Why would they want to speak to about orcs?
"The king, my father, has made an arrangent with an orc leader nad Blood, who I suspect is an otherworlder. He and his n call themselves the Wild Hogs."
The Wild Hogs guild? So they are involved in this...
"Because of this, the orcs have made a ruin of our capital and kingdom. They stomp on our heritage and treat the once proud demon race as if we’re nothing but dirt beneath their feet. Not to ntion they are crude and filthy. I think my people deserve more than that, and the news of one of our gods coming down to save us will surely rekindle their fighting spirits."
The princess fell to her knees once again.
"I don’t like going against my own father like this, but I’m afraid he has made a mistake that will cost us dearly. I implore you to help us rid our realm of the barbaric orcs, and together we can finish the war and spread the greatness of our empire."
This was far from what I expected. This is what I get for larping. But on the other hand, this could very well lead to another scenario.
I had this strange feeling as if the story was progressing, and if that was the case, then I’m right that this might lead to a scenario.
Even at t the university and also on the forum, they actually encourage us to fall into the roles assigned by the ga.
In a way it was a bit like acting or role playing, but maybe this was how you progress through the story.
The guy nad Blood was most likely a player playing the role of a barbaric leader of a tribe of orcs.
And confronting him by pretending to be a demonic god may trigger a scenario.
Still I wasn’t certain of this hypothesis. It was honestly an ass pull, but so far I haven’t gained any other clues that could lead to a scenario, so it was at least worth a shot.
"You are right. The demon race deserves better than to be at the rcy of orcs. I will help you regain your kingdom." I said.
The princess smiled and climbed to her feet.
"Thank you, we owe you dearly. It’s best we attack them as soon as possible. I was thinking that we should march on the capital right now. We would arrive by midnight, where we could launch the surprise attack."
"Princess," Suddenly the knight from before interrupted her. "It’s best to wait and plan these things carefully."
"The more we wait, the higher the risk of news spreading, and our surprise attack won’t longer be a surprise. But still, I leave the choice up to Apex to decide what to do."
I had spent the last couple days hunting monsters endlessly with minimal rest.
Physically I may be fine, but ntally, I was fatigued. If I’m going to participate in a full on siege, then it’s best I do so when I’m at my peak.
"It’s best to wait and plan this wisely," I suggested.
The princess nodded.
"As you wish," she said. "Do you mind if we remain in the forest until it’s ti to leave?"
"Feel free to eat from the forest, but don’t harm the trees, and limit yourself to the amount of monsters you hunt." I warned.
Lily would go feral if they destroyed her plants and trees.
While the army began to settle in, I helped myself to the offering they brought.
The fruits didn’t give a lot of biomass, but it was biomass nonetheless.
Though it was a bit sour.
The at, on the other hand, seed to have co from weaker monsters.
[You have gained 250 biomass]
This was barely a snack. After a while, I decided to go back up my mountain.
I can’t say I fully trust the demons or that princess. My instinct told I was being used, and that there was sothing more lying beneath all this, but for now I carried on blissfully.
I entered the mountain at the summit and allowed myself to drift through the magma current until I was back in my lair.
It was getting a bit late, so I logged out, and in an instant, I was back outside the ga, staring at the all-too-familiar ceiling.
A bit groggily, I crawled out of bed. Alia and Sophia should be back by now, but for so reason, the apartnt was ominously quiet.
I checked the living room, but they weren’t there either. Surprised, I decided to send Alia a ssage.
’Hey, where you guys?’
1 hour...
2 hours...
3 hours...
Still nothing. This was highly unusual. Usually, Alia would ssage back within a few seconds, and she doesn’t normally stay out this late.
Did sothing happen?
My mind drifted to the worst, but I quickly dismissed the thought since she had Lily with her for protection.
Still, after another hour went by, and it was now 2 AM, I was now sick of waiting, so I grabbed my coat and headed to the front door. But the mont I opened the door, my gut dropped.
"Lily?"
I imdiately rushed forward towards her.
She had collapsed in the hallway, just a few inches away from the door.
But the worst part about her condition was that she was covered in cuts and bruises.
I quickly lifted her up and carried her inside. Her eyes opened slowly, and I rushed to the bedroom and placed her on the bed.
"Liam," her smaller hand reached out and touched my face.
Her touch was cold, and it felt as if sothing had gripped my heart, but I bore through it and took a hold of her hand.
"They took Alia. I tried to stop him, but I wasn’t strong enough to protect her like you told to. I’m sorry. He said to tell you that this is what happens when you go against the Wild Hog guild."
The Wild Hog guild?! Of course it’s them!
I thought I had more ti.
If anything, I thought they would’ve targeted . I planned for it.
Those bastards!
Lily said they only took her, which ans she could still be alive.
She had to be.
Or else...
They wouldn’t dare hurt her because of who her father was, but maybe they don’t know.
Even then, they probably took her to get to comply, or maybe it’s revenge for killing two of their mbers.
Dammit! Spiraling like this will only make things worse.
I need to think about this calmly and rationally and make the right decision.
Taking a deep breath, I quickly reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone before dialing Alfred’s number.
The phone rang for a few seconds until a groggy male voice could be heard from the other end.
"Hello?"
"Alfred, do you have a way to contact the leader of the Wild Hog guild?"
Alfred went silent for a few seconds before responding.
"I’m sorry, I can’t hand over a client’s contacts without their permission."
"Don’t worry. I only want you to deliver a ssage for ."
Alfred listened attentively as I articulated the ssage I wanted him to deliver.
I imagine it didn’t make any sense to him, but I’m sure the leader of the guild would understand the significance of my ssage.
This was my only bargaining chip.
This ssage alone would stop him from acting too hastily.
"OK, I’ll tell him."
After my conversation with Alfred, I didn’t waste another second before logging back into Vesperia. In the anti, I had sothing else I had to do.
