Bologue murmured, "I knew it would turn out this way."
"What do you an?" Aimou asked softly.
"From a serious movie marathon to a casual and chaotic gathering."
"Isn’t it a gathering in the first place?"
As soon as Aimou finished speaking, Serey suddenly stood up, looked around, and said, "Everyone, aren’t you being a bit too reserved?"
Bode shook the wine bottle forcefully, accompanied by a popping sound, foam splattered everywhere, and at the sa ti, the image on the screen gradually beca clearer, with music rising.
Not all the audience were movie enthusiasts, so Bologue and Palr chose a less intense movie, a family-friendly film, but finishing an entire series during a movie marathon was no small challenge for others.
Initially, everyone laughed endlessly, but gradually, the sound died down.
Hart, having eaten and drunk his fill, couldn’t help but feel drowsy and unknowingly fell asleep on the table, while Balder remained upright, only with a faint snore erging from beneath his heavy protective clothing.
Needless to say about the others, they were all in a semi-conscious state, only Bologue and a few others remained alert, continuing to watch.
During the movie, Aimou couldn’t fully imrse herself in the story; her thoughts uncontrollably drifted to other matters, regarding Bologue.
During the process of awakening Bologue, Aimou learned why Bologue resisted her delving into the depths of his heart, because he was always haunted by Adelle’s death, even though he had killed those enemies, the scar etched in his heart still radiated pain.
Aimou felt at a loss, a deep and complex emotion surged in her heart, as if a door to the unknown had been opened inside her, yet she was uncertain whether it would bring happiness or disappointnt.
Recalling the visions she had seen in the Confession Song, it triggered Aimou’s deepest fear—the hatred from Bologue.
Self-doubt grew within Aimou, she was unsure if she had the right to pursue Bologue, and this feeling caused her considerable unease lately, constantly thinking, speculating, hesitating, and sotis being plagued by gains and losses.
At the sa ti, Aimou understood many things regarding that part of Bologue.
Aimou believed Bologue had feelings for her and also knew that Adelle’s impact on Bologue was profound, almost reshaping his mind.
Adelle was a perfect person, Aimou saw through Bologue’s mories and understood Bologue’s contradictions.
Bologue’s heart was filled with a conflict between the unwillingness to let go of Adelle and his feelings for Aimou. Bologue was healed by Adelle’s warmth, yet also trapped by it.
Aimou thought Bologue was a righteous person; he believed he couldn’t think about Adelle while accepting Aimou’s affection, hence his constant contradictions. He needed to solve his own issues before he could accept others, otherwise, it would be unfair to himself and anyone else, including Adelle.
Thinking of these things, Aimou felt a sweet agony; the more Bologue felt bewildered and doubtful, the more it proved his goodwill was pure, making it harder for Aimou to escape, uncontrollably drawn into a spiral of a cycle.
The movie ended, and for Aimou, the extrely long ti seed incredibly short, everyone didn’t quite recover at once, waking up those who had fallen into a deep sleep, and the room beca lively.
Bologue blinked his dry eyes and asked Aimou, "How was the movie?"
"Not bad," Aimou said, "but I thought you’d invite to the cinema, just the two of us."
Aimou understood Bologue’s conflict, but she had enough of waiting, Aimou wasn’t inclined to let ti resolve issues, so she didn’t let any opportunity to advance slip by.
"Sorry, I’ll make it up next ti," Bologue said.
After a pause, Bologue added, "Interesting, Aimou."
"What do you an?"
Bologue said, "You said ’I’m here to save you,’ I heard it during the battle."
Aimou seed a bit surprised, "What’s wrong?"
"Since becoming the Undead, it’s the first ti anyone has said that to ."
Bologue gave a aningful smile, "Thank you, Aimou."
"You’re welco."
