Standing beside Feng Mu, Guan Chong felt as if he was bathed in brightness, the blazing light reflecting in his eyes.

Feng Mu said calmly, "As per the old rules, pick your own team and bring them all back to ."

Before he finished speaking, the mbers of the Internal Inspection Departnt exchanged a aningful glance, a silent consensus seemingly reached.

Then, they straightened their backs simultaneously and made a deep bow towards Feng Mu in unison.

A re salute wasn’t enough to express their fervent admiration for Feng Mu, so they pressed their heads as close to the ground as possible, nearing Feng Mu’s shoes.

A dozen half-bowed bodies ford a circle, like an evil flower blooming in the darkness, every petal worshiping the Sun at the flower’s core:

"As the Minister commands!!!"

The air grew still, filled with an evil yet sacred ritualistic feeling.

Gong Qi glanced around on behalf of Feng Mu, feeling inexplicably moved, an itch on the back of his neck, and an impulse to bow to his junior brother.

Gong Qi naturally looked down on the strength of these mbers, thinking the Internal Inspection Departnt only needed the three of them, and the rest were re filler.

Yet the atmosphere of the mont made Gong Qi suddenly feel that these people gathering around his junior brother were faintly nurturing a strength that even shook him.

Not simple physical strength, but sothing far more dangerous than force.

Physical strength can only kill a man, but this can make people die for it!!!

Gong Qi swallowed hard, looking at the bowed heads in the circle, feeling they were still weak, weak enough for him alone to kill them all.

But they also seed not so weak, for when they all bowed their heads and he raised his, he felt a pricking sensation on his back.

Though their heads were lowered, Gong Qi felt as though they were each staring hard at him, an extrely eerie thought.

On the outermost circle, Li Bashan, who was dozing at the warehouse entrance, suddenly opened his eyes.

He blankly scanned the scene, his expression calm as water, though his breathing paused montarily, then he whispered softly, inaudibly to himself:

"Is this the power of the Sun?!!

Feng Mu raised his hand slightly, and the group of mbers slowly stood, symbolically taking two steps back before turning to form teams, leaving with a murderous aura.

Gong Qi awkwardly scratched the back of his head, the strange sensation on his spine finally vanishing.

Feng Mu then turned to Gong Qi and spoke warmly:

"The Internal Inspection Departnt is newly established, it’s inevitable to encounter so blind ones, I’ll have to trouble Fifth Brother to look after them for . By the way, was there any issue with Lou Rui’s confession?"

Gong Qi returned the confession to Feng Mu, pondering, then replied with a sigh:

"The confession is reasonable and well-articulated, as Junior Brother said—death is the source of creativity!"

Gong Qi now had to think, his inability to create good scripts and always being a step behind in mysteries—was it because he lacked death as a motivation?

Feng Mu took the confession without even glancing at it, throwing it on the table, fully trusting Gong Qi’s judgnt, which pleased him greatly.

Feng Mu smiled at Gong Qi, "Then I’ll trouble Senior Brother."

"Rest assured, Junior Brother, with here, nobody will destroy your toy."

Gong Qi, in his habitual shadowy tone, said, paused, then hesitantly asked,

"But Senior Brother, once I act, there’s no leaving anyone alive, can the Internal Inspection Departnt handle it?"

Upon hearing this, Feng Mu’s lips curled up into a smile, revealing his neat white teeth:

"Our Internal Inspection Departnt is directly under the warden’s leadership; every step we take is under his instructions; why would we bear it ourselves?"

Gong Qi adored his junior brother’s look, he grinned shadowily with imnse satisfaction:

"If we really et so blind ones, I’ll help you gouge out their eyes, and when you have ti, you can send them to the warden."

Feng Mu bead and gladly accepted Gong Qi’s proposal:

"That would be perfect, as it happens, the warden seems to have taken up a hobby of collecting glass marbles recently."

....

Ma Xuan was held alone in a narrow interrogation room, with no intimidation, torture, or questioning.

The iron chair beneath him gradually ward by his hips, and the empty gray-white walls were all he could see.

He didn’t know how long he had been locked up, but it felt as though a century had passed.

"How long has it been, an hour, two hours, or five or six hours?"

"What exactly is Feng Mu doing, why hasn’t he co for , is he interrogating Lou Rui, what is Lou Rui confessing now, no, it’s more about what Feng Mu will make him confess?"

"The riot in Death Row traced back to our Light Supervision Area, is this Feng Mu’s own decision or the warden’s directive?"

Ma Xuan was a smart man, and smart n tend to overthink, especially when ignored, his imagination weaving a suspenseful thriller in his mind.

He tried to analyze the situation from every angle but found it increasingly complicated, his anxiety growing ever stronger.

Ma Xuan knew that his wild thoughts wouldn’t help, but couldn’t stifle his hyperactive mind, much like he couldn’t stop the itch from his rear contact with the chair.

The iron door screeched against the floor, a figure opened the door, light from outside casting on his back, stretching his shadow long into the room.

Ma Xuan looked at the newcor, light and shadow interplaying as the figure approached, gently placing a hemp rope in Ma Xuan’s hand.

"Hemp rope?" Ma Xuan’s voice held a faint note of perplexity, his fingers instinctively feeling the rough texture.

He looked up, seeing a calm and gentle smile, but the words uttered from those lips were like ghost stories in the night breeze, each word sending chills down his spine.

"Lou Rui is dead!"

"Just had his neck strangled by this hemp rope."

"You were the one who strangled him!"

Ma Xuan’s face changed drastically, his eyes contracting sharply, looking down at the hemp rope in his hand, seeing tiny bits of skin and dark red stains in the gaps.

His hand, like receiving an electric shock, flung the hemp rope to the ground.

He gritted his teeth, forcing words through them: "Despicable ans of slander."

Feng Mu crouched slowly, calmly picking up the hemp rope, placing it into a transparent evidence bag.

It was only then Ma Xuan noticed Feng Mu wore plastic gloves, appearing starkly white under the light.
