Feng Yuhuai raised her hand and slowly tucked the long hair falling beside her cheek behind her ear, her eyes slightly red.
She ca next to Cuicui, sat down gently, turned her face to observe Cuicui, and reached out to hold her wrist.
Her fingers were long and fair, nails smooth like fine porcelain. By chance, they brushed against Li You’s hand, the touch cold as frost, lightly, yet like a needle piercing Li You’s nerve.
Li You’s jaw instantly tightened, hairs standing on end, dense goosebumps uncontrollably erged on her skin.
Her teeth were clenched tightly, enduring that nauseating sense of oppression, yet unable to prevent the tightly grasped mory in her mind from resurfacing — beneath that human skin, those three hideous heads, twisted together under the light.

Feng Yuhuai looked into Cuicui’s eyes, sincerely explaining:

Think about it, if we were caught, what would happen to Xiaojuan? She is waiting for us."
Her words like a calming pill landed in Cuicui’s heart, instantly soothing her out-of-control emotions a little.
Cuicui lowered her eyelids, her tightly pursed lips relaxed a bit, seemingly ashad of her earlier emotional outburst, she spoke quietly, her tone carrying guilt and unease:

Li You lowered her eyes, forcing a smile on her face.
Understanding the monster close at hand, adept at disguise and manipulating hearts, yet witnessing again Feng Yuhuai’s easy-going tenderness and hypocrisy, she could not help the chill in her heart.
"All along, everyone was deceived by Feng Yuhuai’s facade, Xiaojuan and Yazhi likely were thus lured and devoured by Feng Yuhuai, even I myself used to treat her as my closest friend."
Li You was chilled to the bone, palm already a layer of cold sweat, yet she did not withdraw her hand.
She could not let Feng Yuhuai detect any anomaly, even if her mind was full to bursting with those three heads beneath the human skin.
And, Feng Yuhuai definitely wasn’t lying at this mont, she spoke wholeheartedly, after all, if her roommate was really locked up by the Patrol Office, she wouldn’t dare go there to have a late-night al, even if her dad, Feng Ju, was the captain of the Patrol Office.
Feng Yuhuai habitually licked her lips, then changed the topic:
"Though the Patrol Office isn’t trustworthy, we must still file a report. The more people help us, the sooner we can find Xiaojuan."
