"President Cheng has asked to take care of you here until you get discharged."
Gu Tiantian: ...
She couldn’t quite understand what the company bigwig was up to.
After all, the two had been at each other’s throats before—her words were sharp, while the company bigwig was brutally direct.
And now he wanted his most trusted secretary to look after her?
Gu Tiantian attributed it to the company bigwig either being out of his mind or worried that his slap might cost a life.
Glancing at the hospital room’s facilities, she noticed it was a single room and felt a bit surprised.
She couldn’t afford a single room.
Secretary Jiang had doubts about President Cheng’s orders, but she dared not ask him. She naturally planned to observe Gu Tiantian more keenly.
"Miss Gu, don’t worry. All expenses here will be covered by President Cheng."
Gu Tiantian: ...
After noticing it was a single room, she didn’t expect to pay for it herself!
It’s not that she didn’t want to pay, but she simply couldn’t!
At this mont, Gu Tiantian completely forgot she held a black card that hadn’t been accepted when she tried to return it!
"It’s getting late, Miss Gu. Here’s the dinner I just went out to buy. I’ll wash my hands and co back to feed you."
Gu Tiantian: ...
President Cheng’s secretary feeding her?
Gu Tiantian didn’t think she’d rate such special treatnt!
She quickly shook her head, "Secretary Jiang, there’s no need to go to the trouble, I’ll do it myself."
Jiang ili could see the unease in Gu Tian’s eyes, and after glancing at the scars on Gu Tiantian’s face, her feelings about Gu Tian were complicated.
How to put it—she was used to those won who flattered President Cheng, acting all demure in front of him, yet displayed arrogance in front of her.
This Gu Tiantian was interesting.
Certainly interesting, or why would President Cheng have hit soone?
But then asked her to co and take care of Gu Tian, leaving Jiang ili even more bewildered about President Cheng’s intentions.
"You can’t move around too much now; it’ll pull on your tailbone and cause more pain. Just wait."
Jiang ili was the type to do what she said without hesitation or contradiction.
Gu Tiantian liked this straightforward and efficient personality.
Although she felt a little awkward when Jiang ili fed her, after so ntal preparation, she relaxed and started eating.
While feeding her, Jiang ili also kept observing Gu Tiantian.
She found Gu Tiantian to be different from the usual won around President Cheng—not pretentious, not affected, and carrying a polite uneasiness.
Was it because President Cheng had hit her, hence she felt nervous?
Jiang ili wasn’t sure, but it didn’t affect her task of feeding Gu Tiantian.
After the al, Jiang ili helped Gu Tiantian to the bathroom.
Once Gu Tiantian was washed and back on the bed, Jiang ili tidied up the empty al boxes and left.
Imdiately upon exiting, she encountered President Cheng who was about to enter.
"President!"
Cheng Junnan gave Jiang ili a sidelong glance and nodded amicably.
"Is she awake?"
Jiang ili nodded and spoke very gently.
"Awake, just had dinner, and is now resting."
Cheng Junnan nodded and signaled Jiang ili to leave.
He hesitated for a mont before entering.
Gu Tiantian was lying there reading a magazine placed on the small bedside table—though it wasn’t an entertainnt magazine but a finance magazine, sothing she found very uninteresting.
Upon hearing the door open, she assud Jiang ili was back, so she didn’t turn around.
"Secretary Jiang, you don’t need to stay here, go back. It’s late, I can manage here myself, really."
