"No one is special, everyone is replaceable..."
Palr gradually realized that this was a struggle between Ewen and Asmodeus. Ewen felt he was special, capable of withstanding Asmodeus’ test, whereas Asmodeus believed Ewen had no special qualities and would eventually fall like other collections before him.
The contest between the Devil and a mortal.
"Ewen, I’ve seen too many people like you," Asmodeus continued her assault on Ewen’s soul, "they all, without exception, eventually lost."
"Since I’m like everyone else, why do you value so much?"
Ewen endured the pain, "As an omnipotent Devil, why waste your ti on ?"
"Indeed, I am not special. Only the situation I am in is special."
Amidst the blood, Ewen faintly saw Belphegor’s figure, silently watching him.
Ewen knew it well; what was truly special was the ga between devils, wagering their souls, fighting against one another.
"It’s not who needs you," Ewen suddenly laughed, "it’s you who needs , my soul, to win your wager with him."
Ewen seed supported by so force; he turned fiercely within the at grinder, facing Asmodeus, "So, I can raise the price, can’t I?"
Asmodeus paused for a mont, then an uncontrollable smile appeared on her face, imdiately followed by intense trembling, as if hearing a particularly amusing joke.
"Ewen, are you threatening ?"
Threatening a Devil, at a glance, such things were few and far between for Asmodeus.
"Perhaps..."
Ewen’s gaze wandered between Asmodeus and Belphegor, "You don’t want to lose, and neither do I."
Asmodeus suddenly talked about the story of the North Wind and the Sun, "In the story, no matter how the North Wind blows against the traveler, it rely makes him wrap his clothes tighter. Conversely, the warmth of the Sun makes the traveler take off his clothes."
"I understand, you are the North Wind, because you think humans are cowardly, hypocritical, failures. Even if I speak of nobility, with just a little pressure, you believe you can crush ."
Ewen endured the pain, endured the erosion of the North Wind, allowing the blades to slice and pulverize him.
Asmodeus snapped her fingers, and the swirling blades stopped, releasing Ewen from the pain. The grinder seed to have absorbed enough blood, even stopping the slaughter, the speed of Dawn did not slow down in the slightest.

Asmodeus said while clenching her hand, "Should I continue to pressure you?"
An invisible hand grasped Ewen; enormous force squeezed his body, his face turned red, eyes full of blood, veins ruptured, continuous sound of breaking bones emanated from his body, chest grotesquely caved in, internal organs seed crushed into foul blood.
"Ewen, we did spend so joyful tis together, continuing to tornt you only makes feel like a pervert."
Asmodeus said as she released her hand, the imnse force on Ewen disappeared along with it, Ewen knelt on the ground retching, fragnts of flesh piled up around him.
He wiped his mouth, scoffing, "Are you serious?"
"That ti cannot be denied, it was indeed interesting."
Asmodeus smiled at Ewen; for a mont, Ewen thought she turned back into Cinderella, but it was just a fleeting instance of mind manipulation.
"My patience is limited, Ewen," Asmodeus pondered for a mont, then she ca up with an idea, "How about we have a serious talk?"
"What do you want to talk about?"
"Regarding your wish, I’m sincere; in front of you is a Devil who is obedient to you."
Asmodeus gently cradled Ewen’s face, her gaze innocent, as if her previous actions were rely unintentional misconduct.
"For example... I can make you return to those wonderful tis, how about it? In this beautiful dream, you will enjoy near-eternal warmth, or I can create soone you love? That’s not difficult for a Devil, or perhaps..."
Asmodeus thought aloud, surprised, "I can erase the mories in your mind, all unpleasant mories that affect your will, such as events that happened thirty-three years ago, so you won’t be bothered by anymore.
A lover who never abandons, beautiful monts, eternal power, authority and status... Speak up, Ewen, what do you really want?"
Asmodeus was deeply troubled; even an omnipotent Devil needs others to make wishes to wield her power. If Ewen doesn’t express his wish, Asmodeus doesn’t know what to do.
"Are you unwilling to give up your soul? That’s okay, we can postpone the deal until the mont you die, how about that? After all, when you die, your soul will Fade Away; handing it to then wouldn’t be a problem, right?"
Ewen silently stood up, pushing Asmodeus away, "No, that won’t be necessary."
