The man shouted, "Stand up, Xilin, stand like a man."
Xilin couldn’t feel his body anymore, but he followed the man’s words and stood firmly. Seeing this, the man smiled and continued.
"Don’t close your eyes... I will take your lives, Kagader’s fate, from her hands."
Xilin understood that he was about to die, but under the gentle gaze of his father, his heart beca calm, without a trace of fear.
The sound of blood boiling rose, and in the pool of blood behind the man, a woman was standing on the lake surface, Xilin couldn’t see her face nor knew who she was, but at the mont he noticed her, a primal fear and anger from the depths of his soul shattered Xilin’s calm, almost setting him ablaze.
No one told Xilin the answer, but he just knew it was the woman who caused all this; she was the source of all evil and disaster.
"I want to kill you..." Xilin murmured, then he roared like a lion, "I want to kill you!"
Xilin was overwheld with anger, but no matter how angry he beca, his body remained frozen, trembling uncontrollably with primal fear.
Xilin hated his cowardice, he couldn’t change anything, and besides, he was about to die.
The man swung down the blade and comforted him, "It’s okay, my sword is swift."
The blade sparked with lightning, Xilin did not doubt the man’s blade’s swiftness; from the corpses scattered on the ground, he had seen it, yet he still felt unwilling.
He didn’t want to die, at least not like this.
At that mont, ti seed to slow down, blood droplets hung in mid-air like a string of Rubies, and the deadly blade stopped above Xilin’s head. Its swing was slow, as if it would never co down.
Xilin looked at his father’s face, and in this eerie stasis, he carefully observed his father’s appearance for the first ti, reading a tidal wave of sorrow in those tender eyes.
In the darkness, indistinct words sounded, the sound ancient as though from long-lost tis, conveying a language already forgotten.
Xilin didn’t understand the other’s words, but as with seeing the woman for the first ti, he fully understood the aning beneath the words.
"Alright."
Xilin responded.
The stasis collapsed, everything resud with sudden speed. The man swung the deadly blade at Xilin, but Xilin’s speed was faster.
Evil frenzied power filled Xilin’s young body, and the Secret Sword scattered on the ground spun into his hand, finally unleashing more deadly lightning.
In the clear eyes, it seed as though one could dive straight into the soul, and within that soul, bizarre will had taken root and sprouted.
The man raised his hand, and at that mont, the chipped blade completely broke apart.
A huge, eerie shadow passed through the bloody cave.
"No... No!"
The man scread in despair; he wanted to rescue his offspring’s fate from the Devil’s grasp, but at this mont, his offspring fell into another Devil’s grasp.
Tears mixed with blood flowed from the man’s eyes. He knew he could no longer kill Xilin, overwheld with despair, he hugged him tightly. Xilin seed sowhat bewildered, in his mory, this was the first ti his father embraced him, yet in such dire circumstances.
The man wanted to say sothing to Xilin, but the pressure in his mind grew heavier, consciousness was like being devoured by a swarm of sharks, shattered beyond repair.
"Liberate us..."
The man looked at Xilin, and also seed to be looking past him.
He said nothing more, his eyes filled with sorrow and a touch of compassion.
Xilin, my poor child, you were never ant to endure all this, nor to grasp the Devil’s hand.
The man ultimately shook his head.
Xilin heard a sigh from behind, as if Death God had laid down its Scythe.
A faintly discernible voice sounded.
"I will follow your will."
The farewell ended, the man resolutely raised the Broken Sword, stabbing it into his own chest, releasing a large amount of Ether from his body, the raging flow of Ether repeatedly slicing at his body like a blade, rampaging within the Alchemy Matrix, until its splendid glow beca dim and eventually dispersed.
Xilin seed to hear the sound of soul shattering.
With forceful wrists, the man tried to twist the sword hilt, completely destroying his heart, but suddenly he lacked strength, soon after he kneeled on the ground, head hanging low, as if dead.
A few seconds later, the man raised his head again, that tender gaze vanished, Xilin knew that his father was already dead.
"Xilin."
The man smiled at Xilin, feigning affection, he wanted to grab Xilin, but suddenly a powerful arm reached over from behind Xilin, holding him tightly, and then retreated from the flesh-covered area.
The man beca agitated and shouted, "Second Seat! What are you doing!"
The Second Seat held Xilin around the waist, saying nothing but grinning at him, yet beneath that grin lay a cold intent to kill.
"Second Seat," the man panted painfully, "I order you, I order you to bring Xilin to ."
The Second Seat shook his head, "Sorry, Your Majesty, I swore allegiance to another Majesty."
The man’s expression froze, then the Second Seat took the Secret Sword from Xilin’s hand, this ti Xilin saw the Blade awakening.
Brilliant golden patterns extended along the Blade’s surface, so flas ignited, then transford into a roaring fire boiling endlessly.
