The world cheered for Alex.

50 million eyes were concentrated on Alex at that moment, who stood in the middle of the stage, basking in all of his glory. The millions of people stood from their seats and clapped in unison, and the symphony of their claps and cheers lasted for minutes.

This was what he had fought for all this time. This was what the past 100 years were for.

The tournament had e to an end, and he had won it.

Aethersage walked over from the side and made a formal gesture as he bowed. "Congratulations on your victory, Brother Dawnblade. I am honored to be defeated by someone like you."

Alex smiled. "It might not mean much ing from me, but congratulations on your achievement too. You beat exactly 100 alchemists to get here."

Aethersage smiled.

The cheers continued for a while before the Alchemy God descended from the sky. He landed before the two alchemists, his face seemingly stuck in a grin he had been holding for a long time.

"You two have done something incredible," the Alchemy God said. "I am proud to have both of you participate in my petition."

"We are grateful to be given the chance, Your Majesty," Alex said, and was about to bow when he felt his body freeze.

The Alchemy God slowly shook his head. "Today is your day. Today, you bow to no one." He then walked over to Alex and held his hand, raising it high into the air. Then, he turned toward the world.

"Here you go, the winner of my Grand Alchemy Convergence, Alchemist Dawnblade!"

Fireworks exploded in the sky, bright enough to darken the rest of the sky. Dragons and phoenixes formed in the sky from those fireworks, roaming around the stadium, leaving behind thousands of sparks that rained all around the city.

The environment around the city became festive as more fireworks started appearing all around. Colors blossomed in the sky, raining down as well. Thousands of paper lanterns flew around, each one with the inscription 'Victory' on it.

Alex found it difficult to react to all of that fanfare. All he could do was just stand around and watch as it all happened.

Silvermist and the rest had been allowed to walk onto the stage at some point, and they came running toward Alex.

Silvermist reached him first and grabbed him in a tight hug while laughing loud enough to tear Alex's eardrums.

"I never doubted you once, my boy!" he shouted. "You have made me the proudest master anyone could ask for."

"Brother!" Both Whisker and Pearl hugged him next, very much excited by what their brother had managed to achieve. His would be a name that would stay in the words of many people for the foreseeable future.

Momo hugged him next. "Congratulations on the victory, Master. And on learning that new Dao."

"I… thank you."

Grimsight placed a hand on his shoulder. "Congratulations, young man. I never imagined this is where you would be when I first saw you 120 years ago. After learning about your talent, I had set my expectations quite high. And somehow, you have far surpassed them."

Alex couldn't help but smile. "Your praise means a lot to me, Senior Grimsight."

"It is not praise. Simply a fact," Grimsight said. "Also, you've made your master quite rich today. He ended up betting a lot on you."

"Oh! Right, my money," Silvermist said. "I will go get it later."

"How much did you bet on me, Master?" Alex asked.

Silvermist proudly answered, "15 thousand Divine Spirit stones."

It took Alex a moment to take in the number. "15… thousand?" he asked in shock. His mind calculated a number on its own, which he failed to believe.

150 million Immortal Spirit stones. That was how much Silvermist had bet on Alex. That was so much fortune that Alex had never seen before. That was more money than what the Blue Silk Sect itself had spent on Alex to purchase the several tickets for him to go find his family.

Alex himself only had around 5 million Immortal Spirit stones at the moment. And Silvermist had so easily bet 30 times that in one petition. That made Alex quite curious now.

How much had he won in the end?

More people began appearing on stage as individuals were slowly allowed to e on top.

The Alchemy God walked over to Alex before anyone else could e to him and whispered something to him before leaving.

Silvermist raised an eyebrow. "What did he say?"

"The various gods wish to meet me," Alex said. "But after this is over. They don't want to e out here with so many people present."

Silvermist's eyes widened slightly. "All the gods?" he asked. "I don't think I have seen more than three gods in one place before. Even during war, they were hard to notice."

"Each god will want to make an acquaintance of you," Grimsight said. "We will go visit them after all of this ceremony is over."

Alex nodded.

Wineweed appeared before Alex next, but Silvermist stepped between them. "Don't do anything stupid just because your disciple lost," Silvermist said.

Wineweed gritted his teeth. "I am not a petty man like you to do such a thing. I came to give my congratulations to the winner."

"He's heard it. Now move away."

Alex pulled back his master and smiled toward Wineweed. "Thank you, Senior Wineweed."

Wineweed nodded. "Good. At least you have better manners than your master."

"I have manners. I just don't have them for you."

"I'm not talking to you anymore," Wineweed shouted and walked away.

Firestar appeared next, along with Jai Heiyun, Riveroak, and Thousandleaf, who congratulated him as well. Leafheart appeared with her master, Pinklily, and congratulated him too.

Goldgrass, Palesilver, Treegold, Reverend Mo Duguan, Faithseeker, and several other people arrived one after another to congratulate him.

Alex spoke with all of them, slowly getting overwhelmed by the number of people who wished to congratulate him.

His only relief from it all arrived when it was time for the award ceremony.
