The crimson flesh covered every corner of the cave like decaying fibrous fungi, growing and stretching as if with its own consciousness. Entangled together, it seed like the whole cave had turned into the intestines of so flesh monster, slowly writhing with each breath.
Mammon stepped forward, his foot landing on the fleshy ground, the sensation unpleasant, like stepping on muddy land, easily losing balance.
Losing balance here is not a good thing. Around him, amidst the fibrous flesh, one can vaguely see bizarre shapes that seem to mix human and animal traits. These pieces of flesh emit a piercing odor, unbearable to anyone who encounters it. These are the remains of people or animals who have stumbled here.
Moving ahead, the scarlet Blood Lake appears in sight, dirtier and uglier than other parts of the cave. Blood floods in from all directions.
A thin mist rises from the surface of the lake, spreading a pungent stench.
Mammon could hear the sound of so creatures gnawing on flesh, getting clearer as he draws closer. Standing by the edge of the Blood Lake, he can see ghostly shadows swimming in the blood, their bodies covered in blood, eyes gleaming with terrifying light.
Suddenly, the Blood Lake boils, those strange creatures constantly attacking each other, the roar and sound of flesh tearing echoing like a hellish carnival.
In this feast of flesh, nurous pallid limbs surge up from the lake bottom, human and animal corpses, their limbs twisted, skin wrinkled, though their bodies have corroded, they still seem to possess enduring life force, these corpses constantly quivering, whispering strange murmurs.
Amidst the corpses, filled with the scent of blood, human flesh has mixed together, forming a lewd sight, then amidst the monsters’ battles, continuing to shatter and recombine.
Mammon has never liked his blood relative’s tastes, but must admit, she indeed created a truly terrifying blood prison in the human world.
As if sensing Mammon’s arrival, the boiling of the Blood Lake stops, the fluid surface takes on an eerie silken texture, only to reveal a protrusion that forms a blurred human shape. The tension of the silk-like surface holds it until it reaches its limit and breaks with a wail, revealing a lovely form.
Mammon bows in respect to her, "It’s been a long ti, my blood relative."
A charming laughter echoes, her polished feet stepping on the bloody water as she walks toward Mammon. Blood gradually slips away from her body, revealing pallid skin, then wrapping around her like cloth, forming a tight-fitting garnt.
The hem of the blood-dress falls, imrsed in the blood water, accompanying her advance, the hem moves like a school of fish, stirring ripples.
She knows well Mammon’s intention, "I presu you’re here seeking a place, aren’t you?"
"Xilin destroyed my wandering paths, the Order Bureau has turned hostile against ... I suppose I indeed have nowhere to go," Mammon smiles.
The woman scrutinizes Mammon, "What can you offer ?"
"A lot, goods and resources from the Gray Trade Association, Silent Legion’s campaigns, and even so secret intel, which depends mainly on what you need?" Mammon says.
"What do you want to achieve?" the woman asks further.
"I don’t have any specific goal; if I must have sothing, I hope to maintain the current balanced standoff, I don’t want anyone to absolutely prevail, like Leviathan."
Mammon becos serious, "I have a hunch, Leviathan is plotting sothing, just like what I told you, this could very well be a reenactnt of the New World."
"New World..."
Upon hearing the term, the woman’s expression turns angry, but amidst anger, she also feels a strong desire.
"Rather than calling it New World, it’s more of a gamble to beco King of Demons," the woman murmurs.
"None of us can resist such temptation, can we?"
As Mammon speaks, he observes the woman’s reaction, "But what we can’t endure more is others’ victory. The jealousy and fear toward others force us to unite... just like during the Fall of the Holy City."
"Can you be sure Leviathan is attempting to reenact the New World?" the woman queries.
Mammon pauses for a mont, then begins to arrange the tiline of events for the woman, gradually clearing up the mystery.
"I am sure."
Mammon affirms, then starts revealing secrets he has never told anyone.
"Unlike the rest of you, I have always been extrely wary of Leviathan, he’s too enigmatic, his intentions indecipherable. Long before the Fall of the Holy City, around twenty years ago, I noticed Leviathan and King Solomon seed to be scheming sothing."
The woman’s expression subtly changes, she never knew this secret, "Then what?"
"They seem to be conducting so sort of ritual, a ritual even I couldn’t understand," Mammon laughed maniacally, "But it doesn’t need to be understood, just disrupt it."
"I disrupted the ritual, whatever their purpose was, Leviathan failed, and afterward, he didn’t seek revenge on ... such matters have occurred countless tis between us.
