Endless Extraction in a Game-Like World Chapter 197: Extracting the Deus Ex Machina! Quantum Adaptat
[Na: Jibril]
[Race: Deus Ex Machina]
[Specialty: Quantum Adaptation]
[Rank: Silver III]
"Quantum Adaptation?" Caelus was stunned.
What was a quantum adaptation?
He decided to ask Jibril herself.
"It lets adapt to any kind of power and make a counter attack. I can adapt to three attacks before I enter a cooldown. The number I can adapt to goes up with every rank." Jibril replied in the sa emotionless tone.
Caelus was caught off guard hearing this.
He rembered the fight between Jibril and that behemoth. Was that how she had beaten it? Was the sword she ford her counter attack?
But....
Wasn’t this just too broken?
No wonder she could kill gods.
From the information he’d received about her, it was said her entire race was made for the sole purpose of killing gods.
Maybe all of the ex machinas had this power, but she was the only one who could use it to its full potential.
Then he moved on to her rank. It was Silver III.
This worked based on the number of faction mbers.
She received a share of their combined power, which ca out to Silver III, since most of the population was Silver rank.
She was allocated almost 5M of the faction mbers to draw power from. He could have given her the other 2.2M as well, but that would leave too little for another pillar, and he doubted it would make much of a difference.
Then Caelus thought of sothing.
"Don’t move, Jibril." Caelus instructed as he took out the value changer card and used it on her.
He realized she hadn’t drawn any power from him or Sylvia yet, probably because they were special mbers. But if she did, she should rise even higher.
The value changer card gave him the option to add in the ability to draw power from him and Sylvia too. He maxed it out as much as he could, and once he finished the changes, a light shone around Jibril at once.
Level-up light burst from her over and over. In an instant, her power shot up and reached Gold I.
The power of the faction mbers she drew from, combined with Sylvia’s and Caelus’s own power, pushed her up to a level as strong as the two of them put together.
Caelus decided to test out Jibril’s abilities, since he couldn’t see her combat score.
But just as he was about to ask her, a new notification appeared before his eyes.
[Would you like to extract the God-Tier Potential Pillar: Deus Ex Machina?]
[Y/N]
Caelus was surprised by this.
But just as quickly, he clicked extract.
As if he would ever say no to free food?
[Ding! You’ve obtained a God-Tier Potential Pillar Card]
Caelus almost jumped for joy when he saw this.
It was about ti!
It was finally ti to upgrade his first retainer, the one who worked in the shadows, into a God-Tier pillar.
[Ding! You need 5M faith power to use it on Retainer: Pri]
[You generate 2.2M faith power daily]
[5M has been allocated to God-Tier Pillar: Deus Ex Machina]
[You would need 5M minimum mbers to power the pillar as well.]
[2x faith power benefit is not enough.]
"A 2x faith power benefit?" Caelus raised an eyebrow at this.
Does that an the overall faith power will be doubled?
Isn’t that great?
But on the other hand, that won’t be enough to power the pillars. Maybe it can be used with the perks of the Sea of Faith, like healing or resurrecting the dead.
Either way, it was incredibly useful.
Maybe it was ti to conquer other kingdoms?
Speaking of which, he still didn’t know when he would be able to reach level 1 of the Sea of Faith.
Maybe it would need 10M, or even 100M.
For now, he decided to test out the Deus Ex Machina’s power.
But just before he could start, he felt sothing was off. He saw the barrier above him flickering a little.
Soone was attacking their walls!
Sensing this, Caelus stopped and turned to Sylvia, who nodded at him.
"Ha... why can’t they just go about their day normally?" Caelus clicked his tongue. He turned to the Deus Ex Machina, Jibril, and gave her an order. "Can you deal with the intruders? We can test your combat abilities that way."
Jibril nodded. They set off and arrived near the place where these people were wreaking havoc.
Above the group, a na lit up: Genesis Kingdom.
Seeing the na, Caelus curiously opened the chat. It was still going strong, with lots of people talking.
The people from his own kingdom were talking there too, constantly asking the others who their king was. Sarah took the lead in glazing him and saying all kinds of out of pocket things.
Caelus’s lips twitched at this. He decided to ignore it and asked a question.
[Caelus (Origin Kingdom): What is the Genesis Kingdom?]
The instant he sent the ssage, everyone paused.
[Jamal (Pikanet Energy Sustainnt Kingdom): The big boss who ranked 1st in the domain finally spoke!]
[Stella (Mistwood Kingdom): How did you get more civilians, King of Origin Kingdom? Do you have two Rookie Gods?]
[Caelus (Origin Kingdom): Maybe.]
[Caelus (Origin Kingdom): Anyway. Answer my question.]
[Tucker (Taskbar Kingdom): The Genesis Kingdom? Did you run into them? If so, then you’re out of luck, friend. These people are one of the major ruling factions on my planet, the Genesis Alliance. They say it’s made up of people who follow the Hollow Faction.]
[Stella (Mistwood Kingdom): You’re from planet Zizi, right, Tucker? I’ve heard of that alliance before, from my father, back when he visited your planet.]
[Tucker (Taskbar Kingdom): Yep. I’m from there. But listen, friend of Origin Kingdom. It’s best if you don’t fight them head on. They’re incredibly strong, and they have plenty of underhanded powers to put you down.]
[Stella (Mistwood Kingdom): Do you need backup, King of Origin? I can help if you want. Just give 1M civilians.]
[Jamal (Pikanet Energy Sustainnt Kingdom): My kingdom’s troops are only moderate, but they should be of so help. I’ll send over my thieving goblin troops. They’re epic tier.]
[Ramses (Blistering Sands Kingdom): Friend, if you hand over your kingdom to , I’ll help you too.]
[Dmitri (Frostvale Kingdom): Count in, King of Origin. I’ve held a grudge against the Hollow Faction for years. Say the word and my troops are yours.]
[Ingrid (Ironwood Kingdom): If Frostvale is in, then so am I. My soldiers aren’t flashy, but they’re the defensive type, so they don’t break easily.]
[Hassan (Pixelgate Kingdom): Anyone who stands against the Hollow Faction has my support. Pixelgate will back you up, just give 500k civilians.]
[Marco (Greenhollow Kingdom): Sa here. I don’t have much, but every bit counts against those Hollow Faction snakes.]
Ramses aside, plenty of others were offering support too.
It seed the Hollow Faction was a common enemy across the middle expanse too.
[Caelus (Origin Kingdom): Thanks, but I don’t need it. I can handle them on my own.]
[Tucker (Taskbar Kingdom): I warned you, friend. It’s best not to take them lightly. Most of them sit at the peak of Gold III, but they have the ans to cross into the Crown I threshold.]
Tucker was a sharp, analytical person. Through a few lucky encounters, he had reached the threshold of Gold III early while still being a Gold II, so he knew just how dangerous the Genesis Kingdom could be.
You could find one in every tier of the league.
It seed the Genesis Kingdom had been waiting for the event to end so they could target the big boss of a kingdom and take its riches for themselves.
Rather than kill you, they tortured you with special thods until you were worn down enough to hand over ownership of your kingdom to them.
[Caelus (Origin Kingdom): These people can’t do anything.]
Caelus chuckled. His combat score might be maxed out at Gold III, but he had plenty of skills that could deal 10 damage or more, and that was without the Frost Monarch mod, which he hadn’t even calibrated yet.
[Garret Roman (Crimson Peak Kingdom): You sure know how to boast. How long has it even been since the domain opened? You think you can just deal with that many Hollow Faction players like it’s nothing?]
