Just as Bologue was about to advance further, the shadows scattered, the twisted black jungle surged back into the breach in the walls, Bologue’s power grasping at nothing.
Bologue took a deep breath, staying highly alert. Under his watchful eye, the cracked walls healed back together, all the upheaved bricks returning to calm, and the massive stone sealing the combat room moving back to its original position.
As if nothing had happened.
Bologue once again commanded the ground, attempting to dig through the solid rock, to once more glimpse the darkness and the woman’s voice. But after Bologue dug three ters, no matter how much he commanded, endless bricks filled in, seemingly inexhaustible, Bologue was unable to break through this limit.
"Did you trigger the alarm?"
A familiar voice rang out, Bologue turned his head, Mamo stood at the entrance of the combat room, looking down upon Bologue from above.
Bologue nodded, Mamo sighed deeply, "I was only gone for a few minutes."
"I’ve ascended to a Negative Power User and tried out new Secret Energy," Bologue glanced at the perpetually healing ground, "It seems the Cultivation Room holds grudges, it still rembers the power of Overlord Xilin."
