Bam! Bam! Bam!
A hail of blows from seven monsters rained down on a single human, but it didn't seem like this human was in a difficult situation.
Goen moved so fast that Adam and Alexia, watching the battle, could barely see even a fraction of his movents.
At the sa ti, it was easy for them to see the attacks of everyone from the fifth team, except for the Old Horn.
"This monster, he doesn't look like the others," Adam thought, looking at the Old Horn. "If these seven are directly subordinate to the Befallen Crown, then he's so rcenary, right? Shit, so all this ti here, in the Primal Lands, there was soone like him?'
Only the Old Horn could fight Goen on equal terms, although that was an exaggeration.
After all, Goen was still using only his fists and energy, while the Old Horn imdiately summoned his Arc.
"Co on, kids! Start using your true power!" The Old Horn exclaid with excitent. "Can't you see that he doesn't even consider you worthy of seeing his weapon? If I were you, I wouldn't put up with such humiliation!"
Whoooooosh.
The Old Horn grabbed his axe with both hands before bringing it down on Goen with all his might.
In a heartbeat, Goen twisted his torso as the axe flew right past his chest. The blade split the lake in two, leaving a wide line of ice in the center.
At the sa mont, intense heat appeared from above, causing Goen to turn around. For so reason, it was this attack that caught his attention.
The hamr man directed his energy into his weapon, causing it to burst into a crimson fla, hot enough to lt snow even here, in the Primal Lands.
"You won't be able to dodge this strike!" The hamr man exclaid as steam began to rise from the water in the lake.
Sothing strange happened to Goen. His eyes darted from side to side, as if he were looking for a way to escape.
"Is he afraid?" Adam thought. He couldn't believe that this was really happening. "Is this attack really that dangerous? Is Goen vulnerable to fire?"
In fact, everyone had similar thoughts. Everyone saw that Goen's expression had changed dramatically, but no one knew the real reason why.
Whoooooooosh.
A mont before the strike, Goen disappeared as he appeared right in front of the hamr man. He grabbed the heavy man by the throat like a puppet before throwing him forward, toward the waterfall.
"You... What are you...!"
The hamr man tried to grab the edge mid-flight, but Goen was already in front of him.
With a cold stare, he kicked the man right in the jaw, knocking him off the waterfall.
What's more, Goen followed the man straight to the river below.
The others looked at each other. They were puzzled, but what choice did they have but to follow their mate? They couldn't let Goen kill them one by one. That would be a big mistake.
"Go! We have to help him!" Liliane exclaid as she headed forward first.
Everyone followed Liliane, and even Adam and Alexia moved closer to the edge, the protective fu moving behind them. They wanted to see what was happening.
But... sothing was wrong.
"Agh?"
Adam turned around as he stared at the young man who, despite what was happening, had not moved from his spot.
"What's wrong with you? Why are you ignoring the fight and not helping them?"
"Hmm?" The young man opened his amber eyes slightly. "Shouldn't that be good news for you? One of your enemies is inactive. I would be happy about that."
Adam frowned.
"No, it's not good news at all, far from it. You're waiting for sothing, aren't you?"
The corners of the young man's lips turned upward.
"Maybe, maybe not. This hunter is strong, but sooner or later, he will make a mistake. It's bound to happen."
The young man said nothing more. For the ti being, he beca a third observer.
"Let go!" The hamr man exclaid, jumping back.
His neck was bruised, and blood was flowing from his chin. All this happened in just two attacks, but he was ready to fight on.
The atmosphere beca tense, until...
"Hahahahahahahaha!" The Old Horn laughed so hard that he slapped his knee. "Sorry, I just can't help myself! Hahahahaha!"
Liliane narrowed her eyes.
"What's so funny?"
The Old Horn waved his hand.
"It's not about you. I an, you all noticed that this hunter started to get nervous before the last attack, right? Hahaha, I'm sure many of you thought he was afraid of getting hit by that attack, but in fact, the reason for his panic was sothing else!"
"Hmm?"
Liliane was caught off guard.
"What do you an? I would definitely fear for my life if I were threatened by such a powerful fla attack!"
The Old Horn scratched the back of his head.
"Yeah, maybe you would, but not him. The only thing that bothered him was the fla, specifically what would happen to the snow and the lake."
The realization struck their team.
"He just didn't want the fire attack to evaporate all the water in the lake, which would destroy his ho." The Old Horn turned to Goen. "Am I understanding this correctly?"
Goen nodded.
"Yeah. I spent a lot of energy and ti finding this place. I don't want it all to be destroyed because of so kids who think they have real power."
For Liliane, that was the last straw.
"Now!" She pointed her rapier at Goen. "We'll end this fight right now!"
Everyone understood her order.
The blue-haired girl was the first to act. Her shots did not affect Goen, but like any Lord, she had a trump card.
Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.
Her aura grew as a blue circle with several stars soaring before her.
Adam had seen such abilities before. They were used by the Lords who fought against Saegar at the Dark Shore.
The blue-haired girl chose one of the stars as she exclaid:
"Azure Hail!"
The hamr man and axe man used their abilities as well. As soon as the three of them chose stars from their circles, fields of different colors erged from them: blue, yellow, and red, differing in their elents.
Goen blinked as he saw myriads of azure dots high in the sky. Flas were gathering on the left, and lightning was moving on the right.
'Have they finally decided to show what they are capable of? Good. It will be useful to know what the current Lords are capable of.'
