Lebius hesitated for a mont, he was not controlled by rage, but made the sa rational choice as Bologue. The silent Blade-Biting Wolves were reawakened, and they sward out, rushing toward the First Seat and Red Dog.
These alchemy puppets posed no intimidation in front of the two. The Power of the Extre Realm effortlessly tore through the bodies of the Blade-Biting Wolves, and the white mist of the First Seat corroded them into a state of devastation. When one Blade-Biting Wolf managed to reach the First Seat’s sight, the First Seat suddenly swung a scythe, a ghastly white light instantly descended, the tal shattered directly into useless debris.
Lebius used every ans to delay but couldn’t hinder them in the slightest.
Suddenly, Lebius stopped; he stood in place.
"Go!"
Bologue shouted at Lebius, just escape with the Iron Coffin into the Cultivation Room, and they would win; this distance ant nothing to them, being Higher Tier Condensers.
"We can’t escape," Lebius shook his head, "that’s the First Seat, a dignified Seeker of Glory."
"Are you surrendering?" Bologue asked.
"No, I want to win, but to win over a Seeker of Glory, soone must sacrifice," Lebius whispered, "this is my last chance, Bologue."
Bologue paused for a mont, understanding Lebius, "Are you using such nonsense to justify your foolish act?"
What last chance, it was nonsense; Lebius never cared about the fate of his soul.
Seeing he couldn’t deceive Bologue, Lebius’s voice carried a hint of amusent, "I must admit, I’m trapped in this secret war; since then, I’ve always had nightmares... If I escape now, I think I’ll never find a chance for release again."
Bologue looked deeply at Lebius; facing such a stubborn fellow, persuasion was unnecessary.
Geoffrey beside them was deafened; he couldn’t hear what they were saying, but Geoffrey still sensed so unease from the odd atmosphere.
"What are you doing!" Geoffrey shouted helplessly.
No one paid attention to Geoffrey.
As for Bologue...
"We surrender!"
Bologue suddenly raised his hands, shouting toward the First Seat and Red Dog.
Geoffrey stared at Bologue’s actions, stunned; he had never thought Bologue would make such a move.
Bologue raised his hands high, slowly retreating to the Iron Coffin behind him; seeing him like this, the First Seat and Red Dog’s approach also slowed. Red Dog’s eerie laughter echoed; he never missed a chance to mock.
The Iron Coffin opened, with the Canyin light glowing.
Bologue looked at the body soaking in the container, which resembled a Celestial God. Its eyes were tightly shut as if in deep sleep.
Ancient awe flashed across Bologue’s heart; he then punched the container, the light dimd, and Bologue proceeded to lift the soggy Xilin from the container.
Although dead for years, Xilin still reflected the patterns of the Alchemy Matrix on his body... these were projections from the soul’s projection onto the flesh.
Only when body, mind, and spirit united, Secret Energy could be awakened.
Bologue held Xilin’s corpse, toward the two afar, Xilin was right before their eager eyes, even for the two, a trace of frenzy rose in their expressions.
"Bologue!"
Geoffrey shouted uncontrollably; he couldn’t hear, nor understand, the residual pain from the Heart-devouring Song lingered, his heart was about to shatter.
"It’s okay."
Unintentionally, Bologue mouthed to Geoffrey, then stood by Lebius’s side.
"Captain, you really trust ," Bologue whispered, "I thought you’d kill as soon as I smashed the Iron Coffin."
"Rule one," Lebius replied casually, "I guess you’ve figured out what to do."
"Yeah, anyway, I’m an Undead. Whether to escape or not, it makes little difference to ," Bologue acted brilliantly, talking while striding forward, "So I have to use myself as a tool for maximum benefit."
Suddenly, Bologue stopped; without any warning, a jet-black arm protruded from Bologue’s chest, grabbing Xilin’s corpse, completely separating from Bologue, harnessing all the power, and sprinted toward the Great Rift’s outskirts.
Aimou, the amazing Aimou, was a shadow aligned with Bologue. She always appeared unexpectedly.
While passing by Geoffrey, Aimou gave Geoffrey a hard yank, dragging him to run.
So things don’t need too many words; Geoffrey turned back for one last look at Lebius, then at Xilin on Aimou’s shoulder. He took over from Aimou, carrying Xilin, and fled the battlefield at a swifter pace.
As the two fled, Red Dog let out a deep growl. They were deceived by Bologue; just as they intended to pursue, stone walls rose from the ground, blocking both their paths.
Bologue and Lebius prepared resolutely, vowing to intercept them here.
Red Dog first attacked in anger, unleashing Power of the Extre Realm, swinging the Immovable Sword like a world-splitting giant sword. Lebius then t the blade, wielding the Bone-breaking Knife, Wolf Spirit gathered onto him, the compounded power clashing with the Extre Realm.
Resounding ripples spread, ghostly figures descended by Lebius’s side, a gloomy and terrifying atmosphere enveloped Lebius, sending chills down one’s spine. Lebius seed to see the last mont of his life, Death God raising the Great Scythe, slashing toward his throat.
