I read the comnts, unable to believe what those people were saying. I quickly started typing to reply, but held myself back. 'It's not worth it,' I thought.
I turned off my iPad and placed it back where it was before, closing my eyes to sleep.
I kept thinking about those comnts until I fell asleep. I really hate being underestimated or having people talk badly about the things I do. In my previous world, AI-generated content was getting out of control—it seems like it's the sa in this world.
There must definitely be a lot of "artists" posting AI-made stuff on Twitter.
How can I make them believe I'm a real artist?
'I know, tomorrow I'll post a tilapse of my drawing.'
After calming down, I managed to sleep and woke up the next day. I picked up my iPad and saw it was seven in the morning. Soon after, my mother ca into the room and helped get dressed. After having breakfast and brushing my teeth, I got into the car with her and went to speech therapy.
Once again, no progress. I tried to speak—I really did—but no complete words would co out. It felt like nothing was improving, and I could see the discouragent on the doctor's face.
Unlike the doctor, my mother remained very hopeful.
'It's even a bit embarrassing to keep trying to talk.'
As soon as we got back to the car, I let out a sigh.
"What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?"
I picked up my iPad and typed:
[I'm tired of this. Nothing is changing.]
"I know it's tiring, but it's necessary. If you keep trying, I'm sure you'll recover soon!" She looked so cheerful that it made feel a little bad for her.
I smiled and wrote: [I won't give up.]
"That's the spirit!" My mother pumped her fist in the air with a big smile.
As soon as we got ho, I walked straight to my room.
"Kyo, don't you want a snack?"
I turned around and shook my head.
As soon as I entered the room, I opened Twitter to check the art I had posted.
'What the hell!?'
The artwork I posted already had over twenty thousand likes. I felt like I was flying. A strong chill ran through my body. 'I didn't expect it to go this viral.'
However, I noticed that the comnts accusing my art of being made with AI had increased. On top of that, they had a lot of likes.
'Now I understand how artists in my old world who were accused of using AI feel.'
I smiled bitterly and read the other comnts.
Fortunately, there were many replies saying it wasn't AI, along with lots of praise for my art.
Then, one comnt caught my attention:
[Who is this character? She's so beautiful!!! Is she from an ani I don't know?]
Many people had replied to that comnt, and it had over two thousand likes.
[I've never seen this character before. She's really beautiful, isn't she? ^^]
[I did a reverse image search and found nothing. Maybe she's an original character created by the artist.]
[If that's the case, the artist is really talented!]
I smiled and replied to the first comnt:
[This is a character from a novel I'm writing called "Overlord." I've just started writing it—I'll be publishing it soon.]
In reality, I'm not even planning to write Overlord. Wouldn't that basically be copying?
Well, that work doesn't exist in this world. Maybe the original author doesn't exist here either.
Wouldn't it be fine to write it?
My mory is Rank S. I rember everything I read in the past. The Overlord novel wasn't finished when I died, but I had read all the released volus. I've also read many other famous works.
Books, novels, manga, manhwa.
Even so, I've always liked movies and series more.
But to start a career, isn't writing a novel or drawing a manga the right thing to do? After all, I live in Japan. That makes things much easier!
After replying to the comnt, I opened the drawing app and started working on a new piece. This ti, I began drawing Shalltear—but now I would make a tilapse of the entire process.
As soon as I started, my hand moved skillfully, and in less than three hours, the artwork was finished.
Then, I posted it on my Twitter with the hashtags #Ani and #Overlord.
I had gained four thousand followers from my last post, so likes and retweets started coming in quickly. Then, I replied to my own post with a tilapse video of the artwork.
The video was just over a minute long, even though I had "worked" for hours.
After that, I closed Twitter and opened "Shousetsuka ni Narou," a site for authors to publish their web novels. The hopage was a ss, with several different rankings.
While analyzing the interface, I looked at the works in the rankings.
'I Reincarnated as a Stick?'
'I Am the Demon Queen in Love with the Southern Noble Family's Raccoon?'
'Reincarnating into a Generic Fantasy Written by Myself'
They were all generic titles. That second one is… crazy.
I smiled and created an account on my iPad using my email.
'Should I use a pseudonym?'
I can just use any Japanese na—no one will care.
"Aoi Haruki."
A very generic na I saw in my past life.
With that pseudonym, I was ready to start writing, but… doing this on an iPad is very difficult and slow.
'Well, I have plenty of free ti. I don't even have friends or go to school.' Thinking that, I opened a text file on my iPad and wrote the title "Overlord."
Then, I wrote the synopsis as I rembered it. It was quite grand and impactful.
After that, I started writing.
I've only read the light novel, so I'll have to adapt it into a web novel style. I don't want to make very long chapters.
With a smile on my face, the words flowed quickly across my iPad screen.
I don't know why, but even though I'm just copying, this is so much fun.
