Now reading: Chapter 2450 The Poison God's Courtyard from Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy, a Action novel by SnoringPanda.

The opportunity that had co knocking was as surprising as it was terrifying. A eting with a God for any reason would be scary for soone so weak like Alex.

He slowly stood up, looking at the man and woman. "Seniors, is this regarding the Dao of Detoxification my disciple learned during the competition a week ago?" he asked.

The man turned his gaze toward him, his eyes glaring daggers at him. "We… do not… presu," the man answered.

Despite their words, it was clear why the Poison God would want to et with Momo. Alex wondered if the Dao of Detoxification really was so rare that even the Poison God himself would want to et her. "Make your disciples already," the woman said. "Make a decision that does not disappoint His Deadliness."

"We will co, of course," Alex said, turning toward his master. "We should go, Master."

Silvermist quickly nodded. "Of course. We can't keep a God waiting. Let us depart right away."

"No, just those two," the woman said. "His Deadliness has asked for only the one who learned the dao and her master. No one else has been invited."

Alex paused, frowning. There was no way he was going to leave with so random Divinities without his master present. He turned toward his master to say as much, but Silvermist was ahead of him.

"That won't be happening," Silvermist said. "If you want my disciple and grand disciple to co with you, then I will have to co with you too. There is no other way."

"His Deadliness… has only asked… those two," the man said. "Do you wish… to go against… his wishes?"

"Do you wish to waste his ti going back and forth?" Silvermist asked. "Either all four of us go, or none of us will. You decide whether you wish to disappoint His Deadliness or not."

Eight people, two of whom were guards and guides for either group, made their way down the road toward a section of the newly built city where far more glamorous courtyards were built, spanning so wide that it could be used as a location for a small sect.

The man gritted his teeth in anger, his forked tongue slipping out from ti to ti. The woman, however, only sighed. "Fine. You may co with us."

The woman walked away, and the man followed.

"We'll be back in a bit," Alex told Pearl and Whisker, leaving them to stay in the house for the ti being.

Eight people, two of whom were guards and guides for either group, made their way down the road toward a section of the newly built city where far more glamorous courtyards were built, spanning so wide that it could be used as a location for a small sect.

The walls of these courtyards were massive, so seeing inside was quite impossible. Based on what Alex gathered from brief conversations Silvermist held with the two Poison God's subordinates, these were places built to house the various gods and their people.

They passed a few until they arrived at one that was painted purple and white, not so dissimilar to the robes these two poison masters wore. They walked into the courtyard and the rest followed.

There were several people in the courtyard, most of them won—quite beautiful ones at that. The guides stayed by the door, not walking in any further.

Alex looked around as he walked in, trying to gauge anything he could from the place. He wondered if there was a reason why there were so many won around. The thought of his having anything to do with Momo didn't sit right with him anymore.

There were n too, of course, albeit far less in quantity. And those that were present seed to always have so sort of defects to their features. They either had very chapped lips, or flaky skin, or thinning hair.

The forked tongue of the man before him was perhaps the reason why he was chosen by the Poison God too. Or was he given this afterward?

They finally arrived at the porch where they were made to wait while the woman left to announce their arrival. She returned a mont later.

"The two of you have been given an audience with His Deadliness. You may go visit him now."

Alex looked up at the woman, concerned. He looked toward Momo next, seeing his own feelings reflected in her. "Can my master not co with ?" he asked.

"He has not been invited. Only the two of you," the woman said. "Go now, or you may have to suffer His Deadliness' wrath."

Alex was conflicted. He didn't want to go, but he couldn't offend the man either. The best thing for him to do would have been to not even be noticed by a god. Now that he had, he needed this encounter to go as smoothly as he could.

"Master…" Momo called out with a look that asked him to make the decision.

Alex took a deep breath and finally decided that he couldn't let the Poison God get angry. He needed to go.

Just then, Silvermist stood up straight and spoke in as loud a voice as he could. "Your Deadliness, I am Peerless Alchemist Silvermist. I request an audience with you in addition to my disciple. Please grant my wishes."

The woman's face paled all of a sudden, which was quickly replaced with anger. "Such insolence. How dare you address His Deadliness directly when you haven't been—"

"It is alright, Bonedust," a voice said from beyond one of the doors. The door opened and a man walked out in simple robes. His face was ashen white with heavy powder, his lips were deep purple, and his hair was pale pink in color.

His presence alone was captivating to anyone who saw him, and it wasn't just because of who he was. His aura itself was strong.

Imdiately, Silvermist bowed, and the rest followed. Before Alex bowed his head, however, he caught the smallest glimpse of the room from where the man walked out of. There were won inside with the barest of clothes. One could only wonder what depravity the man was engaged in before this.

And he wanted them to co to him?

Alex kept his head lowered for a mont before peeking up at him. Was that surprise he saw in his face? He noticed where the god's eyes were staring at and knew it had to be in Grimsight's direction.

Did the man recognize Grimsight perhaps?

"So you are Silvermist, one of the Ten Stars of Alchemy," the Poison God said. "I have heard of you."

"I am honored to be recognized, Your Deadliness," Silvermist said. "I wish you the best of life."

The Poison God chuckled. "I do not ask for your prayers. I am not one of those," the man said before sitting down. A chair manifested on its own below him, created from a dark red wood with ornate designs upon it.

Silvermist gave a ek smile. "We have co as you asked, Your Deadliness. This is my disciple, Dawnblade. And this is his disciple, Zhe Moyang. I hear you wished to see these two."

The Poison God looked at them for a long mont before saying, "I rember asking for just two. And yet I see four."

Silvermist smiled. "Forgive my disciple, Your Deadliness, for he is nervous about eting new people. If I didn't bring him here myself, I'm afraid he would've taken much longer to be convinced to co here."
