The TV screen was smashed by a large hand, the cracked screen went half dark, the broadcaster’s delicate face and subtitles shattered into twisted shapes together.

"The sa old clichés every day, I’m about to puke from hearing them." Hong Hu shook off the fragnts from his hand, his tone exasperated.

A woman next to him with suture scars on half of her face frowned, saying: "Are you nervous and scared?"

The remaining five mbers instinctively straightened up when the woman spoke.

Hong Hu shook his head in denial: "I’m not afraid."

The woman’s tone was indifferent: "It’s okay, fear and anxiety in the face of death are physiological instinctive reactions, there’s no need to hide or escape them, but our corpses after death will ultimately pave the way to the sky."

Hong Hu and a few extrely evil mbers exchanged glances, a fervor erged in their eyes, they stood up simultaneously, right fist on their hearts: "For Destiny, offer death!"

The woman turned her head, looking towards the curtains, a hint of fierceness flickered in her eyes, she said coldly: "For the receiver to collect more smoothly after our death, we must drag so down with us before we go."

The extrely evil mbers nodded silently, collectively taking out their weapons to make the final preparations.

Suddenly, Hong Hu, unable to suppress his curiosity, asked: "Big Sister, since we’re all going to die anyway, can you tell who the receiver is, and what the goods are?"

The Big Sister stared intently at Hong Hu, looking at the youthful appearance still lingering on his face.

She grinned slightly, her necrotic facial muscles twitching at the corner of her mouth, the scar wriggling like a centipede, appearing horrifying and hideous.

Hong Hu scratched his head a bit fearfully: "Big Sister, I was wrong, I won’t ask anymore."

The Big Sister didn’t chastise him, instead said gently: "It’s precisely because we all are going to die, we don’t need to know the answer."

The room fell into a silence, the hourglass of death hung over everyone’s head.

"They’re here!"

A mber sitting by the window pulled open a corner of the curtain, peeking at the entrance of the community.

A large number of Investigation Corps mbers in ink-blue uniforms ca into view, quickly dispersing to block all exits, even the street food area was cleared and sealed off.

Four strange instrunts were placed symtrically in the community, forming a square.

The next mont, pitch-black laser beams shot out, aid directly at the base of the Upper City.

The massive base of the Upper City, receiving the lasers from the ground, among the colorful and dazzling lights, four of the lights flickered twice, silently turning to ink-black.

Then, the ink-black beams descended vertically, expanding into a square in mid-air like an infinitely high black box, falling from the Upper City, precisely covering the old and run-down community.

The Big Sister lowered her head, using her phone to send a pre-edited ssage to an unmarked number.

——Team 117, request to go offline!

No reply ca, for the infinitely high black box had already enveloped the entire community at light speed, turning it into a blackout zone, a dead land that isolated all peering and signal transmission...

The Big Sister, watching the signal bars on the phone turn to X, unflinchingly pulled out the SIM card, crushing it into fragnts with her fingers.

The soundproofing of the old and run-down community was not very good.

Soon, exclamations could be heard upstairs and downstairs, followed by residents opening windows to shout outside.

"What’s going on?"

"Is Upper City shutting down the lights so early today?"

"Why is there no signal?"

"Hey, everyone, look, our community is covered by a black box, what is going on, can soone co out and explain, this feels a little scary."

"I can’t see outside the cover, wait, soone’s coming in, looks like the Investigation Corps, they’re all carrying guns."

Two minutes passed.

Those with a more impatient disposition rushed out of the building entrance, gathering in the courtyard, daringly using mobile phone flashlights as light sources, walking towards the exit of the community.

Most windows in the buildings were opened, people peeking out, converging all their gaze there.

Click.

The sound of gun bolts being pulled, uniform and orderly.

Without even a single communication or response, what greeted them was a torrential rain of bullets, and in the blink of an eye, the ground was stained with crisscrossing streaks of blood.

The phones fallen to the ground cast pinhole-riddled shadows of bodies, in dark red hues.

Without operation, the phones quickly turned off, darkness swallowing the bodies.

With a sudden flare and cessation, the rain of bullets seed to have silenced the entire community, like the mute button had been pressed, countless throats were clogged, losing all sound.
