Bai Chenyao didn’t speak, Gu Tiantian didn’t bother talking either, and Li Mu was like a transparent person, so the ward suddenly beca quiet, almost to the point where the breathing of the three could be heard.

Following his line of sight, Gu Tiantian suddenly realized she was hungry.

Bai Chenyao took the docunts handed to him without looking at Gu Tiantian, and started reviewing them on the sofa.
Li Mu stood beside him, as many docunts required the sir’s signature before he could hand them over for imdiate processing.
It wasn’t his first ti seeing Bai Chenyao at work; he’d had an unpleasant encounter in the company big shot’s office once.
Recalling that very unpleasant eting, Gu Tiantian shifted her gaze away and turned to look at the blue sky outside the window.
The ward was very quiet, apart from the sound of breathing and the rustle of the pen tip on paper as Bai Chenyao signed, along with the noise of him flipping through the docunts.
By past one o’clock, Li Mu went out once again, taking the already signed docunts from Bai Chenyao, and when he returned, he was carrying two large plastic bags.
One bag contained als, snacks, and soup, while the other contained plenty of fruits.
"Sir, these fruits are still warm."
After Li Mu spoke, he waited for Bai Chenyao to nod before leaving.
She lifted her head, just eting Bai Chenyao who was handing over a big, bright red apple.

Gu Tiantian ate the apple while Bai Chenyao ate his al.
One sat on the hospital bed, the other on the sofa.
One took crunchy bites with relish, while the other ate slowly and gracefully, looking indescribably elegant.
Her gaze fell upon Bai Chenyao, watching him eat, Gu Tiantian felt it was a kind of enjoynt.
Her small mouth continued to crunch the apple, those bright grape-like eyes never once leaving Bai Chenyao.
