Silvermist hesitated a little when it ca to answering the Alchemy God's queries. He needed to make sure he worded this correctly. It was a confusing ti for him, as never before had he had to walk on his tiptoes so much. He was a man who could speak what he wanted to speak and deal with the consequences later.

But with all the gods around, he needed to be cautious about what he said.

"Momo has shown interest in learning under you, Your Majesty. I only heard about it last night, and I do think it is a wise choice for her to join you. But, just in case she does change her mind, we would like to ask for so ti."

The Alchemy God raised an eyebrow. "Does she really consider coming to learn under ?" he asked.

"She does," Silvermist said. "But as I ntioned, we would like to be sure."

"Oh, don't worry about that. You have all the ti you need," the Alchemy God said. "Besides, I don't have much free ti for a while until after the tournant ends. So even if she does join right now, it won't be of much use."

"Then, will it be alright if we give you the answer after the tournant ends?" Silvermist asked.

"Of course," the Alchemy God said. "That is all well."

Silvermist breathed out a small sigh of relief. "Thank you, Your Majesty."

The Alchemy God simply smiled. "And for the next thing, I wanted to let junior Dawnblade know that the schedule for his interview has been set. It will take place in 11 days."

Silvermist raised an eyebrow. "That's quite far back. Is the scheduling perhaps not random?"

"No, all the ones who have done well in the tournant so far are pushed toward the back half of the schedule. We distributed them based on who the audience would show up for more, you see."

"That's smart. As expected of you, Your Majesty," Silvermist said.

"I wasn't the one who ca up with it. It was Duguan. She's the brilliant one here," the Alchemy God said. "Also, there's one more thing about the tournant that I hope your disciple won't mind."

Silvermist got curious. "What thing, Your Majesty?"

"The interviews will be held by the various gods we have present in the city. Many have taken a positive attitude to the idea, so we will have them host it."

Silvermist's eyes were wide as saucers. "The gods are the ones interviewing our disciples? Which gods?"

Whitesong smiled. "I cannot tell you which ones, but yes, the gods are. As of now, three gods I have approached have accepted the deal. A few more might, but I can't guarantee it. And I want each interviewer to be a surprise, so your disciple won't know who he is being interviewed by until he reaches the stage."

"Oh! That's going to get them nervous, being in front of gods," Silvermist said.

"Yes. So I need you to talk to them about it. Make sure they're comfortable with the idea. They can't refuse, but at least they can answer the gods' questions without stuttering."

Silvermist nodded. "I will let Dawnblade know as soon as he's done cultivating," he said. "He doesn't get nervous easily, so it should be fine."

"That's great," the Alchemy God said. "Well, that's all I ca to say. It was an excuse to et with Brother Grimsight anyway and apologize for nearly getting you into trouble with the Poison God because of what I did. Don't worry about him; I have dealt with the situation."

"Thank you, Your Majesty," Silvermist said.

"See you later, then. Farewell, Brother Grimsight."

Silvermist watched as the Alchemy God walked out of the courtyard and returned to dealing with the problems in the tournant. Once he was sure he was gone, he turned to look at Grimsight, who had remained silent for such a long ti.

It was normal for Grimsight not to speak for hours on end, but there was sothing weird going on here.

A look of shock remained on Grimsight's face, with his single eye still quite wide. His face had mostly returned to normal, but the eye refused to stop reflecting the emotion deep within his heart.

Silvermist had never seen Grimsight shocked to this degree.

"Brother Grimsight, what's going on?" Silvermist asked.

Grimsight needed to be called twice before he heard his na and turned to look at Silvermist.

Silvermist prodded for further information. "What's wrong?" he asked.

Grimsight's lips parted. "That… book…" he said slowly, his mind still trying to make sense of things.

"Yes, that's the Book of Endless Recipes. Haven't you heard about it before? Everyone has."

Grimsight wanted to speak his mind, but right at that mont, he stopped. He knew he shouldn't do it. He could not speak out loud the truth, not even through his Divine Sense.

It was too risky.

"I have heard of it," Grimsight said simply. "I had just… never seen it before."

"Of course, neither had I," Silvermist said. "Quite stunning, isn't it?"

Grimsight simply nodded, trying to remove emotion from his face, but his heart still beat like he had been running for the past half an hour. And he might as well have been, as his thoughts ran faster than ever at the mont.

Grimsight had just lied to Silvermist. The lie was that he had never seen that book before.

The truth was, this was the second ti in his life he had ever seen this book. This up close, he was absolutely certain of it.

The first ti he had seen this book was at the end of a long, dark hallway, inside of a massive tomb, placed next to the corpse of a God and her broken weapon.

He rembered seeing the corpse of the beautiful woman clutching this book tightly against her chest. Even in death, she seed to treasure it. There were more treasures in that room, but this seed the most important at the ti.

Grimsight had tried to get the book, but soone had gotten there ahead of him. He hadn't been alone in that tomb back then, after all. He had gone to that place with soone else.

The Grand Sepulcher of the Eternal Veil wasn't a place you raided alone.

Before Grimsight got to the book, the other person had, and as a result, Grimsight had to be satisfied with the other treasures around the room.

The other treasures were by no ans bad either. What Grimsight had found that day– rather, what Spearheaven had found in that tomb, was sothing that would make him humanity's greatest soldier. It was the one thing that he would take to his grave.

And still, he had always wondered what that book was and what it did. He had always wondered what happened to it. And today, he found out.

The Alchemy God had received it, and it was the book that had made him what he was.

However, Grimsight still couldn't understand why the Alchemy God would have a book that… that…

Grimsight's face fell into horror at that exact mont.

In his mory of the sepulcher, the person who found the book was a vague shadow. What was going on?

Why did he have no mories of this person anymore?
