When we arrived at Kunshan, it was two hours later, still early, probably not yet eight o’clock.
Watching Uncle Li and Aunt Huang start to unload potatoes and peanuts from the tractor, Gu Tiantian went over to help.
But just as she walked over, Aunt Huang pulled her away.
"Tian Tian, you go have a look around. I’ll catch up with you later. Let Uncle Li handle this. He cos here every week, he’s familiar with it."
Gu Tiantian originally thought to help with sales, but seeing Uncle Li and Aunt Huang’s intention, they really didn’t want her to help but wanted her to explore instead.
Gu Tiantian blinked, then smiled.
"Alright, I’ll go climb the mountain and wait for Aunt Huang while doing so."
"Good!"
The highest point of Kunshan is Yuzhu Peak, with an altitude of about twelve hundred ters, located at the border of Shengjing City and Xiangyun City. It’s the only Buddhist and Taoist tourism destination between the two cities, and it’s very famous throughout Xia Country, ranking among the top ten scenic spots.
Gu Tiantian had never been to Kunshan, even though it had been almost in front of her all along.
But growing up in her environnt, she never had ti to play around here. It was either studying or working part-ti to earn money, so playing ti was really very little.
And from the city to Kunshan, it takes at least three hours by car, encountering traffic jams could an being stuck all day.
Gu Tiantian doesn’t believe in Buddhism or Taoism, but standing at the foot of Kunshan and looking at the towering Yuzhu Peak, she looked up, feeling a slight sense of awe.
Since arriving at Kunshan, shops selling grass paper and incense could be seen everywhere, and roadside stalls were one after another. The goods being sold were almost identical, with grass paper and incense being essentials.
The faint scent of sandalwood lingered everywhere as Gu Tiantian took a deep breath, feeling her restless heart slowly calm down.
Watching the asphalt road stretching upward along the lush forest, then disappearing around the bend, Gu Tiantian blinked.
Turning around, she decisively chose a nearby bluestone path. Upon closer look, she could still see stone stairs built deeper inside.
Although she hadn’t been to Kunshan before, she had seen many posts from hikers about it, saying that although the main road was flat, it wasn’t as interesting as the forest trails, and it was very serene and quiet with occasional sightings of birds hiding deep in the woods, very interesting.
The most important thing is that the trail is very steep, climbing upwards; it shortens the distance by at least half compared to the asphalt road tourism route.
Gu Tiantian chose the shady trail because she was worried about eting people she knew on the main road.
Even though the chance was very small, better safe than sorry, caution is never wrong.
Diving into the shady trail, Gu Tiantian looked at her canvas shoes, a faint smile appearing in her eyes.

Not long after walking, she started climbing stairs. The slope looked about fifty degrees, the stairs not too long; Gu Tiantian felt totally stress-free.
After walking for about half an hour, Gu Tiantian began to sweat; her white and tender baby face turned rosy due to exercise, looking like two red little apples, very eye-catching.
Along the way, she t many tourists, mostly young people, and quite a few couples.
Gu Tiantian understood; young people generally like to take shortcuts on such rugged forest paths, while older ones tend to choose the paved tourist roads, and many even take tourist coaches directly to Yuzhu Peak.
