Instead of figuring out where he was and finding a way to get ho, Adam ran into a local watcher who spotted him imdiately.
He hadn’t realized that was a possibility, so he didn’t have ti to react.
The gray monster stared at him for a mont longer before blinking and flying away, just as quickly and smoothly as it had arrived.
"What the hell was that?" Adam muttered, looking around.
This place didn’t look like a military base or a fortified stronghold, on the contrary, it was the exact opposite.
Thus, Adam didn’t understand what the monster’s purpose was or what he should expect next.
"Maybe I should go back there?" Adam glanced at the cave ring. There, he had felt just as lost as he did here, but at least he had been safe.
Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.
Before he could make a decision, a tremor ran through the ground. Slowly, a bull-like monster was approaching him from the side, with two long, curved horns and thick, black hide. The gray sand beneath its powerful hooves crunched with every step.
A distinctive feature was the bone mask covering the bull’s head. It wasn’t just a mask, but part of its head, serving as a natural protective helt. Hot steam escaped through its nostrils with every breath the bull took, and through the holes, its green, bright eyes were visible, glowing like ghostly lanterns.
Adam raised an eyebrow, looking at the monster with curiosity.
’Hmm? Did that amber eye already report on ? No... It all happened too quickly. Most likely, this bull spotted the very mont I got out, just like that flying eye. It was simply waiting for the amber eye to fly away.’
Even now, Adam had the chance to avoid a fight. He was sure it wouldn’t be hard for him to escape from this bull, but that wasn’t his final decision.

Adam stepped back, assuming a fighting stance.
"Alright, co at , little guy. Show what you’re capable of."
’Its aura is on par with Black Threat Level monsters, but... I wouldn’t say it’s at the Elder rank. So... I can take it down with just a couple of punches, right?’
If Adam had been anywhere else, he wouldn’t have had any doubts about it. He would have made his decision based solely on his opponent’s aura and appearance, and he would have been right.
But the bull’s bone mask made him wary, as did the whole place.

The bull snorted before stamping its hoof on the ground and charging at Adam.
Adam expected a simple, quick charge like from any monster of this type, but sothing made his eyes widen.
A layer of pale, green energy followed the bull, covering its entire massive body in rapidly moving streams.
’Oh, so it uses not only physical power but also its energy for such a simple move? I see that already makes this bull significantly more dangerous than most black threat monsters.’

The bull was right in front of Adam, its horns aid at his neck.
’However, even if I had been here right after evolving to the K4-Level, I wouldn’t have run away from an opponent like this!’

Adam stepped forward as two long horns swept past his neck.
The next mont, he spun around sharply as his fist slamd straight into the bull’s bone mask with a thunderous crash.
The shockwave rippled through the bull’s body as gusts of wind surged outward from the force of the blow.
Crack!
The first crack appeared on the bone mask as the impact sent the bull flying backward. Its hooves dug deep into the ground, leaving two lines on the gray sand.
"Gpphh!" The bull huffed, glaring at Adam. It clearly hadn’t expected any human to be able to block its charge.
Thump!
The bull stamped its hooves on the ground, preparing for the next attack. Adam did the sa, and a slight smirk appeared on his face.
Now, as he fought an opponent he understood and could defeat, he felt better.
He knew what he was doing. It distracted him from thoughts of the unknown lands surrounding him and the strange monsters.
All he had to do was win to move on. He couldn’t ask for anything more.
"Co on, attack!" Adam exclaid with excitent, channeling his energy into his fists.
The bull was ready to answer his call, but... sothing made it freeze in place. The bull’s eyes widened. Its fear was evident even through the bone mask.
The once aggressive and confident monster now trembled as its instincts told it to run as far away from here as possible.
If the bull hadn’t listened to its instincts, it would have been dead long ago. Thus, the bull turned and ran away without looking back, leaving Adam alone in the endless gray desert, or... was he no longer alone?
Realizing what was happening here, Adam spun around only to see two gray eyes staring intently at him.
Unlike the strange creature at the beginning, whether the serpent or the bull, now he saw an adversary far more familiar to him.
A particularly tall man, three or even four ters in height, hovered in the air, Adam.
His long, white hair reached down to his ankles. His build was lean, and only a pale-blue cloak covered his fra, leaving his bare chest visible.
There was neither curiosity nor a desire to fight in his gaze, unlike the bull’s. The mont he saw Adam, he had already made up his mind.
"Phantom? Here? With your level of power...?" The tall man asked several questions, not expecting answers from Adam himself. "It must have been a mistake. Still, you shouldn’t be here."

The space around the tall man trembled as he raised his hand.
A white spear, larger than the man himself, appeared in his grasp. Its tip began to spin as the tall man’s eyes narrowed.
"Let’s see... One shot should be enough."
