Mu Tiantian naturally noticed the change in Cheng Junnan’s expression as he looked at her. She instinctively avoided his gaze, slightly lowering her eyes, staring at her toes.
"Tian Tian, Old Madam Shen and Old Madam Mu have been friends for many years. The current Mrs. Mu is Old Madam Shen’s only daughter, cherished from childhood, and Mu Haiyun is Old Madam Shen’s only niece, loved like a precious treasure."
Listening, Mu Tiantian smiled gently.
"Thank you for the reminder, President Cheng. But what goes around cos around, and eventually the truth will co out!"
She wasn’t foolish; she knew exactly why Cheng Junnan was telling her this. He was indirectly letting her know that no matter who was right or wrong on her grandfather’s eightieth birthday, to Old Madam Shen, she was just an outsider that night.
Listening to Mu Tiantian’s words, Cheng Junnan’s eyes deepened a bit, and when looking at Mu Tiantian, his gaze was filled with an increasingly heavy sense of pity.
"Tian Tian, now are you still"
"With Bai Chenyao?" No matter how hard Cheng Junnan tried, he couldn’t bring himself to ask.
He felt like it was a thorn in his heart. If he didn’t ask, he could still pretend that Mu Tiantian was just Mu Tiantian and not Bai Chenyao’s woman.

"Tian Tian, do you not want to see or be with ?"

Cheng Junnan hadn’t expected Mu Tiantian to respond so directly and decisively.
She didn’t even consider his feelings, directly stating the person she was worried about was Bai Chenyao.
Because she worried about Bai Chenyao overthinking, she even refused to be around Cheng Junnan!
This straightforward answer was like a cold, sharp knife stabbing into Cheng Junnan’s heart.
His gentle gaze shattered into pieces because of Mu Tiantian’s words.
Mu Tiantian looked at him with a slight pause, opened her mouth, her voice not loud but very clear.
