Now reading: Chapter 418 - 402: Evil Sacrifice Never Deceives Evil Sacrif from Era of Magic and Martial Arts, a Eastern novel by Old tree by the grave.

Technology is the greatest nesis of the Evil Sacrifice or secrecy, and this statent is equally valid in reverse.

The Master of Ceremonies slowly closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, his pupils had returned to their normal black and white color.

He bit off the remaining half of the popsicle in his mouth and said in a sinister tone:

"Evil Sacrifice can deceive technology, but Evil Sacrifice does not deceive Evil Sacrifice."

The communication channel was dead silent, with only the faint crackle of static echoing back.

Red Dragonfly’s tongue gently flicked, rolling the straw into her mouth.

In the next second, under the surprised gaze of the onlookers around, she spat the straw back out, now coated with her saliva and glistening eerily in the sunlight.

The Wild Beast’s breath grew heavy, and the manhole cover under his feet cracked silently.

He quickly withdrew his strength, moving his leg aside, as the rats beneath the cover let out terrified squeals.

After a mont, the voice of the bald captain reverberated in the communication channel, carrying a hint of gravity: "Are you sure it’s an Evil Sacrifice?"

The bald captain hadn’t entered the campus, because his attire of a bald head, an old man’s undershirt, and slippers was too damaging to the Eighth Academy’s image, and the responsible security guard at the gate stopped him.

He didn’t get angry, and cooperatively stayed outside the campus.

At this mont, the bald man was sitting boldly by the roadside under a locust tree, using his nails to pick at the at stuck between his teeth.

The at was dark red, as if it had been torn from so creature.

While munching on the crushed popsicle, the Master of Ceremonies answered:

"Yes, although, strictly speaking, I’m not the sa type as the Evil Sacrifice, this eye of mine is. It was plucked from the Evil Sacrifice and implanted in my body in the laboratory, so..."

The Master of Ceremonies paused, his eyeballs rolling:

"I’m certain, the scene I see is definitely highly related to the Evil Sacrifice. That concentration of almost half-body grotesqueness is definitely not just a simple Evil Sacrifice implant or modification."

Team 103 mbers had an extraordinary trust in each other; they completely trusted the eye of the Master of Ceremonies. Even before he finished speaking, the judgnt had already surfaced in their hearts.

The bald man rasped out a few words:

"A parasitic entity of the Evil Sacrifice?!!"

The bald man, or rather Team 103, certainly hoped it was the main body of the Evil Sacrifice, but they knew it was unrealistic. If the main body of the Evil Sacrifice were to truly descend, the entire Zone 9 would be a wasteland. At least, all living people on this campus should have been devoured or converted.

The Master of Ceremonies spit out the chewed popsicle stick, lanting:

"Too bad it’s not the main body of the Evil Sacrifice, just a parasitic entity, otherwise..."

Red Dragonfly mockingly interrupted: "Otherwise, just by peeking at it, we’d all have died neatly right here today."

The Wild Beast’s heavy breathing: "But if we found a hidden main body of the Evil Sacrifice, transmitting the information back before dying would be Destiny’s gift to us."

The bald man had a look of longing in his eyes, and after a mont, he said quietly:

"Forget it, being able to encounter the main body of the Evil Sacrifice ans being favored exceptionally by Destiny. Our Team 103 doesn’t qualify yet, we still have to keep working hard."

His voice carried a touch of yearning and fullness of expectation, as if he admired certain stories of so big shots striving in their organization.

Pausing for a mont, the bald man coughed, his voice becoming serious:

"According to the operation protocol, discovering a parasitic entity of the Evil Sacrifice requires imdiate capture and transport to the nearest disassembly laboratory outpost. So where’s the nearest outpost to us?"

The communication channel fell silent for a mont.

After a while, Red Dragonfly’s tongue slightly trembled, emitting sound waves undetectable by common people.

She also served as a liaison in Team 103, and her tongue was the best "encrypted satellite phone."

"Lower City is a place abandoned by Destiny,"

Her voice carried a hint of resignation,

"It only returned under Destiny’s gaze recently. So, there should be no outpost of ours in Zone 9 yet. Perhaps one is being secretly built, but my [map] hasn’t updated."

The Wild Beast looked up at the gloomy sky, his voice deep: "So the nearest outpost would be to return to Upper City. But after [Sky Collapse], most passages between Upper and Lower City have been destroyed by the Adjudicator. The remaining passages are heavily guarded."

His voice carried a trace of irritation: "We might be able to smuggle ourselves over, but bringing a parasitic entity of the Evil Sacrifice would be walking right into a trap."

The bald man’s brow furrowed deeply, his voice hoarse:

"When I ca down, I received a notice. There is indeed an outpost of ours under construction in Zone 9. Once it’s completed, we should be assigned into it nearby."

"It’s just that the confidentiality level of [Online] is very high, and they haven’t contacted us yet."

The Wild Beast’s eyes flashed with savagery, and he growled harshly: "Then we’ll just have to cut through a path. Red Dragonfly and I will follow the captain in a suicide charge, creating chaos. Then, Master of Ceremonies, you find a way to ship the parasitic entity upward."

The bald captain didn’t ponder for too long, saying: "Agreed."

Red Dragonfly threw away the straw, tore off the milk tea lid, gulped down the drink, leaving milk stains at the corner of her mouth, yet her smile was alluringly terrifying:

"Agreed."

From their expressions and the tone in the communication, it seed not like they were discussing a suicide charge, but like discussing what to eat for dinner, the madness underneath the calm was chilling.

The Upper City Council categorizes [Destiny] as an SSS-level evil terrorist organization, and that’s no exaggeration, not alarmist talk. In fact, it’s putting it lightly.

Destiny’s threat level evaluation system in Upper City gets an SSS rating not because it can only score SSS, but because the evaluation system’s highest score is only SSS.

This already is a cliff lead, and knowing the second-ranked evil terrorist organization scored only 617 points, receiving an SS- rating.

Hmm, the full score is 750 points.

The Upper City Council hadn’t considered crafting a more difficult and harmful evaluation paper for [Destiny], but the proposal t with considerable sabotage and obstruction from nurous evil organizations, and many key mbers in the Upper City Council were also vehently opposed.

They just couldn’t afford the embarrassnt.

The Master of Ceremonies interrupted the teammates’ discussion, speaking in a deep voice:

"Wait a mont, the target is not an ordinary parasitic entity."

Red Dragonfly disdainfully curled her lips, her tongue trembling even more vigorously:

"You don’t think we can’t handle her, do you?"

The Master of Ceremonies took a deep breath, and even through the communication, the teammates could hear his voice, filled with a morbid danger as if in a state of ecstasy:

"No, what I an is, she’s been modified by the Evil Sacrifice too perfectly."

His voice carried a slight tremble, as if suppressing a kind of extre excitent:

"She’s very suitable for the Evil Sacrifice’s main body to descend, except her strength is not enough, and her body’s toughness isn’t sturdy enough to withstand it."

The Master of Ceremonies’ tone grew deeply sinister, each word seed squeezed from between his teeth:

"Such an almost flawless host body, I can’t imagine the Evil Sacrifice parasitizing her wouldn’t be tempted. Even, perhaps, the Evil Sacrifice’s gaze is already cast upon her from ti to ti, watching her every growth, every breath."

The Master of Ceremonies greedily swallowed, his eyes slightly glazing white:

"So, what I an is...."
