After violent bubbling, the blood water cald down, like a delicate mirror surface, reflecting the figure of a man. Then, in an instant, the reflected image changed, and a graceful lady replaced the man’s figure.

She extended her hand towards the man, but it did not break through the mirror; it just appeared directly before the man’s eyes. As he raised his head, he saw the lady had sohow co before him—the figure in the blood water was just her reflection.

"You’ve crossed the line, Beelzebub."

In the face of this lady, the man’s voice was cold, filled with oppressive killing intent.

He hadn’t been this angry in many years. If he hadn’t accidentally returned at this mont, perhaps Beelzebub would have already knocked on the large door behind him.

Beelzebub’s voice was filled with allure, "I am not here to see you, Sai Zong, but the one behind the door."

Upon hearing this, Sai Zong’s expression slightly trembled—it was not fear, but the extre suppression of anger.

At this mont, Sai Zong looked extrely disheveled, covered in dirt and dust as if he had returned from a faraway place. As for his ridiculous dog costu, who knows where it’s been thrown.

Beelzebub’s overreach ignited Sai Zong’s fury, and the blood all over the ground undoubtedly catalyzed Sai Zong’s resolve. He tried hard to remain calm, speaking through gritted teeth.

"Shut up."

"You should know, he... you cannot continue to hide, you’re part of the conflict, you can’t remain uninvolved."

Beelzebub seed to be staring into Sai Zong’s eyes, but her gaze actually fell beyond the door behind him. Her goal was simple—just to open that door—but now Sai Zong was blocking it like an unscalable wall.

"Leave, Beelzebub, don’t make repeat myself."

Sai Zong’s voice trembled, vaguely accompanied by the clang of sword fighting.

"You may not care about the conflict, but what about the ’New World’?"

Beelzebub pushed all her chips forward, knowing Sai Zong wouldn’t give her many more chances to speak.

The word New World seed to have magic power, causing Sai Zong’s surging rage to cool for a mont. Seeing this, Beelzebub knew she’d bet her chips correctly and continued.

"According to information from Mammon, he suspects Leviathan is still working on the New World plan, aiming to surpass everyone and beco the sole winner... We must stop him, just like during the Fall of the Holy City."

Sai Zong remained silent.

"What are you hesitating for? Once he becos the sole winner..."

Sai Zong roared, interrupting Beelzebub.

"Then let him win!"

A robust arm grabbed Beelzebub’s throat, a subtle cracking sounded within the flesh. Upon contact, Sai Zong instantly snapped her neck.

Pulling Beelzebub forward, Sai Zong gazed at her eyes, which still burned faintly, and whispered.

"Get out, and don’t co back."

The mont he completely extinguished Beelzebub, infinite fires erupted in Sai Zong’s eyes.

Hell-like flas surged in waves, fueled by anger and blood, rising amid the blaze; countless weapons swung, skulls flashed one by one, stacking up to form a High Tower.

Beelzebub’s body transford into a pool of blood, and the blood pool beneath Sai Zong’s feet began to evaporate rapidly, as if it had never existed.

When the blood water completely faded away, a fragnted, unrecognizable corpse was exposed. Judging by the shredded clothing, he seed to be a mber of the King’s Secret Sword, used by Beelzebub as a vessel to reach this place.

Sai Zong waved his hand, the corpse completely collapsed, turning into a sar of dust and scattering, while he sat leaning against the door. At so point, the snores disappeared, turning into aningless mumbling, as if soone was disturbed, about to awake.

After wiping off the dirt on his leather shoes, Sai Zong’s gaze was vacant, and then he humd an old ballad like a lullaby, soothing the presence behind the door.

Gradually, the mumbling ceased, and soft snoring resud, faintly accompanied by the sound of turning over.

Only then did Sai Zong’s tense expression relax, a slight smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.

"I will handle them," Sai Zong murmured, gently touching the door panel, "I won’t let anyone wake you."

...

The tranquil Blood Lake suddenly churned and boiled, as if sothing was struggling and tumbling within the blood water. The sound of splashes accompanied by waves of painful cries ca, and then the heavy heartbeat sound overpowered all other noises.

This sound beca heavy and oppressive, like it was unobstructed, easily penetrating the thick rock and passing through layers of barriers.

It reached the ears of the White Servants.

Since the Scarlet Night, besides the King of Slaughter, only the White Servants have been allowed to exist here long-term within the Pillar of Royal Authority. No one knows where these white-robed, silent figures co from, nor do they understand what they look like beneath their robes. The only known fact is that the White Servants always remain silent and absolutely loyal to the King of Slaughter.

The White Servants guarding the corridor also heard this faint heartbeat. They originally should have no emotions, but the heartbeat sound was like a curse, echoing in their minds, gradually growing from a faint tone to a booming rhythm, driving their hearts to beat powerfully.

An emotional surge entered their previously blank and tranquil minds. The puppet-like White Servants exchanged glances; the sound of the heartbeats was so clear that both could hear each other’s.

Excruciating pain erupted in their chests, and their hearts seed to be cursed, beating so intensely that even their chests visibly fluctuated. A large amount of blood rapidly circulated throughout their bodies, causing the temperature of the White Servants’ bodies to rise. After another heartbeat that resembled a war drum, the poor heart, unable to withstand the burden, exploded into a mass of foul blood.

The sound finally faded away.

The White Servant collapsed, turning into a corpse.

Another White Servant stood in a daze where he was, having withstood the drumming, but following that was a raging emotion that surged through his boiling blood.

A naless fury overwheld him, as if wanting to destroy everything. He drew the blade from his waist. anwhile, a series of footsteps approached from the other end of the corridor. Another blood-soaked White Servant, wielding a blade, was searching for a foe, madness mirrored in his eyes.

The two exchanged a glance, both uttered hoarse battle cries, and charged towards each other, vowing to plunge their blades into their opponent’s heart, to silence the disturbing drumbeats.

At this mont, such slaughter and death could be seen everywhere within the Pillar of Royal Authority. Everyone who heard the drumbeats seed cursed, plunged into hysterical madness until their demise.

In the depths of the Pillar of Royal Authority, the boiling lake gradually cald down, and the drumbeats emanating from the lake’s depths also diminished and fell silent.

A woman wearily erged from the blood, her face exhausted and haggard.

"He refuses to join the battle and wishes to remain neutral," the woman suddenly laughed, "He really is naive."

Beelzebub seed to be speaking to soone, and she declared firmly.

"If we can’t get him, we’ll have to destroy him."

As if in response to Beelzebub, a hoarse laugh sounded shortly after, echoing within this underground cavern.

...

Serey lay asleep on the table, snoring soundly, and Bologue’s arrival disturbed his quality sleep. He decided to take a nap right there. Just as his snores began, Serey seed to have a nightmare, suddenly jolting awake, body instantly stiffening, knee bouncing against the tabletop.

"Ah..."

Serey clutched his knee, letting out a painful wail, but soon Serey noticed sothing more important.

"What’s going on? I always sleep well."

Serey rubbed at his chest, shaken awake, his heart pounding as though in a fright. It wouldn’t calm down quickly, and his entire body broke out in a cold sweat, as if sothing terrible happened in his dreams.

After repeatedly taking deep breaths for a while, Serey’s heart cald down. Just as he was about to let out a long breath, footsteps sounded from the staircase.

Serey tensed up again, his nerves constantly on edge due to the bizarre palpitations.

Just as Serey was ready for battle, a comical figure erged from the staircase.

To be precise, crawled out.

The person was wearing an orange clown costu and a cat-shaped headpiece. Seeing Serey, he waved his massive cat paw.

"ow~"

Serey almost threw up.
