Even though she’d just t Dong Tong, Gu Tiantian really liked Dong Tong’s straightforwardness.
After making a call to say she wouldn’t be going back for lunch, Gu Tiantian turned around.
Seeing Dong Tong and Xu Ziqiao talking, Gu Tiantian suddenly felt a bit regretful.
She felt like she was a complete third wheel between Dong Tong and Xu Ziqiao.
Just then, Dong Tong saw she finished her call and quickly ca over to grab her hand.
"Co on, Tian Tian, let’s go eat. I know a newly opened restaurant nearby that’s affordable and delicious."
Saying this, Dong Tong looked at Xu Ziqiao.
"Ziqiao, don’t you agree?"
Xu Ziqiao nodded in agreent, his smile warm, with a hint of indulgence in his eyes.
"Yes, it’s less than a ten-minute drive. Ladies, please get in the car!"
Seeing Xu Ziqiao so enthusiastic, Gu Tiantian didn’t say much and quickly got in the car with Dong Tong.
In under ten minutes, the car stopped in front of a restaurant that wasn’t very big but had a constant stream of custors.
"Jeez... so many people?"
Dong Tong widened her eyes, very dissatisfied.
Xu Ziqiao chuckled, patting her head.
"It’s not your first ti here; why are you so surprised?"
Dong Tong unhappily swatted Xu Ziqiao’s hand, frowning and muttering.
"Oh co on, why do you always pat my head? I’m not your pet!"
Xu Ziqiao paused slightly and glanced at Gu Tiantian.
Seeing Gu Tiantian had already turned her head away, clearly not wanting to interrupt them, a warmth crossed Xu Ziqiao’s eyes, and he affectionately pinched Dong Tong’s nose.
"Who said you’re a pet? Clearly, you’re a princess!"
Dong Tong’s cheeks flushed instantly.
She quickly looked at Gu Tiantian and saw that she had already gone inside, letting out a sigh of relief.
Then she turned back, glaring fiercely at Xu Ziqiao and warned him harshly.
"Xu Ziqiao, can you stop doing that? I’m a grown-up now, yet you keep treating like I’m never going to grow up!"
What was even more frustrating was that she obviously had a tall build, totally different from the petite, delicate girls.
Xu Ziqiao continued to smile gently, his voice also very soft.
"Tongtong, you’re wrong about this. No matter how old you get, you’ll always be younger than , and in my eyes, you will always be"
"Stop right there!"
Dong Tong’s cheeks turned crimson, feeling she couldn’t listen any longer.
If she listened any more, she felt her head might explode.
She glared at Xu Ziqiao once more and quickly dashed inside.
Xu Ziqiao looked on, good-naturedly smiling and saying nothing as he followed her inside.
Once inside, Dong Tong found Gu Tiantian.
"Tian Tian, let’s go upstairs."
Dong Tong pointed to the second floor, signaling for Gu Tiantian to follow her up.
Gu Tiantian hadn’t realized there was an upstairs.
Because from the hall, you couldn’t see the stairs at all.
Dong Tong flashed a mysterious smile and pointed towards the corridor.
"Go up from there. This shop is small, but business is good, so the owner converted the original upstairs bedrooms into a dining area."
Gu Tiantian had an expression of realization and smiled as she followed Dong Tong upstairs.
The second floor was quite crowded too, but clearly a lot quieter than the bustling ground floor.
The owner, a well-built uncle in his forties with a round pale face, brightened up when he saw Dong Tong and Xu Ziqiao.
"Oh... you’re here! If Ziqiao hadn’t called to reserve a spot, you’d really have to line up today!"
Dong Tong’s eyes lit up, and she happily dashed over.
