Alex ca to a decision the very next day.
In a year's ti, he would leave the shop to start cultivating without any distractions. Everything he needed out of this continent and his work, he had already achieved. Everything else he wanted, he could only gain by focusing on his cultivation and breaking through as many realms as he could.
So, he made the announcent to the people who were waiting for him to make pills for them.
For the next year, he would make a total of 360 pills, one each day. The responsibility for bringing the ingredients would be on them, and Alex would only guarantee that their harmony would be over 98%.
This created a craze where people went out of their way to try and get an appointnt with Alex to make the best pill that they could. Alex ntioned that he would start in a week's ti, so they had plenty of ti to prepare.
Silvermist and Grimsight appeared the next day. "Have you made a decision yet?" Silvermist asked as soon as he entered.
"I have not, senior," Alex said.
"What? Why not?" Silvermist asked, rather emotive about his feelings.
"Because it's too big an ask," Alex explained. "I need to make about sothing that is very important to ."
"Important enough to miss out on the greatest event you'll be taking part in as an Alchemist?" Silvermist asked.
"Yes," Alex said. "Very, very important."
The man paused. "But you're still considering it?" he asked.
Alex nodded. The man thought for a mont and nodded. "Alright, I'll give you so more ti. Use it well and give an answer. If not you, I'll have to find soone else to take with . I do hope you accept."
Silvermist left just as quickly as he had co. His departure left Alex with the sa feeling he had had for the last 24 hours. What was the right decision to make in this situation?
The Alchemy tournant was no doubt very important. Not only was the tournant itself one of the best that could take place, but it also took place in the dicine World. That was a place he was ant to go no matter what.
With it being the Alchemy God's ho world, he wanted to visit it and see what he could. He wanted to learn more about the Alchemy god, see what sort of person he was, and what made him the god.
He also wanted to check out the new Alchemy God. Given how early on the real Alchemy God had died, Alex was sure the current one was at least the third one. There had been one in between the Godslayer had killed. Alex rembered him ntioning that.
Everything surrounding this world and events and people made Alex the most curious he had been in a long ti.
On the other hand, the thing he would be skipping out on it all if he did, would be to find his family. The sooner he could go to the Sky God's palace would be the sooner he would find them.
He had no idea if his parents, Ronron, and the rest had made it to the Sky God's palace yet. They could very well be holed up in so world, scared to leave as they would be noticed by so great cultivator group waiting to find Senior Yang and take the treasures from him.
If that was the case, the sooner he reached the Sky God's palace, the sooner he could find the Sky God and ask her help in finding his family, were they not there.
If only he could be certain they were fine.
Another annoying thing about this whole situation was that he couldn't even go to the Sky God's palace and make it back in ti. There were 5 different Inter-realm teleportations he would have to take to reach the dicine world with the Sky God's realm sowhere in between.
From here, he would have to go to the Divine Sanctuary Realm, then to the Spirit Blossom Realm, then to Sky God's Palace, then go to the Divine Thunderforge Realm, and finally arrive at dicine World.
Those were 5 teleportation instances, requiring him to spend 40 years at the minimum and 50 years at the maximum in other locations before he made it to dicine World. Given how long he had to stay in this world before he had enough tickets to reach all the way there, it was bound to take him at least another 10 years, if not more.
Even in the best-case scenario, it would take him 50 years to reach the dicine World. While it was enough ti before the Tournant, that was just wishful thinking. There was no way he was going to take 50 years to do all that. Especially since he would also have to spend ti searching through the other worlds.
He had already made sure no one from his world had arrived in this place within the last 100 years, so he was certain his family wasn't in this world. But with so many people breaking through to Immortality back in the 3rd Major Spirit world, one of the next worlds was bound to have soone co through.
And that would force Alex to search through them all, just to make certain that was not his family.
If he were to not include Sky God's Palace in his journey, he could go to dicine World from the Divine Sanctuary realm. In just 2 steps, he could go there.
In just 20 years, he could reach dicine World. That would give him more than enough ti to prepare for the tournant because he knew he wasn't ready yet himself.
There were a few pills he couldn't handle yet, so he needed to be prepared for that. The invincibility pill was one of those.
Alex also knew that he couldn't leave without being a Supre Alchemist. That was just a matter of pride, and leaving without gaining that title just wouldn't sit well with him.
He couldn't help but sigh.
"What should I do?" he asked himself, hoping soone else would make the decision for him. He wanted to ask Pearl for help, but Pearl was inside the Tiless Palace and wouldn't be out for another month or two.
Whisker was there, so he called him out. He explained Whisker the situation and asked, "What do you think I should do?" Whisker had no answers either. "What do we do if we go to Sky God's Palace and don't find anyone there?" he asked.
"We go looking for them," Alex said. "Wherever they may be."
"So do we skip out on the event?" Whisker asked. "Or do we stop searching to take part in the event?"
Alex grumbled. "I don't know. This event, it is so important though," he said.
Whisker thought for a minute and asked, "If we ignore the possibility that they have already reached the Sky God's Palace, where else could they be?"
"Anywhere," Alex said. "We have no idea."
"Is this dicine World in that 'anywhere'?" Whisker asked.
"Yes," Alex answered.
"Then… why don't we skip Sky God's palace for now and start searching for them there?"
