Fran’s cheeks reddened as soon as she recognized Alex’s gift. In fact, the first thing she did was thump her closed fists on his chest out of embarrassnt, making Alex chuckle and hug her tightly.
"Seriously. Of all the gifts you could give , why did it have to be this?" Fran asked, her face turning a shade redder. "Also, why is it pink?"
"Because it has the sa color as your hair," Alex replied.
"Liar. You just want to see wear that," Fran pouted.
"Well, I won’t deny that I want to see you wearing my gift." Alex nodded as he, too, blushed. Just imagining Fran wearing such a sexy piece of lingerie was enough for the Shield Hero to rise from his slumber.
"Do you really want to see wear it?"
"It doesn’t have to be now. Let’s pick a good ti for it, okay?"
"Mmm." Fran nodded.
She was too embarrassed to put on her lover’s gift in front of him. Perhaps she could wear it on her own until she could get past her embarrassnt.
In order to pacify the pouting Fran, Alex gave her plenty of kisses and cuddles. They also talked about his adventure in the Dungeon of Beasts, which the dwarf was also curious about.
"It’s good that you managed to save them in ti," Fran said after listening to Alex’s story. "Astrea is a good person. She often gives seedlings unique to their duchy. But then again, she’s a bit of a klutz."
"That she is." Alex nodded in agreent.
One of Astrea’s quirks was to trip on just about anything. Sotis, she would trip even if nothing was there!
Though, most of the ti, these accidents led to a stroke of good fortune.
She tripped on a rock? Astrea would angrily smash it on the ground, shattering the outer parts, only to discover that there was actually a very rare gem inside of it.
Tripped on grass? It was actually a legendary herb that could cure any sickness!
Tripped on air? Sothing valuable must be buried deep under the ground where she tripped.
That was how Astrea’s luck worked. If Alex didn’t have any classes and had no life, he would have followed her everyday carrying a shovel just in case she started tripping everywhere!
At the thought of these things, Alex rembered the ti when he took the trial for the classes of the academy.
It was Astrea who had pushed him into the different portals that led to different tests. Thanks to the outcos of those trials, he ended up in Class 1-C, which was a class he now shared with his friends.
Finally, after sharing one, long, and very sweet kiss, Alex finally bade Fran goodnight and returned to the dormitory.
When he arrived at the common room, he saw Dim Dim playing cards with the girls. The little bun had its gangster sunglasses on and piles of colorful chips were stacked by its side.
"Kukuku." Dim Dim chuckled as it showed its hand, which was a straight flush.
"Wow! Dim Dim, you’re very good at this!" one of the pretty ladies praised the little bun, who won once again.
"Mada Mada Dane." Dim Dim shook its head cutely before striking a pose, which made the ladies squeal at its cuteness.
Alex couldn’t help but smile at this scene. Seeing the little bun having fun, he decided to let it play for a while longer.
Fortunately, the person he had co here for was also in the common room, currently talking with Nessia.
The two seed to be discussing a serious matter since they were at the very corner, talking in hushed voices.
Out of curiosity, he slowly approached them, ensuring they couldn’t sense his presence.
"You see... Charles has been very rough as of late," Nessia said shyly. "But I kind of like it when he’s like that. It’s a side of him that I don’t usually see. Also... it feels good."
Alex blinked once, then twice. He might have eavesdropped on a girltalk he wasn’t supposed to hear.
The young man knew that it was ti for evasive maneuvers, so he slowly backed away, doing his best to erase his presence in the process.
"Alex! So this is where you are!" Chuck appeared at that exact mont, making Nessia and Lavinia almost jump in fright.
When the two turned around, they saw Alex crouching behind them, looking like he was in the middle of walking away.
anwhile, Chuck, who had no idea what was happening, looked at his friend with amusent.
"What are you doing?" Chuck asked. "Are you perhaps eavesdropping on Lavinia and Nessia’s conversation?"
At that exact mont, Alex considered ending his friendship with Chuck.
No, that was wrong.
He considered ENDING Chuck right then and there!
"W-Wait!" Alex looked at Nessia and Lavinia with his hands raised in surrender. "I-It’s not what you think!"
To his surprise, Nessia and Lavinia looked at him calmly.
But Nessia’s next words made the young man shudder. At that mont, he felt like a cold steel blade was sliding behind his back.
"It’s not what I think?" Nessia smiled a smile that made Alex feel as if his days were numbered. "If so, do help understand what you’re talking about."
Lavinia looked amused. Alex looked like soone stuck between a rock and a hard place. His face was beet-red, not knowing what to do right now.
Of course, the troublemaker, the one and only Chuck, had no idea what he had done. He simply appeared at the right mont at the right ti, causing the current situation to unfold.
Knowing he was the one who had done sothing wrong, Alex apologized to Nessia and Lavinia for eavesdropping in their conversation.
This resulted in him being nagged by Nessia for five whole minutes before he was dragged away by Lavinia.
She had asked for Nessia’s permission if she could take Alex to her room, wanting to explain the situation properly.
Since Nessia and Lavinia now shared a room together, she reluctantly agreed to her roommate’s request.
Once they were safe behind doors, Lavinia dragged Alex to her bed, making him sit on top of it.
"It’s not good to listen to conversations between ladies, Alex," Lavinia said before sitting by his right side.
"Y-Yeah." Alex nodded. "It was really a spontaneous decision on my part. I shouldn’t have done that and breached Nessia’s privacy."
"Then, tell . What are the things that you heard?" Lavinia asked.
Alex didn’t hide anything, spilling the beans about Charles being too rough as of late, even though Nessia still felt good about it.
"Just to clear up any misunderstandings, she was only talking about Charles giving her a shoulder massage," Lavinia said with a smirk.
"Only a shoulder massage?" Alex blinked. "Why did she nag at for five minutes then?"
"It’s because you listened to our private talk, silly." Lavinia giggled. "Of course she had the right to nag at you."
Alex sighed before nodding his head. He no longer had any excuse for himself, so he hung his head in resignation.
At that mont, Lavinia hugged him before resting her head on his shoulder.
"Did you spend ti with Fran before coming back to the dormitory?" Lavinia asked.
"Yes," Alex replied without hesitation. "I looked for her so I could hand her a gift."
"A gift?" Lavinia pulled her head back and looked at Alex with an expectant gaze.
Understanding what the look in her eyes ant, Alex handed his gift to Lavinia, which she opened excitedly.
But her excitent quickly shifted to embarrassnt, and her face turned as red as a tomato.
"T-Thank you for the gift," Lavinia said after looking at the black lingerie designed to tempt rather than cover the parts that needed to be covered.
Alex also had to admit that among the lingeries that Astrea had pulled out from the treasure chest, the black and red ones were on a league of their own.
He was planning to give the red one to Evangeline, which he believed would hug her curves perfectly.
Of course, Alex also ca clean and told Lavinia that the lingeries ca from treasure chests, which Astrea had opened when they were in the Dungeon of Beasts.
After hearing this absurd story, Lavinia couldn’t help but look at Alex as if trying to determine if he was pranking her or not.
But since the young man had made a sworn statent using "The World" as his witness, she decided that it was just a series of unexpected events.
A few minutes later, Alex left Lavinia’s room with a satisfied look on his face.
All the misunderstandings were finally cleared, and they even scheduled a trip to the city, which would serve as their date.
Since it was already quite late, he decided to return to his room to rest.
And on that night, he dreamt of his Guild Master, who, for so reason, was asking for a gift as well. It was as if she had seen everything that happened between Alex and his lovers.
