After a casual exchange with Zhang Lan, Gu Tiantian prepared to go upstairs.
Mrs. Chen quickly spoke up as she looked at the fruit platter.
"Miss Gu, would you like so fruit?"
She felt a bit stuffed from eating, having just begun to feel better; her stomach couldn’t take anything more.
"No, Mrs. Chen, I don’t want to end up in the hospital for eating too much again; that was truly embarrassing!"
Listening to this, Zhang Lan’s thoughts stirred.
"Tian Tian, when did you end up in the hospital? Are you alright now?"
Seeing Zhang Lan looking at her with concern, Gu Tiantian smiled slightly.
"That was a long ti ago, I’m completely fine now."
Glancing at the fruit Mrs. Chen was holding, Gu Tiantian smiled gleefully at Zhang Lan.
"Even though fall is approaching, the midday heat is intense outside now. Mr. Zhang, why don’t you have so fruit to quench your thirst, then take a rest."
Before Zhang Lan could speak, Gu Tiantian quickly added.
"I won’t accompany Mr. Zhang; if you need anything, just ask Mrs. Chen."
She smiled at Mrs. Chen, and seeing her nod, Gu Tiantian turned around and walked towards the stairs, quickly heading up to the second floor.
Once in the second-floor bedroom, Gu Tiantian didn’t bother changing clothes, falling directly onto the soft, comfortable big bed.
She had gotten up a bit early, along with having trouble sleeping last night, making her feel incredibly drowsy now.
After a while, Gu Tiantian drifted off into a deep sleep.
She didn’t know how long had passed, but faintly heard chaotic noises.
In a daze, she slowly opened her eyes and listened carefully.
Noticing there was indeed commotion, though she didn’t want to deal with it, she realized it was quite late and it was the right ti to get up. She quickly climbed out of bed.
Without caring to freshen up, she swiftly left the bedroom.
As soon as she stepped out, a beautiful maid approached.
"Miss Gu, sothing’s happened."
"Hm?"
Gu Tiantian was a bit surprised; how could sothing have happened out of the blue?
Seeing this, the beautiful maid quickly explained.
"Miss Gu, it’s like this: Miss Zhang Lan accidentally drowned. Mrs. Chen has already called the family doctor. Although the danger has been averted, she still needs to be hospitalized for a check-up, and they’re preparing to go to the hospital."
Drowned?
Gu Tiantian’s pupils widened; how could anyone possibly drown just like that?
"Where is she?"
The beautiful maid pointed to the front door. Glancing over, Gu Tiantian, regardless of wearing slippers, quickly ran downstairs.
Seeing Zhang Lan being carried onto the ambulance, Gu Tiantian hurriedly got on the vehicle.
Mrs. Chen was startled.
"Miss Gu, that’s unsuitable."
There was nothing unsuitable; Zhang Lan had the accident here.
With Bai Chenyao on a business trip, sothing happened to Zhang Lan, she had to accompany her.
"Mrs. Chen, I will go with them first; it’s no problem."
Wasn’t the danger already averted?
She went along to confirm the situation imdiately; after all, Zhang Lan was her tutor.
As for why she drowned, Gu Tiantian couldn’t spare the thought right now.
Once they were at the hospital, Mrs. Chen was sure to co. She’d ask then.
Seeing Gu Tiantian’s insistence, Mrs. Chen had no choice.
"Miss Gu, let Xiao Zhang take you there, otherwise how will you get back?"
Too lazy to change cars, she looked at Mrs. Chen.
"Mrs. Chen, please have Xiao Zhang drive to the City Hospital."
The doctor closed the car door, keeping Mrs. Chen’s words outside, while Gu Tiantian’s attention was entirely on Zhang Lan, not noticing what Mrs. Chen had said.
Upon arriving at the hospital, Zhang Lan was wheeled into the ergency room by the doctors.
