It was the first ti Adam and Alexia had traveled to the Primal Lands, and they imdiately found themselves in a rather dangerous place.
It was their choice, and they faced many trials, guided by the Ancient Voice.
Now, they had reached the end, and the Frost Oasis was not much different from what they had expected, except for the dragon head and azure tree, which they could not have known about.
But neither Adam nor Alexia suspected that it was not just an oasis, or a shining pond, but sothing much darker and closer to death.
"What?" Adam turned around and found the blue fairy in the distance. "Now you've decided to show up?!"
[It is the will of the owner of this place. As long as it functions, all rules must be observed and obeyed. What happened to you before was also the will of the owner.]
Alexia frowned.
"So this owner breaks the rules whenever he wants and gets away with it?!"
The blue fairy just hovered above the ground, silently.
"Answer , damn it!" Alexia stamped her foot, wanting to intimidate the Ancient Voice.

Alexia was furious, but Adam's face showed no emotion. He understood this the mont the rules were hidden and changed for the first ti.

They didn't have ti for that because they had another problem:

"Agh? Against whom?" She waved her hand, pointing to the side. "Do you think I should fight a tree? What kind of stupid rules are these? What enemies do we have to defeat?!"
She had many questions, as did Adam, but soon they would get answers to each one.

The azure tree's energy beca significantly more powerful as a crackling sound ca from the ground, drawing their attention.
More than a dozen paws dug their way to the surface as red heads with elongated jaws full of curved fangs appeared.
Alexia gasped in shock as she watched the monsters crawl out of the ground.
"They were here from the beginning? But why were they underground? What kind of stupid trap is this?!"
"No, they weren't waiting for us, it's not a trap. Fuck! Look at them! They've been dead for a long ti!"
Alexia's eyes widened as she looked closer at the monsters. Their flesh was dark green around the edges, as if rotten, and in so places, bare bones and ribs were visible.
These monsters were nothing more than zombies that had been summoned to battle even after their death.
"You understand that, don't you?" Silvana's voice echoed in Adam's head while his gaze was fixed on the azure tree.
"Yeah." He nodded. "This tree not only absorbs energy from the dead and blood, but it can also revive those who haven't been completely consud yet. Holy shit, considering how many bones and corpses there are here, this isn't a cave, it's a real cetery!"
From a distance, there was no threat to Adam and Alexia.

At the sa mont, a stream of runes like a moving wall pushed them forward, causing them to fall off the cliff.
Adam and Alexia resisted, but they had no chance against this force. As long as they were in enemy territory and sothing controlled the Ancient Voice, they were at a disadvantage.

They both collapsed to the ground as the Frost Oasis and dragon head protected by a barrier were to their right, and the azure tree that was summoning more and more new monsters with each passing mont was to their left.
Now, more than thirty different monsters were staring at them, and this was only the beginning.
"Hey, according to the rules, we have to kill every monster to survive, right?" Alexia brushed her mouth.
Adam nodded.
"So, maybe we should just destroy this stupid tree?!"
Without hesitation, Alexia rushed forward as the white mist swept past her.
The red beasts leaped at her like hellhounds, but they were not her target. She did not see them as enemies.
Her eyes reflected the great sword as, in the next mont, a giant ice sword appeared in her grasp.

The ice blade, by its sheer force, smashed the red beasts to pieces, the impact throwing them aside with broken paws and jaws.
But...
"GRH!"
Even with their crippled bodies, they rose from the ground. So whose paws were intact managed to do so, while others crawled along the ground and clicked their jaws.
Alexia's eyes widened as the realization hit her.
'They're already dead, so wounding them isn't enough to get rid of them. I have to destroy their bodies!'

Adam understood this as well, and he rushed past Alexia as her eyes reflected a multitude of white threads.
In the next mont, Adam's hands crossed as the white treads like a whirlwind of blades turned the red beasts into a stream of blood and flesh shreds.
Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.
The azure tree tried to restore them, but it was unsuccessful. The twitching paws and heads posed no threat to the two Phantoms.
"Go! Alexia! Destroy that tree! It's our way to the oasis through the barrier!" Adam exclaid.
Alexia nodded deeply as she raised her ice swords high before bringing them down with all her strength on the azure tree.
Stomp!
Two large monsters, reborn after the red beasts, stood in front of the azure tree. They raised their arms to stop the ice sword, but the blade just swept through their hands.
Another mont, and Alexia would destroy the azure tree, which was the last barrier to the Frost Oasis!
Crack.
Suddenly, a shadow erged from the ground, quite small compared to the monsters, and stood firmly on the ground with both feet.
Its human form was reflected in Alexia's eyes as the unknown enemy raised his arms above his head.
The giant ice blade was clamped between the man's palms.
A shiver ran through the ground as cold ran down Alexia's back.
"S-Shit."
Adam gulped as he realized one important thing:
In addition to the dead beasts, the Awakened Monsters and the Phantoms had also died here.
Now they were all their enemies.
