"Ahead of you," Rudy teased, though his grin faltered as the ground beneath them began to tremble again.
A loud, chanical voice bood through the portal, echoing like a death knell:
WARNING: TWO OF THREE BOSSES ELIMINATED. MONSTERS ENTERING FRENZY STATE. EVOLUTION IMMINENT.
The air grew thick with tension as the remaining monsters began to writhe and convulse. Their bodies twisted and expanded, their ranks shifting upward in real ti. C-rank monsters beca B-rank. B-rank beca A-rank. The once-manageable horde was now a tidal wave of evolved threats.
"You've got to be kidding ," Triss muttered, her gauntlet sparking as she braced herself.
Rudy cracked his knuckles, his expression serious for the first ti since they'd entered the portal. "This just got interesting."
Before they could react, the chanical voice spoke again, its tone colder and more foreboding:
WARNING: FINAL BOSS SPAWN DETECTED. LOCATION: HERO ENCAMPNT.
Rudy and Triss exchanged a glance, their rivalry montarily forgotten.
"The other heroes…" Triss said, her voice tight with concern.
A deafening roar echoed through the portal, shaking the very fabric of reality. The ground split open in the distance, and a massive silhouette erged—a towering, grotesque figure wreathed in black flas. Its presence alone was suffocating, its aura radiating pure, unrelenting malice.
WARNING: GOD-RANK BOSS DETECTED. DESIGNATION: "ABYSSAL TITAN."
"God-rank…?" Rudy muttered, his eyes narrowing. "The fuck?"
"That's not supposed to exist."
The encampnt was a ss. Heroes were scrambling everywhere, weapons out, spells flying. The Abyssal Titan stood in the middle of it all, towering over them like a nightmare. Its black flas burned the air, and its eyes glowed with sothing that made everyone's skin crawl.
"Hit it together!" an SS-rank hero yelled, his voice barely cutting through the Titan's roar.
They attacked—blades, spells, everything they had. The air lit up with explosions and energy blasts, all aid at the Titan.
When the smoke cleared, the Titan didn't even have a scratch. It just stood there, its flas flickering like it was laughing at them.
"What the hell?!" soone shouted.
The Titan raised its arm, slow and heavy, like it was enjoying this. Then it swung.
Black fire exploded across the ground, swallowing everything in its path. Eight heroes—gone. Just like that. No screams, no last words. Just ash.
The rest froze. So tried to run, but the Titan's presence was like a weight pressing down on them. They couldn't move.
"Fall back!" soone yelled, but it was useless.
The Titan raised its arm again, higher this ti. The air felt like it was cracking, and the ground started to break apart. Whatever it was about to do, it was going to be worse.
"Is this it?" one of the heroes muttered, his voice shaking.
The Titan's arm ca down.
Then—
A blur shot across the battlefield. The ground shook as Rudy landed between the heroes and the Titan, his fist slamming into the ground. A shockwave ripped through the air, scattering the Titan's flas like they were nothing.
The heroes stared, too stunned to speak.
Rudy stood up, brushing dirt off his hands. "You guys really suck at this," he said, his voice calm but sharp.
The Titan roared, its flas surging as it turned its full attention to Rudy.
Rudy cracked his knuckles and smirked. "Alright, big guy. Let's see what you've got."
Rudy stood in front of the Abyssal Titan, his hands in his pockets like he didn't have a care in the world. The Titan's black flas roared around it, but Rudy just smirked.
"Seriously?" Rudy said, tilting his head. "This is what they call a God-rank? You're not even scary. The other two bosses looked way more intimidating. At least they had style."
The Titan's glowing eyes narrowed, its flas flickering like it was annoyed.
Rudy shrugged. "I an, co on. You're just a big, flaming rock. What's so godly about that?"
The heroes behind him stared, too shocked to even move. Was he really mocking a God-rank boss right now?
Then, sothing unexpected happened.
