"Did you notice?"

Yidir hurriedly burst into the room, looking anxious. Hamr sat inside, opening his eyes. Unlike Yidir, his gaze remained calm, though one could still faintly see a tension similar to Yidir’s.

"The lady’s presence."

Hamr slowly spoke. As a follower of the Crimson Queen, sensing her arrival was not a difficult task. Usually, these fanatics would be exuberant, but now no one could smile.

She should not have arrived at this ti, not to ntion that after her arrival, they lost contact with Tino’s group, as if an invisible monster in this small town swallowed Tino and his people whole without a sound.

Along with that lady, as well.

"Order Bureau?"

"Order Bureau!"

Yidir and Hamr spoke in unison. They initially thought the Order Bureau had not noticed this remote, obscure little town, but clearly, reality was entirely contrary to their imagination.

The power of the Order Bureau had already reached here and hidden away, and they had not discovered it the entire ti.

"What should we do?"

Yidir was sowhat panicked. He was a cowardly, life-loving man. When faced with life-threatening situations like this, he would lose his mind in panic, eager to leave this town imdiately.

So would call Yidir a coward, but Yidir did not care about such criticism. Sotis, only cowards survive; those brave ones are long buried underground.

Yidir did not care about reputation; he only cared about himself.

"Hamr, we have to leave!" Yidir urged. "With just us, we can’t fight against the Order Bureau!"

"Calm down, Yidir."

Hamr remained calm, stood up, and approached Yidir. "You’d better be quiet."

As he spoke, disgust surged in Hamr’s eyes. "If it weren’t for your ability, I would have wanted to offer you to that lady long ago."

Faced with Hamr’s threat, Yidir took deep breaths repeatedly, reluctantly nodding. "Alright, you’re the boss. How do you want to proceed?"

"When can the ritual begin?" Hamr asked Yidir.

"The reagent is already prepared. As soon as we select an unlucky soul, we can unleash the plague of flesh."

When talking about his expertise, Yidir’s eyes were unexpectedly reliable, absent of cowardice. "But now the Order Bureau has noticed us here. You know its restrictions—it requires ti to evolve into an Extraordinary Disaster. If discovered prematurely, it won’t stir even a ripple."

Yidir continued to ask, "Should we release it? At this mont?"

Hamr fell silent; it was a difficult choice. At this mont, Yidir continued, "I disagreed with this plan from the start."

Yidir accused, "This place is too close to the Order Bureau, and we have too few people. It’s like reaching for the stars to liberate the Beast of the Herd with such limited resources!"

Seeing Hamr remain silent, Yidir’s voice beca hoarse as he whispered into Hamr’s ear. "I know what you’re thinking, Bishop Hamr."

Yidir deliberately emphasized the word "Bishop." "Your position in the Sect is precarious; you long to win it all back, regain control, and capture that lady’s attention. But be mindful, be careful not to be devoured by the flas of desire."

Hamr looked at Yidir incredulously, and suddenly opened his mouth, laughing silently.

"What are you talking about? Yidir, be wary of desire—are you joking?"

Hamr grabbed Yidir by the throat, lifting him forcefully. The intense suffocation made Yidir dizzy.

"Desire? We are slaves to desire, and you are telling to be wary of it—are you kidding?"

Hamr’s malice towards Yidir deepened. From the start, he disliked this guy; what he held sacred ant nothing to Yidir.

As the two stood at loggerheads, faint footsteps sounded from outside the door. Hamr decisively threw Yidir aside, letting him crash into a table, and then raised his hand. Driven by Ether, Secret Energy twisted Hamr’s body.

Only to see his entire arm swell rapidly, muscle tissue tearing through the skin to reveal bloody flesh, sharp bone claws stretching and extending. For a mont, it was as if Divine Power had transplanted the beast’s arm onto Hamr’s body.

"Who?"

Hamr asked coldly, his spirit highly tense. He could roughly guess who had co—it was the invisible beast that swallowed Tino. It was far more terrifying than he imagined, to find them here in such a short ti.

An entire action team?

Hamr guessed. If it were an entire action team, then relying only on their people, there was clearly no chance of winning. Yet, he felt this likelihood was not large. The Order Bureau was entirely focused on the rise of the Night Race. According to intelligence, they were short on manpower. How could they employ the strength of an entire action team in such a place?

Many guesses flitted through his mind. The next mont, amid a creaking sound, the door was gently opened, revealing filthy darkness.

"Good evening, everyone from the sect of the Crimson Corruption."

A graceful voice sounded. Behind the door was not a fully ard action team, but rely a man dressed in pitch black, almost rging with the darkness. Thus, the Ruby brooch on his chest appeared unexpectedly striking.
