"^"
Su Xuan stared blankly at his newly added entry: [Succubus Physique]. ’What does this 0-10 value an?’
’Is it height?’
’Or...’
"Let see that painting."
Just then, Edith extended a jade-like hand, asking Su Xuan for the portrait he had obtained from the Bright Church.
’Shared Perception really is convenient~’
Su Xuan couldn’t help but comnt to himself, then took the portrait from his Player inventory and handed it to Edith.
Edith unrolled the scroll and carefully studied the woman in the painting.
Seeing her examine it so intently, Su Xuan couldn’t help but ask curiously, "Do you know her?"
"I don’t know her identity, but I’m certain she is one of the Saintesses of the Sun Sect Country," Edith replied, handing the portrait back to Su Xuan as she spoke.
After taking the portrait, Su Xuan examined it closely again, pondering to himself: ’A portrait of a Saintess from the Sun Sect Country... why would it be in a church in the Star Kingdom?’
While he was lost in thought, Edith vanished without a trace.
The frozen scene was unpaused, and Ivsha resud gently swaying her hips.
However, she suddenly noticed sothing unusual.
’Strange, what’s wrong?’
Ivsha looked down in confusion and readjusted her position.
She couldn’t shake the feeling that sothing was off, as if her prey was gradually growing stronger!
Just as Ivsha was feeling perplexed, Su Xuan’s right hand gently grabbed her heart-tipped tail.
He said confidently, "Ivsha, it’s my turn now!"
Ivsha: "Huh?"
"Eek!~"
(What followed was a scene of disciplining the Succubus, fifty thousand words omitted...)
...
In the twilight of dusk, Su Xuan sat in the Guild, enjoying a mont of peace. Ivsha gently massaged his shoulders, her stunningly beautiful face showing deep reliance on and contentnt with him.
anwhile, Alice was carefully peeling grapes to the side, then smilingly offered one to Su Xuan’s lips.
"Master~ Ahh~"
Su Xuan swallowed the sweet, fresh grape and then opened the chat interface.
In the chat group of 23 Players, various topics were being discussed.
But one familiar line kept popping up: "Friend, wanna buy so Silver Scale Armor? 5 gold a piece!"
Aside from that, many Players felt this special event wasn’t particularly difficult. They generally believed the beast tide invasion couldn’t threaten Sunset City’s existence; after all, the city-state had deep-seated foundations.
The Sunset City Lord was powerful, the Warriors were in high spirits, and with the protection of White Rose and the Six Great Knight Clans, it was hard to imagine what scale of beast tide it would take to destroy the city-state.
Unless it crumbled from within!
Su Xuan had his doubts about this. After all, he still hadn’t figured out what kind of backup plan the Night Witch had hidden within Sunset City.
Besides, from the very beginning, the beast tide was never the hardest thing to deal with! As long as the factor causing the beast tide remained, Sunset City would never know peace!
Just as Su Xuan was lost in thought, the Teleportation Array flashed with white light.
Rosaline pushed open the Guild’s doors and walked into Su Xuan’s line of sight.
"You’re back?"
Su Xuan looked at Rosaline; her expression seed a little grim.
"Yes."
Rosaline nodded to Su Xuan, then said, "I’ve discovered so things."
"Speak!"
Su Xuan imdiately sat up straight, his expression serious as he stared at Rosaline.
"Do you rember that area beneath Sunset City, where the Magic Fla Silver Phoenix Butterfly was?" Rosaline asked.
"I do."
"I investigated, and there’s a faint Magic Power fluctuation beneath the Magic Fla Silver Phoenix Butterfly’s Fla Cocoon. It’s a type of Magic Power I’ve never seen before!" Rosaline told Su Xuan everything she had discovered.
...
Hearing this, Su Xuan lowered his head in thought.
’If it’s really as Rosaline says, then the Night Witch’s purpose for releasing the Magic Fla Silver Phoenix Butterfly here wasn’t to destroy Sunset City, but to awaken so mysterious creatures hidden deep beneath it?’
"Do Sunset City’s records not ntion anything hidden beneath the underground city?" Su Xuan asked.
"That’s classified. Only the Sunset City Lord and the Guardian Clan of White Rose know," Rosaline replied, shaking her head.
"Does Natasha know?"
"I think... probably not."
Rosaline’s answer made Su Xuan feel that the situation in Sunset City was sowhat delicate.
"Take to see it," Su Xuan proposed, wanting Rosaline to take him beneath Sunset City. Perhaps he could find so clues there.
"Okay."
...
Soon, they arrived in the area beneath Sunset City, and the shattered Fla Cocoon once again ca into Su Xuan’s view. As he approached the front of the Fla Cocoon, just as Rosaline had said, a faint Magic Power fluctuation emanated from deep underground.
He listened intently and could faintly hear a soft sound, like the trembling of a heartbeat. ’Is it a Demon Beast or so other living creature?’ Su Xuan wondered.
He crouched down and discovered a tiny crack at the base of the Fla Cocoon. He tried to peer through the crack to see what was deeper inside, but it was pitch-black, with only the occasional flicker of blue fluorescence, and he still couldn’t make anything out.
"Did you find anything?" Rosaline asked Su Xuan.
Su Xuan shook his head helplessly. "No."
He didn’t dare rashly break through the ground, lest he awaken the monster inside prematurely.
"Let’s go to the Yerman Clan’s Castle together. Maybe Roxia and the others can help."
Su Xuan imdiately made this suggestion because, in Sunset City, the only people he could truly trust were Roxia and her group. He was even suspicious of the Sunset City Lord.