The Titan spoke.
Its voice was deep, rumbling like an earthquake, but clear enough to send chills down everyone's spine.
"You… are a la imposter," it said, each word dripping with disdain.
Rudy froze, his smirk fading. "Wait, what?"
The Titan leaned forward, its glowing eyes boring into him. "You pretend to be sothing you're not. A fraud. A joke."
Rudy blinked, genuinely confused. "What are you talking about? I'm not pretending anything."
The Titan's flas flared, its voice growing louder. "You wear the face of power, but you are hollow. A shadow of what you claim to be."
Rudy's expression darkened. "Okay, now you're just pissing off."
The heroes behind him exchanged nervous glances. What was the Titan talking about? And why did Rudy look so… unsettled?
The Titan swung its massive arm, black flas trailing behind it like a cot. Rudy dodged, his movents so fast he was almost a blur. The ground where he'd been standing exploded, leaving a crater of molten rock.
"Not bad," Rudy said, landing a few feet away. "But you're still slow."
The Titan roared, its flas surging as it charged. Rudy didn't flinch. He t it head-on, his fist slamming into the Titan's chest with a crack that echoed through the portal. The Titan staggered, but it didn't fall.
Rudy grinned. "Okay, you're tougher than you look."
The Titan swung again, its fist moving like a freight train. Rudy ducked under it, delivering a series of rapid punches to its side. Each hit landed with enough force to shatter mountains, but the Titan barely flinched.
"Seriously?" Rudy muttered, dodging another swing. "What are you made of?"
The Titan's flas flared, and it unleashed a wave of black fire. Rudy crossed his arms in front of him, the flas washing over him like a tidal wave. When it cleared, he was still standing, his clothes singed but his expression calm.
"That's all you got?" he said, brushing ash off his shoulder.
The Titan's eyes glowed brighter, and it raised both arms, the ground beneath it cracking and crumbling. The air grew heavy, and the flas around it intensified, turning from black to a deep, blood-red.
Rudy's smirk faded. "Alright, now you're just showing off."
The Titan brought its arms down, and the ground erupted in a massive explosion of red flas. The heroes behind Rudy shielded their eyes, the heat so intense it felt like the air itself was on fire.
When the flas cleared, Rudy was gone.
The Titan paused, its glowing eyes scanning the battlefield.
Then—
Rudy appeared above it, his fist glowing with energy. He brought it down like a hamr, slamming into the Titan's head with enough force to crack the ground for miles. The Titan's knees buckled, and it let out a roar of pain.
"Not so tough now, huh?" Rudy said, landing in front of it.
The Titan swung wildly, but Rudy dodged every attack, his movents precise and effortless. He countered with a kick to the Titan's chest, sending it flying into a nearby rock formation. The rocks crumbled on impact, burying the Titan under tons of debris.
For a mont, everything was still.
Then the debris exploded, the Titan erging with a roar. Its flas were weaker now, its movents slower, but it wasn't done yet.
Rudy cracked his knuckles. "Ti to end this."
He charged, his speed unmatched. The Titan swung, but Rudy ducked under it, driving his fist into its chest. The impact shattered its armor, sending cracks radiating through its body.
The Titan roared, its flas flickering as it tried to fight back. But Rudy didn't give it a chance. He delivered a final, devastating punch to its core, the force of the blow ripping through its body like a cannonball.
The Titan froze, its flas dying out as its body began to crumble. It let out one last, guttural roar before collapsing into a pile of ash and molten rock.
Rudy stood over the remains, breathing heavily but unhard. "Told you," he said, brushing dirt off his hands.
The heroes behind him stared in stunned silence. Did he really just take down a God-rank boss… alone?
The scoreboard flickered above them, updating the numbers:

Suddenly, Rudy had a vision and he saw the sa veiled woman he had seen in his vision before when fought the goblins in the forest.
And then, he heard a voice of the veiled woman.
