Nothing remained of the amber flow since the Red Scavengers had devoured every last bit of it. But they no longer needed a guide. They knew where to go, straight to the sword wall.

Step. Step. Step.

They moved forward slowly, preparing for the final battle and remaining on guard. It was unknown whether any other monsters would attack them as the Red Scavengers had done.

Vyora was quieter than usual. She couldn't forget Adam's dark aura and the fact that he possessed Dark Energy.

'Shit! Shit! Shit!' she cursed inwardly. 'How is this possible? He's definitely not at the K4-Level limit! FUCK! Where did he get the Dark Energy? Why, out of all the Phantoms, did it have to be him?'

Sure, Loargh and Vyora knew far more about Adam than Sarka or the other monsters, but they had very little information about what had happened in the jungles of the Primal Lands. After all, this was the Flaming Eye Clan's territory, where Keranda and Zargos were in charge. These brother and sister had made sure that others knew as little as possible about Adam.

"Hey, Loargh, you know a lot about the Pit, don't you?" Adam asked casually.

Loargh nodded. "Sure. I've visited that place many tis, and even more often I've watched others fight from the sidelines. I spent a lot of ti preparing for my first visit here."

"Hah, that's exactly why you survived and got the Hollow Mark."

"Who knows? Maybe I would've pulled it off on the first try?" He smiled bitterly.

"So…"

Adam looked around.

"Where did all this stuff co from? It's not even slums like those at the border of the Tarnished Lands. It feels like everything here has been gathered from all over the world. As if sothing is teleporting them here in a chaotic order."

"Well, that's not far from the truth. There are practically no spatial anomalies here, for now."

"Hmm?" Adam tilted his head, confused.

Loargh waved his hand. "It's all because of the World Wipe. I don't know why, but sothing in the star energy coming from the First Star and Last Star, and the Frenzied Shards, causes a huge number of spatial anomalies to appear here.

"Basically, for the first few years after the World Wipe, the Pit is a veritable hell of thousands of spatial anomalies. Over ti, they beco fewer and fewer until, after a few years, they all disappear. Only those that were here from the start remain, for natural reasons."

Adam looked down with a pensive expression.

'Again, there's sothing strange about the Frenzied Shards. A wave of energy spreads across the entire world during the World Wipe, but the chaos caused by the spatial anomalies occurs only here, at the Pit.'

As much as Adam wanted to learn more about the Frenzied Shards and the source of their appearance, with every question, he realized how little chance he had. Even Loargh didn't have all the answers, a monster who had lived here for many years and was one of the Fangs.

Step.

A few minutes later, they stopped.

Gusts of wind swept along the sword wall, passing close to their group, barely ruffling the tips of their hair.

The swords fit so tightly together that there wasn't a single gap between them, or so it seed, until they got closer.

"This…" Sarka narrowed her eyes, looking at the narrow passage between two crossed swords. "Is this the only entrance?"

"Looks like it." Loargh nodded. "The Frenzied Shard has gone to great lengths to protect itself. This passage was left open on purpose. There's no doubt about it. This shard… it has faith in its last servant."

Vyora stepped forward confidently as her aura grew stronger.

"It doesn't matter what kind of giant awaits us ahead. This is the last day for both this servant and the shard!"

"Hah," Sarka smirked, joining her. "Now that's what I call fighting spirit. Turns out, sotis you can be a little less annoying than usual."

Vyora frowned. "Tsk. Just shut up and don't get in my way."

Adam was about to follow them, but turned to Loargh, who was strangely silent.

"Is sothing wrong?"

Loargh shook his head. "No. Everything is as it should be. It's rare for the Frenzied Shard to possess such a strong will, but our level of power is definitely higher. Let's go, finish this fight, and then decide which of us is worthy of possessing the treasure. We'll do everything by the rules."

"Glad to hear it."

Tap. Tap. Tap.

The four of them cautiously made their way through the narrow passage between two swords. The edges were damaged, shattered into rough shards, but still sharp. Sarka and Vyora crouched down, afraid of cutting themselves, while Adam and Loargh moved in slow steps.

It was unclear what they expected to see on the other side. They imagined either a spacious arena or, conversely, a mountain of trash and random objects, like in other parts of the Pit. They all agreed that nothing beautiful was to be expected from this place.

But the Frenzied Shard managed to astonish them once again.

"What the hell…?" Vyora's eyes widened in disbelief.

Sarka was speechless, and even Loargh couldn't hide his shock.

In Adam's eyes, he saw neither trash nor barren land, but a field full of tall, dry grass resembling wheat stalks. Among the pale gold field, sparse black flowers could be seen, which seed too fragile for the wind and needed the protection of the swords and the grass.

In the distance, a stone hovered above the ground, surrounded by a transparent protective bubble and trembling pebbles frozen in midair. A powerful amber energy emanated from the stone, a frenzied fla bestowing great power upon anyone who managed to touch it and survive.

'Is this the Frenzied Shard?' Adam thought as his gaze drifted downward.

All four of them looked at the sa spot at the sa ti.

In the very center of the field, a knight clad in black armor stood on one knee. The armor consisted of multiple layers of sharp plates forming jagged edges. A faint amber light emanated from the six slits in his helt.

His black cape was long enough to form a crescent on the ground around him. The tips of the cape stopped right in front of the great sword, which plunged into the ground.

The dark knight gripped the hilt of his sword, which could blend into the starless night, absorbing all light. It's heavy, ancient tal reflected all the battles this sword had fought alongside its owner.

Adam's fingertips twitched as his heart began to beat faster.

'So it's you, the third servant?'
