Triss couldn't believe what she had just heard. Surely, she had misheard what Rudy said, but that was not the case.
She frowned her face and asked, "What's the aning of this?"
"I ant what I said." Rudy responded with a composed look on his face.
"Are you testing my limits?!" Triss slamd her hand on the table that cracked a bit on the impact. The fries from the plate flew in the air, but before they could fall on the ground, Rudy used his telekinesis and placed all the fries back in to the plate.
"My intention was not to provoke you."
"Oh, yeah?! What was it then? What you just said can easily be considered as harassnt!"
Rudy let out a short sigh and muttered, but loud enough to be audible. "It could have been harassnt if I had forced you to do it. I am not threatening you or begging you. I am simply asking you for a fun challenge."
"..." Triss listened attentively as Rudy explained.
"I already stated what I want if I win. You can have whatever you want if you win. Of course, I won't be forcing you to accept my challenge. Nor will I make childish remarks such as 'Are you scared that you will lose?' to provoke you into accepting my challenge. Of course, you are mature enough to take responsibility for your actions."
"..."
"Oh! And if you have a lover or sothing, then this challenge is invalid."
Triss was curious after listening to Rudy. She asked, "What if I don't accept your challenge and simply inform the officials as I intended?"
"They will never be able to find ." Rudy responded with a shoulder shrug.
"I don't understand. What will you gain from this? No matter how you look at it, I will be at an advantage if I don't accept your challenge." Triss asked with a confused yet curious look on her face.
"Well, you could be at 'more' advantage if you demand sothing as a winning a prize for the challenge."
"I have everything one could ever want. Superpower. Money. And fa. What else do I need?"
"I could help you get what you want. I can fulfill your dream."
"My dream?" Triss chuckled and spread her arms as she glanced around. "Look around you. I am living in my dream!"
"You were ridiculed for not possessing any skills and magic, yet you proved them wrong and beca the top 5th hero in the entire world. If you had magic, you would have undoubtedly beco the strongest hero of humanity."
"Are you saying that you know a way to—"
Rudy interrupted Triss before she could finish what she wanted to say.
"No." he shook his head. "Even if I can make you able to use magic, I won't. Your dream will beco hollow. I will make you the strongest hero of humanity with 'your' power only. With speed and strength."
"I don't understand. How can soone do that? No, even if you can do that— shouldn't you already be more powerful than to do that?"
"That's what I have been saying. I am better than you."
' Can I even believe what he is saying? He could be lying!' Triss wondered.
Triss squinted her eyes at Rudy and, with a judging look on her face, she asked, "How would I be the 'strongest' hero of humanity, then? Wouldn't that be you?"
"I am not a hero, so don't worry about it."
Triss' eyes widened as she heard that. "You are awakened but not a … hero…!" She gasped. "You are not registered?! That's the biggest cri a human can commit!"
Rudy was already aware of the risk of revealing his secret, but he had to do that to gain Triss' trust. And his plan worked efficiently.
'Who is he and why is he telling all this?' Triss asked herself. 'He is willing to take such a risk… but why…?'
Triss pondered for a mont to think of a possibility.
"Wait… could it be that you are in love with ? Which is why you want to have sex with ?" Although hesitant, Triss asked what ca to her mind. She eagerly waited for Rudy's reply, wondering how he might react.
"Hell no!" He refuted nonchalantly. "I wouldn't take such an approach if that was the case. I have only seen you once in the photo and this is the second ti. Sure, you look better than you did in the photo, but that might be because you were twenty-one in that picture and you are now twenty-six."
"Then why do you want to fuck ?"
"I don't know. I just feel like we are compatible. I usually don't take such an approach, so even I am confused why I am acting like this." he sighed inwardly and thought, 'Yeah, what's happening? Is it because of my super libido that makes lose my rationality like this? I feel attracted towards her, but I can't tell what it is."
Suddenly, Rudy snapped his finger and the chair Triss was sitting on broke into pieces, making her fall to the floor.
"Don't move!" A few dozen ard officers entered the room. They were carrying advanced weapons and suits.
Triss had managed to not fall and regained her stance.
"How dare you enter my property like this?!" She frowned at them.
One of them stepped forward as his mask ca off.
"You were tasked to capture that criminal."
'This is bad! I didn't expect them to barge in like this. I don't care what happens to that kid, but they saw casually sitting with him. It is going to be a pain in the ass to handle the situation.'
Triss was panicking. She was caught by the highest ranking officials in a situation that looked as if Rudy was her accomplice.
'As long as that kid doesn't open his mouth, I can get us both out of this.'
Triss glanced at Rudy to signal him to cooperate with her. However, much to her surprise, Rudy wasn't there.
In fact, the entire restaurant was in shambles, as if a huge fight had broken out inside.
