Esper Harem in the Apocalypse Chapter 1061: Second Coming

Rudy, Rebecca, Jessica, Eric, Eleanor, and Yelena made their way into the restaurant and sat at their reserved table. But since the number of people had increased, Eleanor told the staff to give them a private dining room instead.

Unfortunately, all were booked, but since Eleanor owned the place, she canceled the reservation and booked it for herself.

The dining room of the restaurant was very elegant. When they walked in, they were welcod by soft, warm lights that made the room look golden. The tables were set perfectly with white tablecloths, shiny silverware, and sparkling crystal glasses. Comfortable chairs in rich colors made the room feel luxurious, and fresh flowers added a pleasant touch.

Enormous windows on one side of the room gave a clear view of the city skyline at night. The city lights were bright and beautiful against the dark sky. Tall buildings with lights looked like shining towers. So buildings were modern with lots of glass, and others were old and charming. The lights from the buildings reflected in the nearby river, making the water shimr.

Far away, they could see hills and a bridge with lights. The bridge's lights made its shape clear against the night sky. The view was like a beautiful, changing picture of light and shadow, making the dining experience magical. The elegant dining room and the amazing city view together created a perfect setting for a special evening.

"This is one of our VIP rooms," Eleanor revealed. "We don't reserve this place for anyone unless they hold a special status. Like a well-known hero or a celebrity."

"I have been here before," Jessica inford with a smile on her face.

Eleanor turned her attention from Rudy and glanced at Jessica. "You ca with Erika, right?"

"Yup. The night view is outstanding, but the day view is… uhmm…" Jessica scratched her head. "Like… it's not bad, but it becos too bright!"

"Yeah, I received the feedback. We were actually planning on installing a different glass, but we had to et the city regulations. After the apocalypse ended, we applied for the new set and got it changed."

Eric handed a tablet to Rudy and asked him to add what he wanted to eat. Eric had already added his dishes, so after adding the dishes, Rudy passed the tablet to Jessica, who did the sa.

The girls began talking while Rudy and Eric felt bored. They couldn't talk about the topics they usually talked about, and they didn't want to start a second conversation while the girls were already busy talking.

A second later, Rudy's phone chid, so he checked and saw Eric's text.

'Why is he texting when he is sleeping next to ?' Rudy wondered and opened Eric's ssage.

[I have to drop Jessica to her—] Rudy stopped and corrected his ssage. [I have to drop Aunt Jessica.]

[Mom will do that.]

"...." Rudy hovered his thumb above the keyboard, contemplating on what he should reply. He had promised Jessica that she could sit beside him when they returned.

[Mom, Aunt Yelena, Aunt Rebecca, and Aunt Jessica will go in their car.]

[We will go in a different car.] Eric added to his last text.

[Okay. What happened, though?] Rudy asked as he glanced at Eric and saw him typing.

[Can't say it like this.]

A few minutes later, the food began to arrive one by one. There were a few dishes that could take long to be made, so instead of making them wait equally, Eleanor told them to bring the dishes that were ready to be served.

By the ti they finished one dish, the other dish would arrive, so their waiting ti was negligible.

While eating, Rudy couldn't forget about what he had recalled when he had seen Eleanor at the entrance of the restaurant. He glanced at her once again while eating and imdiately averted his gaze when Eleanor caught him looking at her.
