Augustus roared within Fuyu, his powers surging as his vessels appeared, dozens of Magitech Golems he possessed with his vast soul. He used them to unleash powerful hammer strikes against every side of the cube they were trapped in, beginning to break through it...
"It’s really them!" Benladann said.
"The Ice Queen and the Fox!" Miranda exclaimed.
"God damn, and what an entrance! These girls really do know how to act cool!" Yuki laughed.
"Thank you for ing, we were in a pinch right there," Drake said, smiling as he laughed it off.
"You always laugh off everything, even when you’re on the brink of death..." the Ice Queen sighed. "I don’t know whether to call you a fool or... a very brave man."
"I hatched approximately an hour ago, but I was waiting for just the right time to help out," the Fox giggled mischievously. "Ahhh~ That face of despair you made! I really loved it."
"Y-You two never change, huh?" Drake sighed, his eyebrows twitching. "I see you’ve gained new vessels... you’re stronger than I had imagined."
"Are we?" the Ice Queen smiled at him.
"Well, you’re about to see the true strength of your allies, Drake," the Fox Venerable said.
Their eyes quickly turned toward Fortune Deus, someone they had interacted with a few times before—someone who had lied to them and was now betraying their trust and their deal.
"Deus, you once promised us an alliance, and now not only have you betrayed us, but you’re actively working against our mon interests," the Ice Queen said. "What is the meaning of this?!"
"Isn’t it quite obvious? The bastard is a liar, a really good one at that," the Fox said. "And to think I ended up sharing some of my resources with him... If we hadn’t helped you back then, you would never have been able to revive as quickly as you did!"
"Hmph! Well, you already know the answer, Ice Queen... or should I call you Skadi, your true name? Named the same as that filthy Titan."
"Filthy? You’re really far gone, huh? Or perhaps you always were... Lady Skadi blessed me with her own name as a means to bee her vessel, and now that I have finally e back, I will protect this world, as she wills it!"
"Hahaha! My interests and my dreams were always for humans to remain the supreme race of this world. All other races are barbarians that deserve nothing but death. You have trampled over humanity this entire time, the chosen tribe of the Ancient Gods. And now, I will reenact their Divine Will and cleanse your filth from this world."
"And you’re planning to do that while Oberon is reviving, planning to destroy the world?! Are you kidding me? How stupid can you be? Were all those beatings killing your last few brain cells by any chance?" the Fox Venerable mocked.
"Aha, as always, the vixen has a sharp tongue..." Deus smiled confidently. "Does it matter what Oberon wants? Once I defeat you and absorb your powers, I’ll bee stronger than him. Then I’ll take him down, and it’ll be over, as easy as that!"
"Nothing is easy, you blabbering fool. Only by working together with people can we truly achieve our dreams," Skadi said. "That’s something I learned when I was a child."
"I am not alone, as you can see. Fortune has bee part of me, my disciple whom I spent so many resources raising into the Venerable he became! With his powers, I have now surpassed my former pinnacle, ascending into an even higher Realm all on my own. And what do you have? Eight rings? You cannot be pared to my ten rings! All of them connected, creating perfect harmony!"
"We’ll see about that, Deus!" Drake roared. "This time, I wonder how you will handle all of us?! Family, roar!"
"RAAAAHHHH!"
Drake’s family roared, powering up as they quickly returned to their Golden Dragon King Forms. At the same time, the cube where Fuyu, Drake’s brother, and Ruby were trapped shattered under their bined efforts.
Crack, crack...!
CRASH!
"Filthy, disgusting! How dare you all shine as brightly as my light?! Your golden forms are nothing but a mockery of my powers! I will make sure your light is extinguished, for only I can shine as bright as gold—the sole successor to the Ancient Gods, the Guider, Ruler, and God of all Humanity! I am Fortune Deus, Heavenly Venerable of Celestial Providence! AND THIS IS THE POWER OF ALL THE HUMANS YOU’VE TRAMPLED OVER!"
"He really thinks he’s a hero or something?! Can’t he understand how wrong he is?!" Benladann asked desperately.
"He won’t. His own insanity has blinded his reason," Skadi said. "Belle, we’re going together. We’ve practiced plenty of bined techniques. Alone it won’t work as well, and he’s going to beat us down."
"Damn it, Skadi! Do you have to say it like that?!" Belle snapped. "You’re making us feel weak now, and we’re right in front of that bastard!"
"IF YOU TRULY UNDERSTAND YOUR OWN WEAKNESS... THEN PERISH!"
Deus swiftly charged forward, clashing against Drake and his family, while both female Venerables disappeared from his range, forcing him to follow them with his eyes.
This was easily exploited by Drake, who punched his stupid face as hard as he could, over and over, each blow sending shockwaves that pierced his body’s defenses and directly targeted his soul.
"DAMN YOU!"
Deus roared, punching Drake back, then swung his halberd down, slicing through Drake’s neck all the way to his stomach. A blinding explosion of light consumed his insides.
BOOOM!
"GRRRR!"
Drake tanked the attack, roaring furiously as he grabbed Deus’ arm, punched his face, and then unsheathed Muramasa. A dragon made of his Sword Aura surged from it.
"{Immortal Soul Blade Arts}: {Soul-Destroying Roaring Dragon}!"
"ROOOAAARRR!"
The roar of a mighty dragon echoed from Drake’s blade, brutally stabbing Deus’ stomach, legs, and arms with each swing. Every blow released shockwaves of pure concentrated energy, beginning to freeze his foe’s insides and weaken him.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
"ENOUGH!"
Deus charged immense power from his chest, firing it at Drake at near point-blank range, blasting him away with a titanic explosion of golden light, sending him flying as far as possible.
