Sothing about the ga changed when the War God spoke as such. The geographical location itself remained the sa, but the 5000 n were now different.
For one thing, they were no longer mortal. Alex could tell each one of them had a cultivation base of the True Emperor realm. Beyond that, there were other small things that had changed that caused Alex to frown imdiately.
Each person felt unique at this mont. So were strong. So were weak. So were good with swords, so good with bows. Each person was a unique individual point, and with 5000 different people, it was difficult to imdiately think who was good at what, despite the fact that the answers were all there for him.
"No two n are ever equal," the War God said. "So our battles need to reflect that. I have increased the difficulty. You will have so ti to review your people. If you have any questions, you may ask ."
Alex nodded and focused on the group, trying to get so answers. Controlling each individual person was impossible. You didn't even do that in a real war. So Alex first needed to figure out who the most important people were among the 5000.
The ones with the highest cultivation bases were 20 individuals in the True Emperor 9th realm. The number increased as the cultivation base decreased.
Alex focused on just those 20 for now, checking their attributes. Twelve of the people used swords and had a good fighting technique. It wasn't ntioned what the technique was, just that they had one.
Four of the remaining were archers, along with a technique that could hit multiple people from afar.
The last four had defensive techniques.
Alex was about to move on from the 20 when he noticed that one of the people with defensive techniques also had an additional technique that was simply referred to as healing.
He quickly realized this person could heal people he was close to at a specific rate.
Alex then began going through the remaining army and began separating them into three groups according to what he had found. The majority of them turned out to be lee fighters. There were also a good chunk of defenders numbering around 500, and about 800 archers.
Of the total, Alex found healing techniques in 18 of them. He knew what he had to do now. He had to keep these healers around the stronger people in his army and keep those n alive.
He went through everyone again to find out more. He needed so scouts still, so he searched for ones that were the fastest. Even though all the information was already there for him to learn, he still had to focus on each one to find out about them.
He hadn't focused on their speed just yet, so it required him to go through it all. He took out 20 or so people who were the fastest, one of whom turned out to be a healer. He was one of the best at that.
Alex needed to make a decision on whether to send that healer to scout or keep him back. Upon further thought, he decided to keep him back. Instead, he sent a slower scout in his place.
"I am just waiting on you," the War God said. "We can start whenever you want."
Alex looked through everything one last ti and nodded. "I'm ready, War God. You may start whenever you wish."
"Then let us begin."
The mont the ga started, Alex quickly sent out the scouts, although this ti to a less open position. The scout needed to hide as well as he could in the forest while trying to find out what was going on.
For the ti being, Alex kept his army together, choosing not to move them until he found out what was happening. He did begin to set up rearguards and vanguards using the defenders to protect their healers and archers while also sending them into the forest where they could hide.
For a minute, nothing happened. Each scout was hidden, trying to find others that were no doubt hiding as well. The scouts continued moving, but only ever so slowly. It would take a while before they t anyone in the open.
Alex frowned as he arrived at such a situation. How was the ga to continue if neither side made a move? At the sa ti, he didn't want to make a drastic move as he feared he would lose should he do that.
"In a real war, the battles sotis never happen," the War God spoke up. "Sotis, neither of them have anything to lose or gain, except a victory, so they remain cautious the whole ti, never fighting."
"However, sotis, they also don't get to stand around. Sotis, there are pressing matters that require both sides to fight lest they give the other group an advantage in the next battle."
"It is difficult to create such stakes within a ga such as this. So instead, to force our army to clash, there are incentives and threats. One of those should be coming up right… about… now."
Just as the War God finished speaking, light burst out from far in the distance that nearly half of the scouts managed to locate. The phenonon was so strong that no one could ignore it even if they had remained in one place.
Alex's eyes widened upon witnessing it. A natural treasure was born. And if the matter of incentives were to be believed, then this treasure would give an advantage to whichever team found it first.
Alex got the scouts to move in the direction of whatever the item was. One of them was closest, so he arrived first. When he did, he noticed about a dozen enemies closing in on it too.
The scout went up to see the treasure and found it to be so sort of flower. He was there first, so he tried to take it away, but it needed ti.
Alex looked at the approaching enemies and saw that a few of them were archers too.
'Shit!' he thought. He should have sent out so archers too.
Very soon, arrows began flying in his direction, and the scout could do nothing but run far enough away where he could watch the rest of the event unfold.
With many people there, the flower took no ti to be plucked. When it did, a dozen or so n gathered around the flower and were soon enveloped by its light. When the light vanished, nothing about them physically changed, but Alex could tell sothing else had changed.
If he had to guess, their cultivation base had increased, making those ten n much stronger now than they were before.
'I need to kill them quickly,' Alex thought and began spreading his army of 5000 into different groups, so to directly attack and so to ambush. He controlled the scouts to see if he could find the rest of the War God's army.
The scouts were on a suicide mission now. Their only job was to find the enemy, so they ran into forests and went uphill without a care for their lives.
Soon, he began locating portions of the armies, and the war began.
