true master never needs to show himself."

Serey’s tone grew serious, "Have you ever kept a hamster?"

"No, why?"

"Sotis, I think maybe we are like his hamsters. This Undying Club is the cage, with him hiding in the shadows, watching our daily routines like... like a live-action soap opera."

"Sounds like a voyeur, but definitely sothing undead could do."

To pass ti, the undead seed to do all sorts of silly things. Serey’s description reminded Bologue of Belphegor.

Serey glanced at the stairway again, "I don’t know if the Undying Club has a master. If it does, he must be in one of the rooms in this endless corridor."

"Have you tried looking for him?"

"No, the stairway is almost infinite. You need the key to the corresponding door to find your room. Otherwise, it’s just endless blind progression, much like the Curved Path Gate."

Serey paused, looking distressed, "Okay, I did try to see if there’s an end to the stairway. I walked for months and found no end. But when I wanted to turn back, I almost instantly returned to the starting point."

"Sounds really weird."

"It’s alright, as long as you don’t mind, this place is no different from a regular inn."

Serey continued, "That’s the good thing about the undead, many things don’t matter, like sleeping in a haunted house."

Bologue coughed twice, clearing his throat. As he delved into hidden secrets, Bologue gradually realized many things, sotis without needing anyone to tell him, deducing them just from appearances.

"Let phrase it differently, Serey,"

Bologue asked seriously.

"Who do you think has the ability to create the Undying Club?"

Serey saw through Bologue’s intentions, gave a bitter smile, then asked, "Must I lay it out this clearly?"

"Yes, a definite answer," Bologue said, "I’m sure you’ve thought about this decades ago."

"Hmm... The Undying Club, it’s a magical place, a shelter for all fugitives."

Serey sighed.

"Besides the Devil, I can’t think of anyone who could create such a place."

Receiving the answer he desired, Bologue felt a subtle thrill. He then asked even more probing questions.

"Which Devil do you think created the Undying Club?"

Bologue was a thinker, constantly iterating based on existing information.

Like Serey said, a harbor for all fugitives...

In a quiet voice, Bologue noted.

"Which Devil’s domain could this be?"

The crazy mystery finally manifested before Bologue’s eyes.
