Now reading: Chapter 28 - 24: Rewards and Interrogation (Double-Length - from Era of Magic and Martial Arts, a Eastern novel by Old tree by the grave.

[Detection: Player has perford actions highly consistent with their identity for the first ti, such as breaking into a shrimpman’s house, looting corpses for coins, and coercing others into illegal acts.]

"???"

Feng Mu’s face was covered in black lines: "MMP, I’m inherently kind; all my actions were forced for self-preservation. System, don’t arbitrarily label ; it’s slander, pure slander."

[Current reward has been issued, congratulations, the reward has been delivered!]

"....."

Feng Mu’s face turned from gloomy to cheerful: "Alright, System, you realized your mistake and provided compensation, which arrived in real-ti. I’ll graciously forgive you."

A Transmigrator’s moral baseline is just that flexible—can’t bla Feng Mu; it’s all the fault of the capitalistic corruption from the previous life.

Feng Mu opened the reward, and a silver exclamation point exploded on his three-dinsional illustration, transforming into—[10,000 points of General Skill Proficiency.]

"Sure enough, rewards that directly affect oneself are delivered in real-ti," Feng Mu thought.

This reward indirectly proves that the last reward was an external item, and the delivery person likely did crash on the way.

It’s a bit like how logistics in the previous life would get stuck on the road for days, making one suspicious if the delivery truck flipped over, if the courier had an accident, if the goods were lost, if my package wouldn’t arrive, would it be compensated?

Thoughts drifted for 5 seconds, and Feng Mu began to research the use of [General Skill Proficiency].

"Having points ans being able to level up, right?"

"10,000 points—whether that’s a lot or a little, I have no idea."

Feng Mu’s gaze focused, pulling down his three-dinsional illustration to reveal a pathetic list of skills.

Universal Skills List:

Basic Boxing (Beginner) [66/100]

Basic Leg Technique (Beginner) [14/100]

Body Forging Exercise (Not Mastered)

The mont Feng Mu’s gaze moved, a " " sign appeared next to Basic Boxing and Basic Leg Technique, while Body Forging Exercise remained blank.

Feng Mu: "....."

So all my effort in doing Body Forging Exercise was just winking at a blind man, huh? Doesn’t Body Forging Exercise have any dignity?

Feng Mu was trembling with cold anger: "So it’s because my stance wasn’t correct, it’s like always rubbing at the entrance without really entering, so no registration?"

But then, Feng Mu thought: "Isn’t it possible that because I never mastered the correct posture, each ti I did Body Forging Exercise, it wore out, leading to fast digestion?"

Because of a defective Root Bone, Body Forging Exercise wasn’t mastered, so each effort was ten tis as sweaty, leading to high consumption, rapid hunger, and skyrocketing Edibility!

The logic seems to form a closed loop, so the conclusion is—Blessed by Deficiencies!!!

"Body Forging Exercise definitely shouldn’t be improved; I must continue training in this flawed state." Feng Mu had an inexplicable pride, thinking, who would’ve thought that even being born flawed has its purpose.

Can’t and won’t spend points on Body Forging Exercise.

So all love must be poured into Basic Boxing and Basic Leg Technique.

Feng Mu silently recited: "Destiny, add points."

The icons blurred for a mont.

Basic Boxing (Interdiate) [1/500]

Basic Leg Technique (Interdiate) [1/500]

[Remaining General Skill Proficiency: 9880]

Out of nowhere, Feng Mu recalled mories of punching practice, extrely precise, smooth moves, each punch and kick seed to use his whole strength.

A weird warm current erged in his limbs, circulating around his fists and feet, massaging for half a minute.

Feng Mu instinctively posed and punched. Suddenly, the original stiff and slow movent beca exceptionally smooth and fluid.

It had the feel of muscles morizing through a thousand repetitions.

Feng Mu followed the feeling and executed a complete set of Basic Boxing, which took less than 5 minutes.

"The movents are more standard; the linkage between moves is smoother. Turns out there are many details to hone in Basic Boxing."

Feng Mu compared it in his mind to his previous practice, which was just "relying on luck rather than skill."

Then he glanced at the skill panel and was stunned.

Basic Boxing (Interdiate) [1/500], the number hadn’t increased?

"I definitely practiced Basic Boxing seriously, but the Skill Proficiency didn’t increase? Is there an issue with the system’s counting?"

Feng Mu pondered for a mont, searched his newly implanted mory of training, and realized with his mouth agape.

In the newly added mory, it wasn’t just 34 routines of Basic Boxing and 86 of Basic Leg Technique. Instead, it was 471 routines of boxing and 1477 routines of leg techniques.

Feng Mu quickly calculated; boxing was multiplied by 13 tis, leg technique by 17 tis.

He ca up with two possible explanations:

"First possibility, Skill Proficiency has a multiplier based on actual practice tis. For Basic Boxing, the multiplier is 13, aning it takes 13 actual punches to translate into 1 point of Skill Proficiency, and an even larger one for leg techniques, 17 tis."

"Second possibility, it’s not about doing 13 rounds of boxing for 1 Skill Proficiency. My mory perfectly averaged achieving standards only once in 13 rounds, aning 12 failures, only 1 success; leg technique even worse, 17 for 1."

Feng Mu leaned towards the first possibility because the second explanation was too terrifying.

If the failure rate in system-given mories was that high, doing it himself would likely be catastrophically frequent.

"It’s probably the first one—so how is this multiplier calculated?"

Feng Mu muttered to himself: "Basic Boxing has hardly any difficulty; it must be related to Root Bone, and with 49 points of Root Bone, it’s 13 rounds to gain 1 Skill Proficiency point."

"The higher the Root Bone, the lower the multiplier, so fewer practice rounds are needed for 1 Skill Proficiency point."
