It didn't matter whether the powerful monsters believed in Adam or not. Everything depended solely on him and his opponent.

The fight didn't start the way Zin wanted it to, but he could work with it.

After all, as long as he could access the blood of Queen Elisa flowing within Adam's inner space and hear its flow, he would achieve his goal.

To do that, he needed to wound Adam severely. He couldn't kill him anyway. Leerna, as the judge, would simply stop him.

"This…" Es'aha gasped as Zin's eyes flashed brightly before the strike.

She smiled, placing her hand on her chest.

"That's good. If he's decided to resort to such attacks, their fight will be over before the first five minutes are up."

Before Zin could launch his attack, Es'aha raised her arm as nine white cubes floated above her.

"I, Es'aha, am betting nine land cubes on Zin's victory!"

Tip.

The assistant nodded silently and wrote her na on the stone board.

Usually, in a situation like this, a wild surge of bets would start from all sides, but… at that mont, all the sound was concentrated in one place.

Clap!

Zin's deafening clap made the entire arena freeze as a transparent sound wave headed toward Adam.

'Wait, doesn't this look like…?' Adam's eyes widened as he stared at the trembling space.

Zin's clap and that sound wave reminded Adam of his imaginary cut. The effect wasn't the sa, but the similarities were definitely there.

'No, I shouldn't be thinking about that right now.' Adam shook his head inwardly, coming to his senses after missing two hits.

His eyelids grew heavy, his eyes drowsy as he turned to his ally:

'Can you cut through this?'

'Hah, don't underestimate !'

The confident voice rang out from within him.

'From the very beginning, even before I existed, your greatest strength was that you could cut through anything! You could do it two years ago, you can handle it now!'

Adam nodded slightly as his black needle appeared in his hand.

'Great.'

Whooooooosh!

In a swift swing, his black needle collided with the sound blade, causing the space to tremble.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

A cascade of sparks flew from his blade, flashing before his focused blue eyes. A slight shiver ran through his entire body, but the Silver Weaver was right.

Adam could cut through anything, and the sound was no exception.

SLASH!

With the next swing, Adam shattered the sound blade into countless waves, still full of energy, but no longer possessing a dangerous shape.

Soon, his feet touched the ground as he aid his needle at Zin.

"You know, even though you're not a Fang, you have a Hollow Mark just like every other powerful monster here, don't you?"

Zin began to walk slowly around the arena, along the wall.

"Let's say that's true. Why?"

"I want to know where your tattoo is."

Zin stopped, placing his hand on the wall.

"Hmm? What does it matter? Regardless of its location, it still holds power."

Adam's grip tightened.

"That's… That's a lie, isn't it?"

Zin didn't answer. He just looked down and closed his eyes. It seed as though he was ignoring Adam.

But, at that mont, sothing more important was happening in Zin's mind.

He could hear every breath, every whisper among the spectators, every tremor running through the ground from Adam's powerful aura.

"Hey! Answer when soone's talking to you!" Adam shouted with a grimace.

"Agh?"

He blinked as Zin vanished.

Usually, Adam would see his opponent's fra tremble, or at least a blur or so sign of a high-speed dash, but not this ti.

Instinctively, Adam spun around, sensing the looming threat.

Zin's silhouette was reflected in his wide-open eyes. In mid-leap, with eyes as cold as glaciers, his fist slamd into Adam.

BLAST!

It was a direct hit, brimming with the power of sound and Zin's energy. Adam didn't have ti to dodge or block the attack. He couldn't even shift his torso to lessen the force of the incoming blow.

He was completely defenseless against a speed that was more like teleportation.

Crack!

A loud crack rang out as Zin's fist collided with Adam's jaw. His tooth flew out in a gush of blood, and a wave of sheer force ran across his face.

A cloud of dust rose, but sothing caused Zin's cold expression to crack.

"Ah?"

Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.

Adam's legs were shaking, his torso was bent backward from Zin's punch, but he managed to stay on his feet.

The reason was quickly found: his black needle was deeply embedded in the ground, serving as an additional support. Otherwise, the impact would have thrown Adam aside just like at the very beginning.

"Wait…" one of the spectators muttered. "He managed to stay on his feet?"

"That... That's unbelievable!" The girl next to him gasped, covering her mouth with her hand.

They exchanged glances, doubt in their eyes. They didn't know who to bet on. They didn't know who would win, and ti was running out.

Strangely enough, Zin realized his attack had failed at the sa mont as the spectators.

'Shit! I have to get out of here!'

Unfortunately for him, Adam had figured it out first.

Clutch!

With his other hand, Adam grabbed Zin's wrist tightly, with such force that his skin turned white.

"Argh…"

With a groan, Adam lowered his head, looking at Zin. Their eyes t, while trickles of blood flowed from Adam's nose.

"You're not just fast, you're elusive. Though what else would you expect from sound, right?"

Slowly, a satisfied, demon-like smile appeared on his face.

"However, unlike the sound, you can be caught. You didn't take that into account!"

Step!

Adam stepped forward, tilting his head back.

Before Zin could dodge, his forehead slamd straight into Zin's with a crushing crack.

CRACK!

Zin's eyes went blank for a mont as his knees wobbled. For a split second, he lost focus on the fight, and it would cost him dearly.

"Hah, that's better!"

Adam grabbed his needle as the purple fla ran along the black blade before he made a wide swing.

SLASH!

The wide blade cleaved Zin's chest, sending a powerful stream of blood so high that several drops fell onto Leerna's stone throne.

The second round was also his, this ti a physical one.
